This group leading stuff can't be overflogged in my group it seemed as if three people were now fighting. If it wasn't an interview I might have laughed.
One was forming retentive memory and called the other a name. The girl retorted that's not my name.
I think focusing on making salient points is very important. If you are not audible they would tell you guys to speak up.
HCP organization is really top notch.
If not yet scheduled and you are uncomfortable please call HCP up, they would clarify things for you. Cheers

The group leading thing could be a gbese o. The guys in my group smartly collected all the leading positions. The time keeper, moderator, and Secretary. I no send them. I only tried to pick any opportunity that came my way to blow my grammar. Even though our moderator gave everyone equal opportunity to speak. Our leaders did well in the leading thing sha. Don't just blow grammar, be analytical. If you can add eloquence to it, great!

But I noticed the judge penning down something whenever I picked an opportunity to speak. I don't know what he was writing sha. But my group members counted me among those that contributed well.

So, no go drag leadership. Contribute well, and reason with others. Don't belittle their ideas.

Thanks for your contribution, your success is assured.
Please, this logical reasoning , is it the true, false, cannot say questions? or "if true will weaken/strengthen the argument", also the numerical part, were there tables and graphs (fully shl) or normal GMAT question that just contains graphs and tables, just want to know if am preparing in the right direction, haven't been invited yet. Thanks for your quick response.

Numerical: graphs, table
Logical: Not true or false, just the application of logic in situations.

HCP & FBN should really be commended, the AC is well structured, organised and coordinated.

For those that haven't done theirs, the bedrock IS CONFIDENCE & TIME MANAGEMENT. I noticed something about the carrier inventory, some of the questions were repeated with some rephrasing and restructuring, so answer them carefully so that your answers won't be contradictory. Success.
what's the group discussion, all about?

Hitech PLC are a Korean company who produce high technology goods such as CD players. Recently they opened a factory in the town of Marstairs in Thanet, Kent, an economic development area. The factory is doing well with 69% of its sales coming from the British market. However relations with the local population are poor.

The anticipated benefits to the town from the building of the factory haven't materialised, as most of the workforce needed to be highly skilled and were brought in from other areas, thus providing little local employment. These non-locals were highly paid and have pushed up prices in the local shops and also house prices leading to resentment.

The Chief Executive is aware of this resentment and wants to improve the situation. The directors have agreed that up to £300,000 may be spent on a scheme to benefit the community and lift the company's image in the community.

Three possible schemes have been put forward:

Scheme 1.
The local hospital wants to set up a new heart disease unit. A donation of £300,000 would make this possible.

Picture of Hospital
Scheme 2.
The Marstairs Arts Centre is a charity that runs a prestigious orchestra for young people as one of its activities. The orchestra has been invited to tour Northern France next Summer. The company could enter into a deed of covenant to pay the Arts Centre £100,000 for the next four years.

Picture of Violin

Scheme 3.
The local football club Marstairs United are a Championship Division club sometimes seen on TV. £250,000 would advertise the company in the ground and on the team's playing strips for two years.

The views of the Chief Executive and Directors are as follows:
The Finance Director
The Finance Director's Calculations:

Scheme 1. No tax savings would accrue.
Scheme 2. Tax savings from this would be £25,000 p.a.
Scheme 3. A tax saving of £100,000 would accrue from this.Graph
The Marketing Director feels:
Scheme 1 would scarcely increase sales at all. The unit would be small but the publicity would be very positive.
Scheme 2 would give a moderate increase to sales in France. The company is shortly to launch a marketing operation in France and though there would be no advertising, the company's involvement would be publicised.
Scheme 3 would have a major impact on sales. Some problems are that cricket is as popular as football in Kent and hooliganism has been a problem at the club.
The Chief Executive
The Chief Executive has said that she would like to see other benefits to the company as well as the public relations boost.

The Chief Executive has asked you, as a promising young manager, to study the three proposals and make a recommendation on which of the schemes the company should support and why for consideration by the Board of Directors at its next meeting. Only one of the schemes can be supported. After examining all the information say which scheme the company should support and give your reasons.

The assessment was indeed well organised. I was scheduled for last Friday, 1:30 pm.
I got there early because it's my first time in Lagos. Got to the venue at 10am, the academy is behind first Bank along Eric Moore road. I had a lot of time to chill out at the cafeteria.

Everyone has said a lot already, just let me chip in a few observations.

The point of accreditation was the first point of call, there I overheard the organizer saying dressing is very important, he specifically said that it's 5point.

The topic of discussion is also very important, keep it some where safe. You will need it for your presentation and essay, by then you might not have time consult the points you jotted.

Presentation is power point not power word, also know that whatever topic you are giving, the bank must play a role. You might like to input the bank role as well.

Time is always of the essence, I lost my lunch pack in the midst of the whole thing, we were giving about 5mins for that sumptuous lunch. Just keep it somewhere and you can always go back for it.

You might also want to to look into the banking services offered by first Bank.
Numerical reasoning, just study all sorts of charts(distance, commission, discount etc.)
Logical reasoning is similar to the analytical reasoning in dragnet. All the best

All you guys still giving advice to people that havent gone for ac,do you all realise this is a competition? Based on how many points you are able to garner, the remaining ones yet to do ac might be just the number they need,I remember the fbn man in charge of documentation telling us its one man for himself and till now some people do not realise that, the basic has already been given as a guide, you don't need to spill more,so guys please comport yourself and let this recruitment be as fair as possible, and let us not make the first set of people that went for the ac,more disadvantaged

Sister pack well. Don't get bothered by other people's success or tip sharing. If you have done your AC then go and pray. The only person that can stop you is you. Not anyone else.

You're right, but only YOU can stop YOU. Another thing I learnt from the AC, no matter how much you've prepared, if you're not smart and confident you can't perform well, thanks to God we can't infuse smartness and confidence into people. Take the aptitude test for example, I doubt those who wrote later performed better than those who wrote earlier. Some students still fail after seeing WAEC question.

You are right anyways, its not like I don't believe in aiding others but to an extent and not at my own detriment, everybody wanna escape joblessness or low income, during my ac,I came on time and discussed at length with about five others,we shared knowledge and there was one particular thing I told them, when we finished they were all thanking me,cos everybody was asked that question during interview, and they didn't know it before I told them.so I believe in helping as far as it does not put me at a disadvantage

The reason why you gave a wrong info the other time when asked about the numerical and verbal reasoning ba?
Nobody is against spilling out info or vice versa, but for yoy to mislead others because it is a competition says well of you. I couldn't imagine the disapointment in my face when I was told to focus on a particular area and another area entirely came out in the test.

The truth of the matter is that the only thing we need is God's grace and not to think too much about misleading others so as to be in a better chance of grabbing the job.
