olisaokere:Yes, you are right. Anioma is not an ethnic group but a nation with very related ethnic group. That they decided to create a word that has an Igbo meaning doesn't matter. It's a recent creation. It would matter if that was our ancestral name. Enuani is a recent creation. Ukwani is also a recent creation. Even the Igaloid/Yoruboid part of Anioma are called Odiana. This doesn't make them to be of Igbo origin. |

OMA means good in igbo languageAnd so? Did Nigerians become English because our name was coined to become Niger Area in English? |

I am from ndokwa West to be precisesay you are Igbo. Where are you from to begin with? It's possible that you have an Igbo ancestors but don't drag others into your igbo madness |

fratermathy:Inferring from ur shorter n better epistle, Nigeria has 250 ethnic groups on the dot and then 17,934 tribes. Okay Prof. thanks for the info. |

fratermathy:You so much remind me of ill-trained, unprofessional South African commentators during matches involving the Nigerian Super Eagles and South African Bafana Bafana. The South African commentators' unprofessionalism always comes to the fore that they betrayed their emotions and an average mind could sense their bias. If I tell the average reader that the OP is an Urhobo man, he will immediately spot your small mindedness, bias and your feeble attempt at pursing your petty Urhobo agenda. If there's a known fifth largest ethnicity in Nigeria, the Urhobos of which you belong has lesser claim to that position than the other two ethnicities which you tactically down played. fratermathy:This is the second time in this thread you made subtle moves to lump the Isoko and Urhobo into one ethnic entity. You are still being a little restraint here but soon we would see you throw caution to the wind as the stakes became high! ![]() fratermathy:You described the whole of Delta north which is geographically bigger than Delta Central as "Asaba and environs". A region which host big towns like Asaba, Agbor, Ise-Ukwu, Ibusa. How does it sound describing Delta central as "Ughelli and environs"? Like I told you in 2015, you're unbearably Urhoboic! Why didn't you mention that your own Urhobo speak different dialects too? You're really an intellectual nuisance and a fraud! A tribalist with little IQ! fratermathy:With special reference to the emboldened: while you have claimed in 2015 that your tribe has absorbed and swallowed up another tribe without recourse or sensitivity to the feelings and respect of the millions of Isoko sons and daughters who share a different view, you continued making assertions in this thread that these two distinct ethnicities are one and here you merged them as one! "Urhobo-Isoko"! YOU'RE MORE THAN AN INTELLECTUAL FRAUD, YOU'RE ALSO AN ECONOMIC FRAUD! What is Urhobo - Isoko? What concerns Isoko crude oil in Isoko land with Urhobo? Mr man, you're a disgrace and a shameful attempt at intellectualism. It should interest the readers to know that the Isokos have more oil reserves than the Urhobos. So the OPs interest in merging these two distinct ethnicities shouldn't be surprising ![]() fratermathy:Even without statistical evidence to back your bogus and far-fetched claims. Such is the Idiocentric, empty chest-beating associated with you and your lot. This thread was inspired by your insecurity and your Idiocentric and paranoic tendencies. You remain the greatest buffoon who made an attempt to adorn himself the ragalia of an intellect. |

TheUmbra:All that you did here is nothing more than childish tantrums. But I have some time for entertainment so I'll use it. 1. The first post made it clear that "MANY PERSONS" regard Urhobo and Isoko as one. Kindly explain to me how this translates into me saying that they are one. 2. Stating the history of the Isoko as a product of the defunct Eastern Urhobo province is not in any way a definite statement on the oneness of the people. After all, it was made very clear that they spoke different languages in my last sentence. Kindly explain how exactly this translates into my confirmation of the oneness of both tribes. 3. Compounding Urhobo-Isoko obviously implies that they are two separate, though related ethnic groups. A situation where no mention of Isoko is made but rather implied as a part of Urhobo would have justified your rantings better. Secondly, Urhobo has well enough crude oil (far more than the entire South East and Anioma put together). So I don't see the basis for your oil tantrums here. You just want to bring in unrelated things in order to deflate the main issue and the cause for your tribalistic cries; of which you seem to be aloof of how I implied them in my original post. 4. It was made glaringly clear in my original post that the dialects of Urhobo include Agbarho, Okpe and Uvwie. I guess you did not see that right? Bigotry must have blinded you to it. 5. Describing Delta North as Asaba and environs is NOT the case you raised. You said that I said Anioma is not ONE. That was the issue and you did not address this whatsoever. You are attempting to bring in another issue to this and one that you would also lose woefully. Urhoboland is not limited to Delta Central to begin with. Urhoboland extends well into Delta South and even to Bayelsa State (Ofoni). Of course, you wouldn't know this. How could you? Secondly, Urhoboland is frequently described as Warri area for geographical reasons and to create a map in the mind of the person who is not knowledgeable about these areas. The same logic was used in describing Delta North as Asaba and environs. Thirdly, I used the same logic in the description of languages spoken in Akwa Ibom State and no Akwa Ibomite seems to have an issue with that. 6. If you think my claims as to what Urhobos have is faulty, then present a superior argument with facts and figures, rather than jump up and down like a tribalistic monkey who just discovered that he has an ethnicity. Don't act like you have an issue with the Urhobo ethnicity because that would make you no more than a hater. If you have an issue with me, then hurl the most imaginative of gory words you have at my way so that everyone will know where your problem in life begins from. Otherwise, stay on topic and show everyone how exactly I implied that Urhobo and Isoko are ONE and that Anioma is NOT ONE! Take your time and look around yourself. Examine your life and the purpose of your tantrums, bouts and foamy exasperations here and you would see that the hate that has consumed you is so deep that you see connections in unconnected things, colorations in discolored things, and issues in trivialities. If they talk about the greatest Igbo men alive, you are not even among the first 30,000,000. Yet those who qualify as great and are the image of the Igbo don't go around acting like you lots do. This thread was for minorities to be heard and somehow, you guys found a way to come in here and do what you do best. In my original post, I also mentioned Yoruba and Yoruboid and no Yoruba is here making a fuss. That speaks volumes about you guys. Yet you and your lots are the ones going around peddling maps where people's ethnicities are forcefully annexed. Everyone is watching! I would love to see you try and explain how the things you quoted translate into the most important issue in your tantrums: "that I said Anioma is NOT one". I am still waiting... |

TheUmbra:While you still cogitate over my previous post, I want you to provide proof once again to where I implied that my tribe has "absorbed and swallowed up another tribe". This is a very heavy statement and demands to go with proof in order to convince your "many readers, East of the Niger" about the veracity of your claims. You know there is nothing like proof to make everyone hate in the same manner, proportion and intensity. I also await proof of this because if you are referring to the previous screenshot you posted then it doesn't float here. The post was a response to a question asked by other users on why Isoko was not treated as part of the topic and my response was that Isoko was treated alongside Urhobo, hence the usage of the word "submerged". That screenshot NEVER said anything you just did so kindly point out where you got the "absorption and swallowing" of Isoko by Urhobo from. Everyone is waiting please. |

fratermathy:You seem to be under some kind of unseen pressure! fratermathy:In your own words, Urhobo and Isoko are ONE. They were only divided for political reasons. You must think people suffer from the same IQ as you. |

TheUmbra:You only succeeded in ranting. When you are ready to show everyone exactly how I did what you initially accused me of then come and do so. Otherwise, you may keep your rants to yourself. Everyone who reads this altercation knows you didn't make any point. The little points you would have made were diluted with the hate you spewed, thus making your argument more of a vendetta than anything else. I choose to be better than you and your people! |

TheUmbra:Once again, you are deflecting. You said I implied that my tribe has "absorbed and swallowed up another tribe". Kindly show me how I said so. Why are you quoting that post in isolation? Why don't you quote the quotes I quoted too, as well as the TITLE of the thread? Place the quote into context, rather than look for a cheap escape from the statement you made. I am waiting... |

laudate:They are very predictable. BTW: Greetings o Chairman! I know you'll bear me witness that these guys have a way of invading threads concerning minority ethnicities and littering all over it. These are the same persons that want minorities to trust them or subscribe to their cause by force. They are the ones that constantly attack other ethnicities under the guise of "they attacked us first"! In the original post, I mentioned Igbo, Yoruba, Igboid and Yoruboid groups, and somehow, only Igbos, East of the Niger (trust me, Aniomas don't have time for trivialities like this- any self-proclaimed Anioma person here is an impersonator), are here constituting a nuisance and they think people are not seeing these. This would be how many threads on minorities that this pattern has occurred? 5? 20? 100? I've lost count! Yet they wonder why everyone dislikes them! |
| Re: 30 Interesting Facts About Some Nigerian Minority Ethnic Groups by fratermathy(op): 2:28am On Jun 23, 2017 |
aniomafirstson:Yes of course but you wouldn't know because YOU ARE NOT AN ANIOMA PERSON! You just created an account today, barely an hour ago, just to propagate your nuisance. Impersonating ethnicities just to prove which point exactly? That you are smart or to use the Aniomas to score some cheap points? Possibly to like posts created in your alternate monikers? Google Ugbodu, Olukumi, Aniocha South LGA. While at it, also check on Ebu (Oshimili North) that speaks Igala. Thank me for educating you later. |

fratermathy:Hmmn... well, thank God everyone on NL can read. Some of us actually went through each of your posts hoping to see where his claims could be substantiated, in order to check if the misunderstandings or confusion could be cleared up, but it appears that his interpretation of your comments was skewed, or he had projected his angst on to your responses. Anyway, I'm not surprised. Everyone already knows their modus operandi which appears to be "If you do not like the message, bash the messenger!" |

aniomafirstson:Oga Aniomafirstson, If you say they speak a dialect of Igbo, it is okay. Afterall, Bigfrancis21 has stressed this point already and we are passed it. What is certain and verifiable is that Ukwuani and Ika are regarded as distinct ethnicities in their own rights. Whatever the people choose to call themselves or what Igbos, east of the Niger, choose to call them is their own palaver. |
