Am an Igbo man from imo state, I believe in the Biafra struggle. My problem with the struggle is why should the igbos be trying to force the minorities on the struggle.

Please if the IPOB are not making plans of seceding without the minorities I think they should go back to drawing board and have a rethink. Trying to force the minorities to join biafra will lead to insult by other tribes if you can observe from some thread.

In one of the thread I saw an akwa ibomite spitting that the igbos are trying to force their Biafra struggle on them, to me is an insult cant we form a strong country without them, just imagine little tribe insulting the igbo nation all in the name trying to accommodate them in the biafra struggle.

To be frank with you neither ijaw, ibibio, iteskiri, nor Benin we don't share anything in common with them.

Please my brothers and sisters lets the struggle be between the five eastern state after the referendum any tribe who wish to join us are free.
Thanks

Don't mind those ipob boys. They want to impose biafra on people who dont want to be part of it.

The same imposition they are accusing Nigeria government of doing is what they are doing.
That's what you see in the conclave of touts called ipob.

i don't really blame those IPOB, the truth is that most of these minority people are staunch Biafran, they meet everyday and talk bout Biafra, and the way most media, led by yorubas are working very hard to ensure disunity amongst them give them a serious defensive mechanism, they have adopted to fight against the propaganda.
Imagine, Aba, that habours people from ibibio, igbo, ijaw etc, they belong and work together in IPOB family, and they come online and see faceless people denouncing IPOB, in favour of ijaw, will they succumb and fight back? these are the basic issues we are having as regards to this. Nnamdi kanu is a very intelligent fellow, i know the reason why he includes everybody, i will not reveal it here.. But watch out for that genuis in umuahia, he is dribbling nigeria like messi and maradona combined. i am beginning to follow his word with a tactical point of view.

Yes, I had similar argument with an IPOB guy. He said that they have too many people from those minority areas within their ranks, some of them occupying strategic positions, that it would be impossible for IPOB to cut off the minorities areas without losing the expertise, support and loyalty of those minorities within IPOB structure.

He was of the opinion that their hands are tied and that it is impossible for IPOB to start preaching an Igbo only Biafra now, without self destructing.
IPOB was never built on Igbo only foundation, those minorities were there from the beginning.

The way I see it, unless Kanu have foolproof plan in the kitchen, IPOB have maneuvered herself into an operational cul de sac.

The whole thing just weak me.

If IPOB fails, the Biafran dream would be set back by Atleast 3more decades, cos I don't know how else we are going to generate this type of critical mass we currently have.

It's depressing.

the best shot is to ignore them especially the tantrum, it exposes some unnecesarry backlash. we should justignore them. with what Nnamdi kanu said to the people from Taraba, and what he said about ijaw in the past, i dont think he is sticking his neck on them.
people like Emeka ihruoha, and barcanista are looking for an attention, these people are noise makers, if you know their way of life very well, they are loud, and brag a lot.
i was talking to someone from Obubura , he said they don't want to join Biafra and would not stay behind if biafra exit. After much argument, it was still same old shiiity of domination, and unknown fear, but insisted they will never stay with hausas. In fact the truth of the matter is that these people do not hate us, their view about us is too complex, they don't even know how to explain it.Another thing is, he said that the laws and leadership of Biafra will not be exclusive to Igbo, i told him that, we have to seat together and iron that one, and he said "unless that" The momentum must be sustained.I have high hope on Nnamdi kanu. He understands how the system works, that is why he keep dribbling them. He does not want the system to dictate pace to them.

No one is forcing anyone to do anything, but the Ni.gga area is forcing una to remain in the zoo, even when the Zoo president is comatose for 50+ days.

But they are just frustrated and instead of how to face Buhari and co they want to look for the easy person to attack. But they are doing themselves only

You make valid points sir.
However,I still do not see the need for Biafra for now.
Igbos are not yet ready for an independent nation; they'll have very much to lose if Biafra is granted today.
Even in Igbo culture, before a woman is finally led to her husband's house, she's usually prepared with gifts and certain other things that will make her reasonably comfortable in her new place. Same thing for a boy who learns trade from his master: they prepare him by a form of settlement,so that he can establish himself.
There's practically no infrastructure on ground in Igboland to ensure their survival should they leave Nigeria.
That is why the whole situation is dicey.
But I believe the Ohaneze is presently martialing out a plan in that direction. Which is why Nnamdi Kanu must reason and dialogue with them ( Ohaneze ndiIgbo).
For me,Igbos should hold on for now until they're prepared.
Pardon my digression from the main topic.

Sorry, but you know next to nothing about Ndiigbo or Igboland to meaningfully contribute to this discussion judging by your ill thought write up above that could only have stemmed from a position of ignorance.

I'd be happy if you stay off this discussion for now, until you go update yourself with requisite knowledge needed on the matter at hand, to enable you make meaningful contributions.

All what I said there is nothing but the truth; atleast to a very reasonable extent.
What "requisite knowledge" do I need to update myself with? In what specific area exactly?
If there's a privileged information you have on this issue and you feel that the ordinary uneducated people I encounter on daily basis who want Biafra know but I don't know, please do well to share or point to the direction where I can get it.

Listen man and listen well. Biafra is not an Igbo project same as Nigeria is not a Tiv project. Biafra is an ancient kingdom that covered what is SE/SS and the southern Cameroon and stopped at the Bini empire.

In the first Republic of Biafra, the following were held

Vice president- Philip Effiong (Annang)
Secretary to the Biafran Govt- Mr Akpan (Ibibio)
Commander of the Biafran Air force- Lt Col Kurubo (Ijaw)
Minister of foreign affairs - Mr MT Mbu (Ogoja)

In 1967, when Ojukwu was wondering what to call the new country he was about to declare, it was an Ijaw man called Frank that came up with the name 'Biafra' to remind us all of our ancient heritage.

So anyone who thinks that Biafra is all about Igbos is either ignorant of history or being mischevous.

In this new agitation for Biafra, IPOB is saying let there be a referendum in the SE/SS to give everyone a chance to be heard. Those who want Biafra can vote to go, while those who prefare Nigeria can vote to continue with it. So how is this forcing people into Biafra?

And if anyone says "we didnt ask for referendum", ask the person if they asked for referendum when Lugard was making them 'Nigerians'.

Igbo land is much larger than.the 5 states created by military opportunist. How can you have 5 Igbo states but 7 Igbo Governors? Igbos are indigenous to parts of Delta, Rivers, Benue and even cross River.

So anyone that says they are being forced into Biafra when they have always been historically Biafran and when this will be decided by the democratic instrument of a referendum simply doesnt know what the are talking about

if those group you mention above refuses to join the struggle must you force them.. My brother this is 2017 not 1967, If they want to be with the minorities leave them..

I have an ekwerre friend with an Igbo name who rufuse to be called an Igbo man or even accept to be called biafran. We must not force this struggle on them.. If they are willing to join so be it.

Stop using the word "force" when talking about Biafra. That word is best suited for Nigeria where all of us where forced into an unholy union called Nigeria by Lord Lugard and the British in 1914. When a person or people are given the choice to join or opt out of something, that is not force

Biafra is to be achieved by referendum. If Ikwerre or anyone else dont like Biafra, let them vote in a referendum to continue with Nigeria and nobody will disturb them. Those who vote to stay can stay while those who vote to go can go.

This is not novelty even in Nigeria. In 1961, British Cameroon voted in a referendum. Northern British Cameroon voted to join Nigeria while the Southern part voted to join Republic of Cameroon. That is democracy
