It seems like if a Russian wanted to meet with the Trump campaign with damaging info on the Clinton campaign, the first thing Trump, Jr. should have done was to go to the FBI. Also, it might be helpful if you admit to the real reason for the meeting up front and not say it was just about adoption.

So it is not surprising Trump has a very cordial relationship with Russia and Putin's meddling in the election. They have been on the same team for a while now.
