You're an unrepentant intellectual fraud! And you lack shame even in the face of undeniable evidence.

I'm done with you - for now!
Honestly, I'm beginning to think you can't make a case without hurling insults. It makes you look weaker.

This is the first time I'm reading about Ibori looking like an Igbo man. It is funny and stúpid at the same time. Well, what do you know? It has been revealed that we are all from Israel. Better get you shawl and start planning on growing your beards. cheesy

This is comic relief.

I really don't know where the guy gets his very bright ideas from o!

I have met many ignorant people online but this guy is an entire category of his own. Israel! Like really?

He had it coming! It was the necessary weapon at hand to contain his contagious Fable.
Certain seemingly harsh measures are necessary when some one tries to tell the world about your people and their history in a distorted perspective with all the negative political ramifications it holds.

Now unless you're from Delta State, you wouldn't completely understand his deliberate assault on my people. It has been a stratagem applied one too many by him and his tribal folks to malign and divide my people.

The "insult" you saw was ditched out in a hurry, it would have been graver.

Since the OP feels he can group two distinct ethnicities - the Urhobos (his descent) and Isokos as one entity due to obvious similarities, he more reason to have applied the same principle to the Anoimas who are one people. But for political reasons, he applied two different standards. Above all, he called the Aniomas, a distinct Igbo group a minority. In today's Nigeria such false assertions come with all the negative political and social implications.

Next time he ventures into Anioma waters without caution and restraint, I'll sink the boat of his evil political expedition.

Your point could still have been made without the insults, vitriol and ad hominem attacks. sad

ANIOMA is NOT an Ethnic group.Like you said, the term A.N.I.O.M.A is a coinage and refers to the number of local government indigenous to igbo peoples of delta state and this includes ANIOCHA,NDOKWA,IKA,OSHIMMILI and the OMA which means GOOD in English Language. Now this term ANIOMA which means GOOD LAND was coined by Late Chief Osadebay from Asaba which he used to describe the igbo people of delta state that has other ethnic groups sharing same delta state with the Igbos..so please disregard any group or persons who tell you that anioma is an ethnic group.Only the mischievous people are the ones who would come to tell you that anioma is an ethnic group.
Yes, you are right. Anioma is not an ethnic group but a nation with very related ethnic group. That they decided to create a word that has an Igbo meaning doesn't matter. It's a recent creation. It would matter if that was our ancestral name. Enuani is a recent creation. Ukwani is also a recent creation. Even the Igaloid/Yoruboid part of Anioma are called Odiana. This doesn't make them to be of Igbo origin.
Re: 30 Interesting Facts About Some Nigerian Minority Ethnic Groups by ehikwe22: 11:44pm On Jun 22, 2017

OMA means good in igbo language

Anioma means good land in igbo language grin
And so? Did Nigerians become English because our name was coined to become Niger Area in English?

I am from ndokwa West to be precise

we are igbos

who are you to call us minorities?

op take ya time o grin

you better remove that thrash you posted up there saying aniomas are minorities chai
say you are Igbo. Where are you from to begin with? It's possible that you have an Igbo ancestors but don't drag others into your igbo madness

There are 250 ETHNIC GROUPS in Nigeria and more than 400 dialects spoken across the nation. Just because the artificial creation of Nigeria made Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba important doesn't mean I have anything to do with any of them as a minority man.

Inferring from ur shorter n better epistle, Nigeria has 250 ethnic groups on the dot and then 17,934 tribes. Okay Prof. thanks for the info.

1. The Urhobo ethnic group occupy Delta Central/South senatorial districts and is the most dominant ethnic group in Delta State. They share the same culture and worldview with the Isoko of Delta State (both are regarded as one group by many persons).

2. Ijaw is regarded by many as the 4th largest ethnic group in Nigeria with Urhobo coming as 5th (contested claims). Efik-Ibibio also claims to the be the 4th largest ethnic group in Nigeria. The Tiv are also regarded by some as the 4th largest ethnic group in Nigeria. No proper and current census has been done to validate the many population claims.

You so much remind me of ill-trained, unprofessional South African commentators during matches involving the Nigerian Super Eagles and South African Bafana Bafana. The South African commentators' unprofessionalism always comes to the fore that they betrayed their emotions and an average mind could sense their bias.

If I tell the average reader that the OP is an Urhobo man, he will immediately spot your small mindedness, bias and your feeble attempt at pursing your petty Urhobo agenda. If there's a known fifth largest ethnicity in Nigeria, the Urhobos of which you belong has lesser claim to that position than the other two ethnicities which you tactically down played.

fratermathy:

8. The Isoko ethnicity of Delta State used to be regarded as Eastern Urhobo until 1958 when James Otobo moved a motion for a separate Isoko province. This marked the beginning of a separate Isoko political identity. Isokos share the same culture and worldviews with Urhobos but they speak a different dialect that many Urhobos cannot understand.

This is the second time in this thread you made subtle moves to lump the Isoko and Urhobo into one ethnic entity. You are still being a little restraint here but soon we would see you throw caution to the wind as the stakes became high! grin

fratermathy:

16. The Anioma people of Delta State (Delta North- Asaba and environs) speak related Igboid languages. Anioma is an acronym for Aniocha, Ndokwa, Ika, and Oshimili (subgroups comprising what is regarded as Delta Igbo). However, these groups are constitutionally acknowledged as different ethnicities and they speak different dialects, apart from the Enuani (Aniocha and Oshimili) who speak a dialect of Igbo very close to Onitsha dialect.

You described the whole of Delta north which is geographically bigger than Delta Central as "Asaba and environs". A region which host big towns like Asaba, Agbor, Ise-Ukwu, Ibusa. How does it sound describing Delta central as "Ughelli and environs"?

Like I told you in 2015, you're unbearably Urhoboic! Why didn't you mention that your own Urhobo speak different dialects too?

You're really an intellectual nuisance and a fraud! A tribalist with little IQ!

fratermathy:

30. All of Nigeria's commercial crude deposits are within the territories of minority ethnic groups in the South-South region of Nigeria. The highest producers of the nation's crude include the Ijaw, Itsekiri, Urhobo-Isoko, Eket, Oron, Ikwerre, Ekpeye, Ogba and Ukwuani. Small quantities of crude oil can also found in Ondo (Yoruba), Abia (Ukwa East & West -Igbo) and Imo (Egbema & Oguta). Lagos State (Yoruba) has recently joined the league of oil producing states in Nigeria and oil has been discovered in the Lake Chad Basin (Kanuri) of North Eastern Nigeria.

With special reference to the emboldened: while you have claimed in 2015 that your tribe has absorbed and swallowed up another tribe without recourse or sensitivity to the feelings and respect of the millions of Isoko sons and daughters who share a different view, you continued making assertions in this thread that these two distinct ethnicities are one and here you merged them as one!

"Urhobo-Isoko"! YOU'RE MORE THAN AN INTELLECTUAL FRAUD, YOU'RE ALSO AN ECONOMIC FRAUD! What is Urhobo - Isoko? What concerns Isoko crude oil in Isoko land with Urhobo? Mr man, you're a disgrace and a shameful attempt at intellectualism.
It should interest the readers to know that the Isokos have more oil reserves than the Urhobos. So the OPs interest in merging these two distinct ethnicities shouldn't be surprising grin

fratermathy:

Bonus: Apart from crude oil, Nigeria's minorities are blessed with intellectuals (Urhobo, for instance, is said to have one of the highest concentration of Professors, Medical Doctors and Lawyers in Nigeria), mineral resources (Urhobo also has the highest gas deposits in Nigeria, gold is present in Plateau State), rich culture (the Ijaws and Itsekiris have various boat regattas and amazing festivals), historical monarchies (the Bini monarchy, the Itsekiri monarchy, the Calabar (Efik) monarchy, the Igala monarchy, the Nupe monarchy, the Jos monarchy, etc), tourist attractions (Calabar Carnival, Port Harcourt Book Festival, Ox-Bow Lake in Bayelsa, Oba of Benin's Palace, Confluence of Rivers Niger and Benue at Lokoja, etc)

Even without statistical evidence to back your bogus and far-fetched claims. Such is the Idiocentric, empty chest-beating associated with you and your lot.

This thread was inspired by your insecurity and your Idiocentric and paranoic tendencies.

You remain the greatest buffoon who made an attempt to adorn himself the ragalia of an intellect.

Even without statistical evidence to your bogus and far-fetched claims. Such is the Idiocentric, empty chest beating associated with you and your lots.

This thread was inspired by your insecurity and your Idiocentric and paranoic tendencies.

You remain the greatest buffoon who made an attempt to adorn himself the ragalia of an intellect.

All that you did here is nothing more than childish tantrums. But I have some time for entertainment so I'll use it.

1. The first post made it clear that "MANY PERSONS" regard Urhobo and Isoko as one. Kindly explain to me how this translates into me saying that they are one.

2. Stating the history of the Isoko as a product of the defunct Eastern Urhobo province is not in any way a definite statement on the oneness of the people. After all, it was made very clear that they spoke different languages in my last sentence. Kindly explain how exactly this translates into my confirmation of the oneness of both tribes.

3. Compounding Urhobo-Isoko obviously implies that they are two separate, though related ethnic groups. A situation where no mention of Isoko is made but rather implied as a part of Urhobo would have justified your rantings better. Secondly, Urhobo has well enough crude oil (far more than the entire South East and Anioma put together). So I don't see the basis for your oil tantrums here. You just want to bring in unrelated things in order to deflate the main issue and the cause for your tribalistic cries; of which you seem to be aloof of how I implied them in my original post.

4. It was made glaringly clear in my original post that the dialects of Urhobo include Agbarho, Okpe and Uvwie. I guess you did not see that right? Bigotry must have blinded you to it.

5. Describing Delta North as Asaba and environs is NOT the case you raised. You said that I said Anioma is not ONE. That was the issue and you did not address this whatsoever. You are attempting to bring in another issue to this and one that you would also lose woefully. Urhoboland is not limited to Delta Central to begin with. Urhoboland extends well into Delta South and even to Bayelsa State (Ofoni). Of course, you wouldn't know this. How could you? Secondly, Urhoboland is frequently described as Warri area for geographical reasons and to create a map in the mind of the person who is not knowledgeable about these areas. The same logic was used in describing Delta North as Asaba and environs. Thirdly, I used the same logic in the description of languages spoken in Akwa Ibom State and no Akwa Ibomite seems to have an issue with that.

6. If you think my claims as to what Urhobos have is faulty, then present a superior argument with facts and figures, rather than jump up and down like a tribalistic monkey who just discovered that he has an ethnicity. Don't act like you have an issue with the Urhobo ethnicity because that would make you no more than a hater. If you have an issue with me, then hurl the most imaginative of gory words you have at my way so that everyone will know where your problem in life begins from. Otherwise, stay on topic and show everyone how exactly I implied that Urhobo and Isoko are ONE and that Anioma is NOT ONE!

Take your time and look around yourself. Examine your life and the purpose of your tantrums, bouts and foamy exasperations here and you would see that the hate that has consumed you is so deep that you see connections in unconnected things, colorations in discolored things, and issues in trivialities. If they talk about the greatest Igbo men alive, you are not even among the first 30,000,000. Yet those who qualify as great and are the image of the Igbo don't go around acting like you lots do.

This thread was for minorities to be heard and somehow, you guys found a way to come in here and do what you do best. In my original post, I also mentioned Yoruba and Yoruboid and no Yoruba is here making a fuss. That speaks volumes about you guys. Yet you and your lots are the ones going around peddling maps where people's ethnicities are forcefully annexed. Everyone is watching!

I would love to see you try and explain how the things you quoted translate into the most important issue in your tantrums: "that I said Anioma is NOT one".

I am still waiting...

While you still cogitate over my previous post, I want you to provide proof once again to where I implied that my tribe has "absorbed and swallowed up another tribe". This is a very heavy statement and demands to go with proof in order to convince your "many readers, East of the Niger" about the veracity of your claims. I also await proof of this because if you are referring to the previous screenshot you posted then it doesn't float here. The post was a response to a question asked by other users on why Isoko was not treated as part of the topic and my response was that Isoko was treated alongside Urhobo, hence the usage of the word "submerged". That screenshot NEVER said anything you just did so kindly point out where you got the "absorption and swallowing" of Isoko by Urhobo from.

A huge pile of baloney you wrote up there! And it seems you actually bear the mark of an educated illiterate, or were you're trying to wiggle your way out of this mess you created for yourself?

What is the meaning of a hyphen as applied in your Urhobo-Isoko usage? Qualifying them as a single entity to a claim?

Was it not the same stratagem the Fulanis applied by deceiving the rest of Nigeria of a non-existent tribe called Hausa-Fulani?

You remain a fraud, one without shame! A thief who looks longingly at the oil-rich Isoko neighbours with one evil intention - annexation! Hence your claim that Isoko has been submerged with the Urhobos. And a quack who ventures into stormy tempestuous waters with sentiments for lifeboat.

You don't need to explain your thread, it is clear enough for all to see how you laced it with sentiments and falarhood. And I've provide proof to all your quackery and shallow knowledge.

The burden of proof is on you, owo-eating wizard. It's very like you people to make false claims and to antagonise others.

You had the chance of telling your readers about the different dialects in Urhobo in your opener when you introduced Urhobo as the first minority but for reasons best known to you, omitted it.

And when you're caught pants down, you try to flipp the debate. Every proof of your myopia, tribalism, bias and fraud that I've provided so far are from you. And they form a perfect image of your twisted and myopic perspective as stated in this thread.

Urhobo land is in Delta south like Itsekiri land and even Ijaw land is also located in Delta central. And as for Bayelsa, you have a handful of Hamlets that can't even make up a political ward. That makes you the 5th largest tribe in Nigeria, bloody Idiocentric, bigoted bum!

You deserved to be impaled with your guts poking out of your belly to serve as a deterrent to other quacks who take pen and start posting articles about people they knoq nothing about.

Of course the Yorubas have no reason to attack you, you didn't mention their kin in Kwara as minority.

And about your life, you're one left-behind, political sycophantic schlep who missed the political train long ago.

A small time, wannabe writer with a parochial mindset focused on tribal rumblings. You're at best a jester, at worst an annoying ignoramus who failed his geography lessons at secondary school.

Let it since in your dry school that Anioma is no minority tribe. And together with other Igbo speaking brothers who are indigenous to the south south region we make up the largest ethnicity in the whole of south south.

Eat that for breakfast!

BTW: Greetings o Chairman!

I know you'll bear me witness that these guys have a way of invading threads concerning minority ethnicities and littering all over it. These are the same persons that want minorities to trust them or subscribe to their cause by force. They are the ones that constantly attack other ethnicities under the guise of "they attacked us first"! This would be how many threads on minorities that this pattern has occurred? 5? 20? 100? I've lost count! Yet they wonder why everyone dislikes them!

There is a yoruboid part of anioma? shocked
Tell me more grin shocked

Mention the yoruboid part please

Yes of course but you wouldn't know because YOU ARE NOT AN ANIOMA PERSON! You just created an account today, barely an hour ago, just to propagate your nuisance. Impersonating ethnicities just to prove which point exactly? That you are smart or to use the Aniomas to score some cheap points? Possibly to like posts created in your alternate monikers?

Google Ugbodu, Olukumi, Aniocha South LGA. While at it, also check on Ebu (Oshimili North) that speaks Igala. Thank me for educating you later.

They are very predictable.

Hmmn... well, thank God everyone on NL can read. cheesy Some of us actually went through each of your posts hoping to see where his claims could be substantiated, in order to check if the misunderstandings or confusion could be cleared up, but it appears that his interpretation of your comments was skewed, or he had projected his angst on to your responses. Anyway, I'm not surprised. sad Everyone already knows their modus operandi which appears to be "If you do not like the message, bash the messenger!" shocked

Op I believe we learn everyday grin

Do you knw that the ukwanis...enuanis and all igbo speaking parts of delta state speak a dialect of igbo igbo language

Onitcha dialect is different from ebonyi dialect

Enugu dialect is different from IMO dialect

My point is they all speak a dialect of igbo language

And mind you they are not known as different ethnicities

You can counter me with facts and point I am ready grin

I created the account today doesn't mean I am not an anioma person

I am that guy that quoted you yesterday first with the moniker "joteee"

I deleted the account and decided to open this one grin

Oga Aniomafirstson,

If you say they speak a dialect of Igbo, it is okay. Afterall, Bigfrancis21 has stressed this point already and we are passed it.

What is certain and verifiable is that Ukwuani and Ika are regarded as distinct ethnicities in their own rights. Whatever the people choose to call themselves or what Igbos, east of the Niger, choose to call them is their own palaver.

Look @ the real igbo map

I am sure you can spot kwale (ukwani) inside

Are you telling that the person that drew this map is an illiterate? grin

You saying they are distinct ethnicities is like saying a man from imo state is not igbo grin

I rest my case

This is the second time in this thread you made subtle moves to lump the Isoko and Urhobo into one ethnic entity. You are still being a little restraint here but soon we would see you throw caution to the wind as the stakes became high! grin

You described the whole of Delta north which is geographically bigger than Delta Central as "Asaba and environs". A region which host big towns like Asaba, Agbor, Ise-Ukwu, Ibusa. How does it sound describing Delta south as "Ughelli and environs"?

Like I told you in 2015, you're unbearably Urhoboic! Why didn't you mention that your own Urhobo speak different dialects too?

You're really an intellectual nuisance and a fraud! A tribalist with little IQ!

DAT frathermaty of a guy is more than just a Fraud.
we are aware of his urhobo agenda campaign just like Tonyebarcanista.
Nwanne Daalu.
you are really doing well here.
hez now just busy ranting.

You seem to be under some kind of unseen pressure!

In your own words, Urhobo and Isoko are ONE. They were only divided for political reasons.

You must think people suffer from the same IQ as you.
wow.
pazienza
come and See this Guy o.
I thought it's only Nonaira1,ikechuks and DelticStephen are the only Aniomas that can fight this Dirty.
