A former governor of Jigawa State, Saminu Turaki, has been taken into custody by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).


Turaki, in 2013, was declared wanted by a Federal High Court, sitting in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.

He is being investigated by the EFCC for allegedly mismanaging the state’s funds while in office.

It is reported that Turaki has been evading court appearance for his prosecution following which the court issued an arrest warrant.

why wont he evade court or flaunt court orders when an example has been made and nothing happened. u see, its easy to start a tread but hard to stop it. u can say u re d high and mighty but it will go down to d least office there be. once our leaders will do things and go free, let them know theyv already polluted d waters and it wil go down. a senator will also commit a crime and he will be cleared of them all and tmrw u want my own to stand, it wont go down well. thts where marginalization feeling started.
