I have asked the police if I could put her pics up on social media and they said I should wait that it will come to that if she's not found after some time.

Why are you trying to hold her hostage? She doesn't want to be there. Let her go before God punishes you.

Here's what u can try - put him in a sitting position and then put his favourite toy(s) a little bit far from him but where his eyes can see. Then start calling his attention to it..
Watch out for his reaction...he may most likely make an attempt to lunge forward and get it...
Pls do this on a big bed cos he may fall face flat while trying, so he doesn't get injured.

Take it easy mama, Na slow n steady with practice, he'll get there soon.

All ya worried mama, i got this from baby center. My lo will soon clock 8 months and isn't crawling but can roll for africa and shift with his bum from one end of a big mat to another. It doesn't worry me one bit. Your baby will achieve the milestone very soon so put ya mind at rest.

When do babies start crawling?

Most babies learn to crawl between the ages of 7 months and 10 months. Your baby may opt for another method of locomotion around this time, though – like bottom shuffling (scooting around on her bottom, using a hand behind and a foot in front to propel herself), slithering on her stomach, or rolling across the room.

Don't worry about her style – it's getting mobile that's important, no matter how your baby does it. Some babies don't crawl and move directly to pulling up, standing, cruising (furniture walking), and walking.

@ roseval, my dd is 7 months too.
I started doing all the stuff i typed previously when I noticed that if i keep something within her line of sight, she will be trying to lunge forward as if she wants to go and take it. Also when I lie her on her tommy, she raises her head well as if she wants to move.
Then I knew it was time to start encouraging her.
My lil sis bought her a pack of colourful rattles, and that's what I use when we r playing. The color and sound of the rattles excites her so she tries to crawl n get it herself.

pls o don't be discouraged if he doesn't respond, with time he'll get the hang of it.

Crawling, standing and walking are not very easy milestones to achieve, so it may take a while for them to get there

p.s - I'm a first time mum too, so my methods are subject to scrutiny by other experienced mamas grin grin wink

Sorry dear. This could mean that Baby isn't latching properly. Ensure the areola enters his mouth when he latches.
Try Lanolin n.ipple cream. You can check for it on everymum.com.

Or
Apply breast milk on it and air it.

Or
Apply plenty blueseal Vaseline on it like mama Beyedew has mentioned. But please wash off before feeding baby with it.

Or
Buy n.ipple shield. This thing saved me back then

Or
Express and let someone else feed him while your n.ipple heals

d last option and fomular feeding is wat am using til my nipple heals. i cant com and faint. tanks for the suggestions

Be patient dearie, baby will reach the crawling milestone at his own pace. Soon he will start crawling and you go shout tire. I personally dont bother my head as regards milestones as each child is unique and different. Mine just started crawling last week, they will be 8 months tomorrow.

NB; Enjoy this phase now because when he starts crawling, the shouting is real. The shouting I have done in the last one week, I don't think I have done it in my life so far. I can't even bath in peace as they are always coming to meet me in the bathroom.

Its for cough o.

Just silver bird does d cattarh 4 me.
Put near her nostrils. Say a drop on bib or pillow let her breath it in. Then suck out d mucor.
Or do steam inhalation... then suck. It works faster.
You and baby should stay covered while hubby helps with the covering n moving or removing d hot water bucket....

Pele dear.
She will be fine.
Also ensure u wear her 3ce clothing...... keep her very warm.
Cover her head too....

My son is 6 months and he pushes himself forward as if he wants to crawl but would just remain in the lying position and be wriggling. Lol
Don't worry, let him be. All babies are different. Some babies don't crawl. He will reach the milestones at his own pace.

Abeg, na God name I take dey beg.
Please stop the antibiotics.
The strong ones make my girl stool.
Any small tin, these doctors will write antibiotics.
It is not good for the immune system.
Consistent ingestion of antibiotics kills a person's immune system.

I suggest that next time you visit the hospital, raise this concern to them, that you are tired of giving antibiotics.
They should give you a reliable cough medicine.

My DD was coughing last week. Not soooo serious, I bought Piriton, that shikini bottle was 1k angry
But it was worth it. I only gave her once a day as against the 3ce a day instruction because I am not a fan of pumping children with medicine.
and it was effective.
Coughing is minimal now. very minimal.

I believe this will pass.

Also, do you know that when you wear children all those plenty layer of clothing and they begin to sweat, if the sweat dries on their body, that is another avenue for cold to also enter their body.

I suggest you monitor the sweats. Clean his body with hot water before changing if his clothes gets soaked up or skin becomes too wet.

Our able sabi mamas here will still help proffer more workable solutions.

Do u have rug in ur house?
Heavy curtains?
Use AC? Fan? - you need to have them cleaned esp AC vent.
When does he cough more?

My girl can cough 4 Africa. Until i knew through d doctors that dust is the trigger... then cleaned. Removed rug. Painted... wash wash wash.... light curtain.

Then sh3 started again buy not like b4 and we realised every milestone/teeth is cough first...

Palm oil n Sugar
1 cube st luios sugar
And sizeable palm oil.
Crush the sugar in d palm oil in a small cup.
Give him a spoon(tsp) every 2 hours or as soon as the cough is coming....

Another i do is Ori n a pinch of salt.
Melt ori n d pinch of salt in a metal spoon.
That is put d spoon over fire.
Then pour the melted oil n salt into a plastic spoon and blow till cool. U can use ur finger to checkbor ur tongue.... then give ur baby.
Let him swallow it.
Its relieve is instant. Give as often as needed.
Then find d root cause of the cough...
It could even be perfume...or powder.
Just watch closely.

I noticed a lot of mamas complaining about their kids having persistent cough. Please if your kid is given antibiotics the first time and it does not go do not administer again until a proper diagnosis is in place . My first son was always coughing right from when he was about 6 weeks old. His cough will be with vomiting and after a while you will notice him struggling to breath. We kept going to hospital and being given antibiotics and this episodes were going on like every 3 months. We eventually found out that he had issues with his airway and colds or catarh triggers his coughing and causes all the other issues. We had to get a nebulizer(it's like a steam inhaler) and now once he starts sniffing he uses his meds via the nebulizer . He has stopped taking antibiotics as that was the wrong treatment .
