I take exception to this comment of yours. The fact that I chose to post on nairaland and seek guidance doesn't give you the right to insult me or my husband. Like IELTS is the true test of overall intellectual capacity of an individual. Rubbish
I was joking but nothing concerns me further. You can't control responses..some pleasing some joky. Any word like that?

But u had already made up ur mind..what are we contributing?

Don't be obtuse or should I say silly. If I had my mind made up, I would not have come here to ask.

ITA already declined after getting helpful comments for Azed1 and Perks.

All the best in your own application and if you are already a landed immigrant, good for you.

That will surely result in rejection. In fact, on POF matter, I've seen more rejection basis this than for not using 'gift deed' for lump sum especially for PR application (not nonimmigrant)

My opinion is; don't just have the minimum required funds. Try about 20% over the limit just to be safe.

Hello everyone.
I am new on this forum and I wish I had come here sooner. I have already submitted my application but I am a bit worried about finances. Does anyone know what exchange rate is used to calculate required amount. Is it the exchange rate on the day you submitted or that of the day your application was processed?
For example, maybe on the day I submitted, the naira equivalent of the amount I needed was 4million and on the day the financial side of my account was being evaluated, the naira equivalent rose to 4.3million because of inflation. Would I get rejected because of this?

I haven't really given Australia a thought cos I don't know so much about the place and the research I did showed that standard of living there is not so fantastic coupled with high discrimination. Don't know how true this is though.
If u can get a positive skill evaluation.. It cld b better than Nigeria. Racism is everywhere.

Finally. I hope we have enough good news in this thread. This was what I was talking about some weeks ago about people not maximising their points, now the thing has started creeping back up. @perks did you get an ITA? Congratulations

Pls I would like to find out if there is still hope for someone with a CRS score of 362. This is my 2nd IELTS and it stillamounted to 362.

I don't know if I should apply for a remark or just take this as a sign to bow out of this relocation pursuit. I've been devastated since the result came out. It's just so annoying after all the efforts and money spent on WES and other things.
NK
My 1st score is LRSW 7.5, 7, 6.5, 8
The 2nd is LRSW 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7
Hubby score is LRSW 5, 5, 5.5, 6.5

My age is 34.

You both need to do ielts to maximise your points and also think of PNP route, check @superchi posts and the various websites for info. Don't let anything or anyone trigger you. You are here for a mission, get your tips and forge ahead. Good luck

Perhaps a whole hearted apology would be nice. That was quite offensive.

Don't worry about it sis. CRS will surely drop again.
IF CIC does back to back draws. The relatively high number of today is because of the changes they recently made and a backlog that has built up for several weeks.

Congratulations to the ones who got in today!

Those who did not get a ITA today, don't be troubled. It's expected that the numbers would go up considering the 4 weeks break. What goes up must surely come down.

Plus the lull.

Yeah, it led to the "pent-up demand".

You can also observe that review of medicals has been faster since the lull as seen from May AORs. Ontario will laugh all the way to the bank for now as more candidates with 400+ who were previously sitting on the fence opt for them. Talk of "a bird in the hand"...

@deeore Congrats! Wish you speedy PPR.

@bbaby84 Don't despair, you should get ITA in the next draw by God's grace. Cheer up! smiley

They use official exchange rate. Oanda/XE.com I believe the rate at the time u submitted shd be valid.

Congratulations @deeore and everyone who got ITA. To us waiting for ECA and IELTS, we will get there too. To new comers, try to read through and screen grab the information you may need, the way Nairaland takes time to load, no one knows when a tsunami might happen again and clear the information. We will surely get there.
