He said this in an interview with Punch on Sunday, adding that, “no matter our differences, we have become united in our diversity. It is only natural for issues of disagreement to come up from time to time.” He said those calling for Nigeria’s break up like Nnamdi Kanu, are being sponsored by “irresponsible political elite, who do not understand the realities of our times.” “What I see that Nnamdi Kanu and his Igbo ilk are doing is to blackmail Nigeria into submitting the presidency to them. The question I will ask them is: Can you have this presidency by blackmail?” He adds. On where the Middle Belt will go, in case Nigeria breaks up, he said, “I’ll say Jerry Gana is a bigot. He is not a nationalist. I think he’s only a stooge for some big men in Nigeria who are self-serving. Gana can’t say he’s speaking for the Middle Belt. He is on his own. I know for a fact that this is a lie. The average man on the streets of the south east are not interested in the presidency of Nigeria. They want out. But then again, one won't easily forget how the yoruba race cried for so long using nadeco and others to the extent that by the time we returned to democracy in 1999 the whole nation and even the military felt they should be given that chance which saw the two main parties then produce their presidential candidates from the yoruba race. While PDP fielded Olusegun Obasanjo, APP/AD alliance fielded Olu Falae. So if the political elite capitalizes on the biafra agitation to push for a presidency of south east, it won't be the first time. And how can an arewa man like this bigot call Jerry Gana a bigot for saying that the middle belt will not go with the core north. He even ended by speaking boldly that the middle belt will go with them if Nigeria splits. In other words Jerry Gana who is from the middle belt is not qualified to speak the mind of middle belt but he,an arewa man is. ridbay:Why do Arewa think Presidency could stop the people's determination for freedom to live as decent free citizens? In the past,Igbo Presidency could have resolved the issue of marginalization, but today, it is waaay too late. We don't want Nigerian presidency we want our freedom to rule ourselves and manage our own affairs. We are not interested in ruling Fulanis nor oppressing them they way they did to us. Igbos and other Biafrans are determined to be free from internal colonization and slavery and it will happen soon. Although Biafrans have asked for a peaceful referendum as every decent people, Fulanis have promised war in place of referendum for Biafrans. By the way, Arewa can bring the war on if they think all those youths they see aren't prepared to fight them. The duty of IPOB worldwide is to continue aggressive fund raising to make sure they provide them the means should it become necessary. They already know, it will probably be needed. 1 Like |
