Excuse sir, can you confirm to me that when you wrote AAA, and found an audit report standard in the study text, you still perused others sources to confirm what was clearly explained in the text? I can say I read well beyond the content of the study text, yet I was unaware of the revision. I think the least the Institute could have done was to add a paragraph indicating the revision of the standard in the pack released for May exams. Infact, the very least!

Definitely! But it had nothing to do with reading or not reading beyond the study text's content.

Just imagine studying for 5papers within 3-4months in addition to work. There was no time to read beyond the study pack . I studied what was written in the study pack and am 99% sure most people didn't know about the revised version....

I actually blame myself for not knowing about the revision. The fact that someone we sat the paper together knew about it only tells me I'm not totally blameless for not knowing.

I just thought that statement was way too diplomatic. Surreptitiously saying people didn't read beyond what they were given is off the mark. Besides, we have different access to information. I think the Institute could have at the very least included a notification of such revision in the latest study text, or posted something about it on their website.

We all know this cannot happen with ACCA.

I quiet agree with you. But one thing I want you to understand is that ICAN can never provide you with every resource material needed. That is the reality. We should also source for useful materials on our own.

my brother we know ican cannot provide the whole resources, but when there is a massive revision like that one should be notified, was it not the same ican that sent almost 5 messges at diffrent times to make sure we read the pack. I wrote 5 papers there is no time to start reading every material availble..they should be fair in things like this nd not bring it as a 30 marker

Am not scared though, what will be will be.. have passed some exams that I didn't do well in the compulsory question before and vice versa..so you guyz shouldn't entertain fear the little you write will speak for you nd get you tht 50 mrks you desire.

Their wrongdoing is not failing to provide all required study resources. It's providing one with outdated content while reteirating that students should make judicious use of the study texts.

I hope they do better in conducting future exams. They, and even we, cannot afford for them to keep lagging behind their major competition (ACCA).

i guess he is just making a statement based on trend analysis. Ican may diet results we all know doesnt delay that much. Last years own was released in the 27th of June. So hopefully next should be based on trends over recent years when to release the results. Just as he said congrates to myself and to everyone who believes God is in control
