You're actually wrong on this. Wikipedia is not admissible as academic reference in any reputable institution. In UK universities, it's one of the first things you're informed of during orientation/induction. This is because Wiki is an editable source, and I'm sure you've come across articles on the site stating citations are needed for some statements. As such while it's okay for base level reference, it's not a reliable or admissible form of academic reference. This is not disputing your counter claims on Murtala Muhammed. kstix: |

attackgat:I agree.. Dude it is a sad state of affairs with nigeria.. as a people we give titles to criminal politicians instead of jail sentences. GeJ was failure in many regards yet some Nigerians celebrate him.. buhari an even bigger mess and bigot creating division in nigeria and he is a hero to many.. nigeria had a long road to go beforeany positive change in mindset happens.. |

misterawo: That is also true. The worshippers were dragged out one by one and gunned down. Only one woman who lay under the dead bodies with gun shot wounds but managed to crawl away later and escaped to find help lived to tell the tale. I didn't mention this episode because it falls under the war crimes of Murtala which I already mentioned an example of in Asaba. This is the same man celebrated on the N20 note. |

QuotaSystem:He was quick to quote his university for me and called me ignorant trying to advise him on this same thing, i only had to show him how easy it was to edit any write up. sadly enough this is gradually becoming the norm in our school system nowadays. Have marked academic works recently and it's just very appalling to say the least. 1 Like |

I resurrected my old thread because another crime of the mass murderer called Murtala Mohemmed has come to my attention. In a recent interview, General Akinrinade rtd revealed that Murtala Mohammed, as GOC of the second division, ordered the summary execution of all Biafran prisoners of war his division captured, which is a war crime according to the Geneva convention. Lt Isola also testified that Murtala Mohammed did order summmary executions. Nobody will ever know how many people Murtala Mohammed killed but he will always be a disgrace to all decent people for being a mass muderer and psychopatic killer |

attackgat: This anger and hatred will kill all your generations. When your foolish leader Emeka Ojukwu declared a senseless war, were you fools expecting the Nigeria Army to come and start giving you fools hugs and kisses at the war front? Oh! the Nigeria Army actually did, the Nigeria Army hugged, romanced and fuccked your worthless women, ladies and girls and slaughtered your useless coward men. If you start another useless war the Nigeria Army is ever ready to repeat the 1967 to 1970 feat. |

lilytender: Thats the Nigerian mentality that Im talking about. Because you cannot defend the mass-muderer called Murtala Mohammed, you started talking about Ojukwu who has nothing to to with this topic. |

attackgat: Only in Nigeria where such an irrelevant dude could amount to anything. If not for his uncle and nepotistic endeavor, which saw most soldiers from northern region of Nigeria as army officers, the jackass called Murtala Mohammed would not have worn army uniform of officer's cadre. It is laughable to read the dude was a military tactician. He was a mere signal officer and could not have recognized a tactical manual if left on his table. After the military blunder only fool could have committed, he want on "AWOL" abandoning his troops. He was arrested in Kano and marched back to army headquarter in Lagos by Col A. Ochefu who was the provost Marshall at the time. Gowon lamented why he failed to dismiss the joker from the army when such opportunity presented itself. Murtala Mohammed was still allowed in the army after such ugly episode due to pressure from northern elites. |
