Nothing is messed up. Even if the court frees him on a technicality, such as the failure of the police to charge him within the prescribed timeframe, they won't acquit and discharge him, which means he can be arrested again the minute he steps outside the court building, and charged properly.

This is just a desperate move by a man whose neck is already warmly festooned by the hangman's noose. grin

The court has not fixed a date for hearing of the the suit by the suspect, who is also seeking an order of perpetual injunction, restraining the respondents from further arresting, detaining, harassing, investigating or inviting him in relation to the facts of his case.
