If you diction and accents are pure, you may try PTE-A, will be faster than remarking( listening is highly objective, so I doubt if you will get a kick up on listening plus it will take close to 6 weeks for your results to come back).
Whatever sha, if you're not in a haste, you may try it, but I sincerely doubt you'll get a bump up in listening ( sorry if I sound pessimistic, just trying to be factual).

Well, i strongly recommend you try the test again. This time, practice long enough . Listening NA akara for IELTS.. I uploaded some links here sometime. You may wanna try em too.

In my opinion. If they want to copy Canada style. that means cutoff will change ever round and whoever meets cutoff will receive ITA.

@emedy, there's nothing impossible about your case. You need to do skill assessment like everyone else here. Read all the relevant information and you will be good. You don't need to give up cos of the registrations, I've checked retail pharmacist and you have good chance as it's been sponsored by some states. From my opinion, it's easier getting invitation for occupations restricted to stsol list.

If you want to go for PTE, it is always advisable to prepare and write the exam on ptepractice.com to know your ability instead of wasting 52k. The real PTE Academic test is set and scored by pearson and you will see where your lapses are. You can check the site. But i have 4 Gold Test Preparation Kit which has SAMPLE QUESTIONS & 2 SCORED PRACTICE TESTS. So you can write the test two times, know your weekness and prepare more before writing the pte exam. Yes its #7,500. Its sold for $59$ on there site. You can read more about it on www.ptepractice.com. Its an exam set and marked by pearson but material to read.
