femooshad:The 40% is just restricted to SHELL... Rivers state is the treasure base of the nation and it contributes more than 60% of the nation revenue. Are you trying to say Lagos or Ogun state contributes to the nation revenue ![]() Lagos state annual revenue can be obtained in rivers state in one week if everybody is allowed to control its resources and pay tax to the federal govt. Don't be deceived by those saying Lagos is Nigeria economic blossom... Without Lagos, Nigeria will survive full time... seaport in other state will be made active... But without Rivers state, Nigeria is in a long run.. River state revenue is been distributed as a national cake every month to all the states. |

naturalman:I told you Umuahia is light years ahead of Yenagoa for instance. Abeokuta, Akure, Asaba... They're all ahead of Yenagoa in terms of infrastructural development and aesthetic ambience. These are places I've been to, so it is an informed opinion. |

PreyingMantis:Umuahia is just another aba....but possesses some level of cleanliness... Umuahia is too congested and lack some basic amenities, like flyovers, dualized roads, beautiful hotels as to compare with yenagoa. A bit of traveling will make you understand better.. Akure from the list is ahead of yenagoa... Asaba is another Onitsha in making....rowdiness is their birth mark |

naturalman:Umuahia is one of the few planned cities in Nigeria with an excellent drainage system and good road network. It is a small town that's why most of the roads aren't dualized. The issue of flyover doesn't arise. Flyovers aren't decorations, they're built because they're needed to ease traffic congestion at a strategic interchange. Such an arrangement doesn't fit into Umuahia town. Umuahia isn't rowdy. The only rowdy spot in Umuahia is GATE. By the way I believe I'm more travelled around Nigeria than you are. Yenagoa has better hotels, true but that's all. There's no planning and the structures there are below par. Most of the residential houses are nothing to write home about. You can hardly see two/three storey buildings in Yenagoa. |

atorioke:Sapele road,Ekenwan road,Airport road,Oko Central,Ugbowo,Akpapkpava,Mission road,Upper Mission,Ugbor,GRA.These places are the best places for residential and corporate business. They are not really beautiful. They are just okay, but Governor Obaseki and world bank are keeping their hands busy to make Benin neat, attractive and beautiful. |

Fifthcolumnist:@bolded is not the definition of industrialization.. So, because Refinery is in Saudi Arabia, it's is more industrialized than Seoul? So, New York is more economical vibrant than Seoul means it's more industrialized than Seoul?. Oga, check the meaning of industrialization for dictionary.. What is 'Industrialization' Industrialization is the process by which an economy is transformed from primarily agricultural to one based on the manufacturing of goods. Individual manual labor is often replaced by mechanized mass production, and craftsmen are replaced by assembly lines.. https://www.google.com.ng/url?url=http://www.investopedia.com/terms/i/industrialization.asp&rct=j&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwi2mbWs4vrUAhWNbFAKHaRhCIUQFggvMAI&q=industrialization&usg=AFQjCNFnZQRxCHeax0HqOx9x7aaM5p5yDQ https://www.google.com.ng/url?url=https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrialisation&rct=j&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwi2mbWs4vrUAhWNbFAKHaRhCIUQFggnMAE&q=industrialization&usg=AFQjCNE3w_3OV8uEM8uhJXc-m-3P1Et9HQ Industrialisation or industrialization is the period of social and economic change that transforms a human group from an agrarian society into an industrial one, involving the extensive re-organisation of an economy for the purpose of manufacturing. As industrial workers' incomes rise, markets for consumer goods and services of all kinds tend to expand and provide a further stimulus to industrial investment and economic growth. https://www.google.com.ng/url?url=https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrialisation&rct=j&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwi2mbWs4vrUAhWNbFAKHaRhCIUQFggnMAE&q=industrialization&usg=AFQjCNE3w_3OV8uEM8uhJXc-m-3P1Et9HQ As I said the numbers of industries overweight the magnitude of one big industry as industrialization is concerned. |
