My sister missed her test because of this. Go to British consulate office not TLS. It's also in Victoria. Island. They stop giving passport by 1pm. We found out after the test that you can do this. You can't do the test without the passport except you have a medical report and you won't even get a full refund.
Go to the consulate today

@optionese thanks i have spoken to a rep there and told me to send a mail explaining when my passport wld be available as i can be rescheduled for the speaking when i send an e-mail.

Naija PCC....go to the office at alagbon with your international passport, passport photographs (i think 2, but they should have a place for that close by) and money for negotiation because there is no receipt for payment and you are taken to another room to discuss. Takes about 30 mins to 1 hour but its same day.

As to the second one. It depends on the reason for the rejection. You will be given a chance to explain yourself. Should not be a problem.

Ok. Thanks so much.
Please for those that have done medical, between Qlife, Children practice and IOM which one is cheaper and faster.

Thanks

I was going through this CRS calculator, please what does this question mean and its possible answer:

Have you worked as a skilled TRADESPERSON on a full-time or an equivalent part-time basis for at least two years out of the last five years?

NB
Who is a skilled tradesperson?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by hifyty(m): 10:58am On Jun 29, 2017
@Baisy,

That is misrepresentation and grounds for a 5 year Ban. It is not worth it, Patience is the name of the game for Canadian PR, If i were you, i would reject the ITA and wait for my ECA to come in. Point 3 means you will likely need an FBI PCC, Looking at trends, that might take you 2- 3 months to get. Once you get your ITA, your 90 days count down begin so you need to get your docs ready. Your Reference letter can be have the heading To Whom it may concern and have your Co Founder to sign on this. I am sure i have seen a couple of samples on this thread. search and you'll find.

All the best!

Hello everyone.

I am new on this forum even though wifey has been telling about how great this forum is. In fact, she shared useful information from this space with me in the past.

So I received ITA yesterday but there's a snag because ECA wasn't completed by the time I submitted my EE profile. My questions will in three folds and I will appreciate if anyone can give guidance on how to proceed.

Here goes:

1) What do I do because the date quoted in the EE submission for ECA will be totally different from the ECA Certificate? Reject, edit and wait for next draw?

2) I have worked and lived in different countries in the past so knowing that I need security clearance in Nigeria, can anyone advise on how to get clearance in UK & America?

3) I currently work in a company I co-founded and knowing that there has to be Reference Letter from place of work (also do I get from all my past employers), I will appreciate if anyone has a sample of the sort of letter to write plus who is it supposed to be addressed to?

Lastly, is there any other thing I should know about?

Thank you people.

1. Reject the ITA as the date on your ECA will be different and that would amount to misrepresentation and a 5 year ban

2. UK PCC- https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx
US PCC called FBI Identity History Summary Checks- https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks

3. Reference letters have to be from jobs you are claiming points for and the maximum points is for 3 years. So every other job can go into personal history. You will not have to provide reference for those ones, what the letter(s) should contain is on this page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

Thank you alt3r3g0
My points with the right years of experience (445) is lower than the points I got ITA with (470) but a lot higher than the cut off for the draw I got ITA with (415).

I can still get more than 3 years of experience but it would mean having to get references from another company. I do not want to go down that route.

If things go well and according to Canadavisa predictions, I should receive another ITA in the next draw or two because my points currently stand at 445. I lost 25 points for not claiming 3 years or more.

If I do not get ITA in the next two draws, I would have to add the company that's giving me concerns. All it would require is eating some humble pie and grovelling. That would bring me back to 470.

Thanks once again.

Wow... You would have been fine as you were still above the ITA cut off you were awarded with the recalculated points. What they would have done is recalculate your scores as 445. Does not count as misrepresentation. Seen a couple of people make same mistake.

All the best for the next draw.

Please I need urgent help.

Aor March 31St
Medical passed June 1St.

Our background check has been on NA until I checked today and saw we are processing your background check so am hoping that is IP2.

If that is IP2 am also hoping ppr will be coming soon by God's grace

My issue now is that I am travelling to the US this weekend for the birth of our baby and won't be back to Nigeria until ending of August..my husband will also be in SA for work till first week in August.
I have read that time limit to send passport is 15days but we both won't be In the country.

If ppr comes this week or next can we both risk sending our passport from different countries hoping we get it back before we need it to leave where we are.

If that is too risky please what do you advise as I won't be able to send the passport till two months after the passport request.

Will definitely be back to share my ppr time line once we get it.

Gurus in the house please help.

I am back again please help me...we finally got a mail today requesting for our passport o...is that ppr. I am in the us already for the birth of our baby and my hubby is in SA for work.
This is our timeline.

ITA ...feb
Aor...March 31st
Medical passed ...June ist.
Bg IP1...June ist
Bg NA....June 5th
Bg IP2...June 20th

As for number one...just add an LOE. People have made changes from their EE profile to their post ITA profile. I did same myself.

Some have filled work experience in EE, removed post ITA. Some filled relative in Canada and removed same when they found out it does not affect cut off point post ITA.

I dont think being proactive will count as misrepresentation. Just add an LOE when attaching it. If i am not mistaken, you will be allowed to change the date post ITA because you will fill another long form..even longer than the EE profile. I believe thats what you are accessed on and not the EE profile. You will now be asked to provide docs to back up what you have claimed on this post ITA profile. For example you claim 3 jobs in post ITA form, you will see three place holders asking to upload 3 reference letters . Edit the form to 1 work history, and the place holder for reference will change accordingly to 1.

All the best

Congrats. Thats PPR. Your profile will remain the same until it's received and stamped.

You should send a mail to cic for them to advise on the best place to send your passports.

Yeah, I guess so.

However, I don't feel bad about it because it gives me an extra month or two to get my finances in order and due to other commitments, we won't be able to relocate until late 2018 anyways. So the more time I can buy, the better.

You can also try calling them on +16139444000, then use the following extensions on the IVR to get connected to an agent. 1-1-1-2-2-2-2-0

Just to share what i did. My wife was the primary applicant. Even though we had the finances, there was no way it would remain untouched due to major projects on ground. So got some extra funds, transferred to wifey and did a gift deed. Left the funds in her account for a week, printed the bank statement and used that. No FD or Tbills but funds were 10k cad above what is required by CIC based on family composition.

All the best.
