Hello house,

I have worked from 2010-2015 in three different companies and have a lacuna of 8 months reducing my years of experience to about 4 years.

Can it affect my application?

No it won't. As long as your job with the 3 companies is in the same NOC, you are good to go. Just be honest in your application and make sure you can back up/prove everything in your application if additional info is requested.

I strongly suggest that you go with Boss.13 and dupy.shoo's advice. Afterall, you are not claiming points through him. You don't want to take the risk of him uploading the wrong document.

Good morning house. Please does anyone have any idea or knowledge about Ontario NOI? I have few days to accept (I read I have to accept in 45 days) I just want to know if its worth paying that large amount of money. Biko help a sister. My score is 405. Thank you
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 11:35am On Jul 04, 2017
I will advise you do not do this... you have nothing to lose if you don't claim you have a relative over there.

This is too risky... Also considering the fact that he/she changed his/her mind last minute for reasons you do not know.

All the best still tho.

If you have the cash, it's your best option as the scores doesn't seem like it would get to 405 at all this year.

I have read the posts of other people on this forum/thread who also have marital challenges but I have not found a definite answer as my case is quite different. Therefore, my apologies for bothering you with my personal issues but the success of my migration to Canada depends on this.

Background:

I was married for five years with two children but the marriage has broken down irreparably and we’ve been separated for a little over 2 years. About ten months ago, when it was apparent that there was no solution in sight, I filed for divorce but my wife has been trying to frustrate the process. At first she refused to accept the court service, dodging court officials. Due to this my legal team applied to the court for substituted service but her parents (rich and connected) are frustrating that too. She has abandoned the children with me from the beginning so I am confident that I will get custody when we get judgement.

The issue now however is that I am ready to go into the EE pool and while I will choose “Separated/Divorce” as my marital status, there is no document to confirm this other than the copy of the petition for divorce and the application for substituted service filed by my lawyer (both documents duly stamped though) as the case has not yet been called for hearing.

My Questions:

1. Will the available documents suffice and how will this affect my application?
2. How do I handle the children’s application?
3. What other choice(s) do I have which does not include asking my wife to do IELTS/ECA which she will be very happy to frustrate?

Your opinions will be highly valued. Thank you.

What you need is just one document only which ia a reference letter in CIC format for the correct job title.
Even if you wanna add supporting documents, don't put a document with conflicting information

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Thank you all for the information you have provided.

I have an ITA from last week.

But i have the following concerns

My funds will not have lasted 6 months in my account by the time i submit my documents.

An uncle gave me 1.5m which i transfered to my Money market account

My mum gave 1m which is in my salary account

A cousin also gave 500k which is also in my salary account

I have block of six flats with deed of transfer from my mum and current valuation details.

How do i sort out my POF?

Should i just refuse this ITA?

If i do, what are the implication?

My company owes me some months salary thats why i had to get a lot of help from relatives for the funds.

What do i do?

Thank you.

Now this brings to fore something that has constantly been on my mind but I've just kept my fingers crossed abt.. ..We decided not to include Le boo's step siblings (12 of them cry) in our app. I know som1 said it doesn't matter, as long as they won't use him to claim pointsoon for siblings in future...pls what do you guys think? Do we have anything to worry about? Hope it won't amount to misrepresentation ooo

I repeat again. This is risky and you cannot see the document he has uploaded. For someone who cannot scan and send his document to you, what is the probability of him uploading the same document and what is the difference between sending his document via email and him logging in with your details, reviewing your application and then uploading his document.

That's a huge risk you are taking. If he is not going to give you the document, let him be. If he cannot trust you with his document, why would you trust him with your own application. Just my thoughts

Hi winter, I'm assuming you want to use the fact that you have a relative in Canada to your advantage, it doesn't work that way o, please if you're not claiming points from said relative, edit your profile and remove the option as others have suggested.

Considering your score, if you have the money please take the option, however check for eligibility too, receiving NOI doesn't necessarily mean you meet OINP's requirements. 1k5CAD is not beans

Guys, lets take time and read the entire text from CIC and understand. Yes, points will be calculated at ITA and recalculated at e-APR and should the points at e-APR be lower than the lowest score in your draw, you will be refused. But CIC clearly states that change of age is exempt from this, although it seems it is at the discretion of the VO.

Section A11.2 states how applications are accessed. It basically says all of the info you entered should be maintained till e-apr or else your application will be rejected.

Just a little below, there is an exemption to section A11.2 which refers to candidates who have had a birthday after ITA. It clearly states that the officer should or can exempt such candidated from section A11.2 and according to section A25.2.

My thinking is that every thing you need to do to maintain your status post ITA and pre e-APR is in your hands, but age isn't. ECA expires, get another, ielts expires, write another. But then, How do you improve on your age when it changes.

Please lawyers in the house, help us disect this issue according to CIC so we can put the matter to rest as it has come up numerous times.

Also, esosa4real, it would be great if you posted that letter here as it would enlighten us further.

It's important so we don't mislead people either way.

Thanks all

Its a bit unsettling as a woman to read these kinds of things about women neglecting their kids. One starts to question actions and reactions. However while your marriage isnt the main issue, I hope and pray for you both especially because of the kids.

I must commend you for taking care of the kids even though I cant condem her without knowing her reasons.

In response to your questions
a) I beleiver you should apply as Separated. The documents you have should suffice. Especially since they will bear details and dates...
http://www.statcan.gc.ca/eng/concepts/definitions/marital04
b) go ahead and fill their details in your application. Whether or not they leave with you at the time of PR they must be mentioned to ever be eligible.
c) even though your wife will be included in ur application by mentioning her, she doesnt need to do ielts or eca. You can simply put her details in personal history and not claim points for her education or work

Im very sorry but you cannot at this point leave her out. Beacuse if you do and she finds out, she will spoil your Canada dreams by sending them information you misrepresented.

Goodluck

Hello Guys,

I have been having struggles with my wife's WES verification from Uniben. Information I gathered from here (Nairaland) was that the verification can be concluded at exams and records.

But my contact there is saying that upon receipt of WES verification letter, the verification still undergo processing going through some tables for signings, and then need to be sent back to WES via hard copy through DHL. That means another cost of N12K+ for DHL.

Please who has done WES verification from Uniben before. I need clarification.

I refused to use the contact that process the initial transcript because he used standard mail to send the transcript to WES Canada hence it took over 4 weeks to get there, that was after collecting cash for DHL.

Please help.

Hello,

I don't have any experience@UniBen but I will just give you a few guide asper Nigerian Federal universities in general.

1.Be ready to spend money on mean money
2.Find out if UniBen does email verification as WES always sends email verifications to schools, mine was verified via email( i still spent over 10k for that alone Unical even though it was unofficial but I needed results and fast).
3.Be certain you are using the right person.

Pet the person,be persistent with phone calls, send the person or persons recharge card and money they won't ask you for money but my dear your matter is on a longthing if you don't give theme money. You will be amazed at the magic a little 5k here and a 3k there or a 1000recharge card here and there can work.My entire WES transcript and verification cost me 48,0000 thereabout last year,The only official fee was 21000 yet the process still took 5Months Thank God I eventually found the right person.

It's crazy i know but it's the Country we live in and it's one of the reasons why we are on this thread trying to run away.I am usually more focused on turn around time and results so if gratifying will do it then do it.

Wishing you all the best,Will PM you in need your contacts for UniBen as well for a friend.

I have a challenge because UK PCC requires "Proofs of your current address - You must upload TWO different proofs of address which clearly show your name and address, and one must be dated within the last six months. Your proofs must be in separate files. Valid proofs of address include bank statements, utility bills or phone bills. You can also provide letters from your doctor, dentist, school or college if they are signed and dated on company headed paper."

I came back to Lagos permanently about 4 years ago and I do not have access to any recent account statement or any other form of identification being asked.

Please what will advice will you guys give on this issue?

Thank you.

Dammiehar:

1. Reject the ITA as the date on your ECA will be different and that would amount to misrepresentation and a 5 year ban

2. UK PCC- https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx
US PCC called FBI Identity History Summary Checks- https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks

3. Reference letters have to be from jobs you are claiming points for and the maximum points is for 3 years. So every other job can go into personal history. You will not have to provide reference for those ones, what the letter(s) should contain is on this page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp
