You had agreed you ask Mary-in other words you pray to Mary, asking her for directions, for which saint.
Most believers in Christ ask the Lord directly for Him to pray for them-Why not ask the Lord to pray for you-listen to what the lord say's in
{John 17:20-21} I am not asking on behalf of them alone-but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me, through their message, that all of them may be one, as you, Father, are in Me, and I am, in You, may they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that you sent Me.
This is the prayer you should be asking from the Lord, Jesus pray's for our faith.
Mary nor the saints can not do, what Jesus can do.

This is your problem-and this is where you go wrong in learning the scriptures yourself, you would rather ask the priest to give you all the answers.
This is why the bible was written-when we need the answers-we pray to God for the answers needed.
Priest and pastors can be wrong-but the bible can never be wrong-the bible is God's Word.
