Assuming the letter X represents APC

X = 1 + (-20)
X = 1 - 20
X = -19

Nigeria have always been a goldmine right from time.. What's killing us is the so much importance we lay on education.. Millions of capable hands who should help improve the economy are behind the classroom, wasting away time and resources.

The good thing is, the things we overlook can fetch us huge cash if done well.. They are so easy and humble that we always overlook them easily. Take for instance, snails farming.. If you can produce over 1000 mature snails and sell for N50 each, that's about N50,000. And the thing is, you can produce more than that and it's so easy to start Up. Not capital intensive.

Let's take a look at egg supply business.. this another lucrative business out there..

cucumber farming is also a good business to invest in. one cucumber goes for over N100, even more. if you can start a farm and produce like one bag, just do the maths and be wowed.

I won't talk about poultry nor fish farming.. These have made many secret millionaires

what about importing goods from china which is as easy as facebooking... hmm... I won't say much.. but opportunities abound in niaja..

Most of these businesses are high in demand. You don't even need to worry about locating your target market.. All you'll need to do is keep producing as your Customer base keeps going higher..

So in your opinion the young people should leave schooling to rear snails and farm cucumber and eggs ?
That's how China, Korea and Singapore did it ?
Receive sense Mister.

Excuse me did you say education?
Maybe its the quality of the education that is the problem.
Whay do you expect when the curriculum used is outdated
Even the business you talk of, take the cucumber thing
You are talking of cucumber patches where hoes are being used to cultivate the crops.. peasant farming . When we talk farming we are talking acres and acres of land and measuring produce in mega tonnes, mechanized farming and shìt. I laugh when I see some wannabe farmers displaying their produce here and its laughable that you think an economy can be built on peasant farming

Hello.. I get your point, but I think you should know quite well that mechanized farming needs millions of capital to kick off... For an average Nigerian who doesn't have such enormous amount, he can start with little and grow from there. it's not about starting big, it's about beginning small and ending big.. If I'm able to produce one bag of cucumber.. and thousands more youths produce theirs, do you know the boost that will surface?

1 cucumber is N100 in the market, the bigger size goes for N150. if I'm able to produce about N500 cucumbers, that will be over N75,000.. The good thing is, a bag of cucumber is way more bigger than that.

The problem we face as individuals is when we have business plans, but refuse to take a step because the amount at hand is small. Start small, end big..that is the vision.

You are already talking of how much you can make. I am talking of something sustainable, building an industry not 75k , 1m but billions.
There are many ways to get capital
1. Those agric banks can give loans but I dont see that happening. Most Nigerians will squander the loan on buying car and building house, then invest what little is left
2. people can achieve more when they come together, pool their resources together. But in this shithole where everyone thinks of only him/herself. With that "Me ,myself and I -fùck everyone else" mentality I dont see that happening either
You talk of starting small. In all honest how many small farms do you know grow to tye size of which I speak of.
Most times tye farmers when tuey grow to thay size become careless then start squandering the money on cars and stuff negpecting to reinvest till its too late and the farm packs up. Most times the farms that eventually make it fold up as soon as the owner dies. Even the likes of Ota farms Im sure is still thriving because the owner was head of state and has a very fat pension

So how do you plan on making something sustainable when the finances aren't there? How do you build a 1billion worth industry when you have not even taken a step in acquiring at least, a plot of land? Let's be realistic here bro... The problem isn't about building a billion dollar empire.. It's the capital to make such dream a reality. One of the major hindrance entrepreneurs face is the resource to start their dream business.[/quote]

The bolded assertion is fallacious. Don't commit that again. Do you know the requirements in other to secure a loan? We're talking about average Nigerians here who are so down that they can't even meet 20% of the requirements. How do you think they should go about getting a loan?

2. people can achieve more when they come together, pool their resources together. But in this shithole where everyone thinks of only him/herself. With that "Me ,myself and I -fùck everyone else" mentality I dont see that happening either
Lemme quote a wise man 'Man is a selfish being'. Can you start a business without first thinking about what's in for you? Say NO is lying to your very self.

Partnership business is good, but do you think that's where the answer lie? What if one was unable to locate individuals with visions as his, he should give up on his dreams? Nah.. no matter the available resources, there's no excuse for not kicking forth with a business idea. Start small, end big. Not every one has a vision to expand, but few do.

I think you're now reasoning deductively and it's not cool at all. You don't need to generalized. I know of a person who have made so much investments through his cucumber farm. Mr. A started a business but didn't make it big. Mr. B started the same business but failed to build a billion worth empire, that doesn't mean Mr. C will thread on that same path.

Thank U.
