How true is the saying?
I attended a pharmacy induction ceremony yesterday at the university of Jos where the executive secretary of the west African post graduate college of pharmacist and professor of toxicology prof. Noel Wannang made the assertion that the worst pharmacy student is better than the best elsewhere. His reason being that in the training of pharmacist, the pass mark required for student pharmacists is 50% and in some other courses 60% is required as the benchmark. Though the B.pharm degree is not classified the minimum required for graduation and pre registration is a second class lower degree.
This should be a bogus assertion i guess or nairalanders what's your take on this?

Pharmacy and DVM are the worse courses to study. Why Because you finish and hustle in the labour market like every other graduate out there.

The passing mark for each course for a pilot is 75%, 74.5 is a fail. If u fail any course more than 3 times, u are to start all over again, including the ones you have passed before. Technically speaking, all pilots are first class graduates.

Now are u sure pharmacy is still the next best thing after slice bread?

No be only. Engineering is more difficult than pharmacy, Especially Mechanical, Chemical and Civil. The only courses more difficult than any engineering course are Law and Medicine. Every other course de learn.

Apart from Medicine, Engineering is another difficult course. Every semester work is loaded

_wat a big deal of foolishness! _hu cannot la cramme n la pour n get 80% in any field! _your selling point is nothing but your level of intelligence! _Brilliant students end becoming famous architects of great results but would never acquire the breathtaking achievement of an enthusiastic intellectual person!

Nd moreover; he said it in a ceremony! ... It is quite normal for such a situation! _that statement was just to boost their morale n not to look down on themselves for getting a poor result!

_ so looking at it in both direction the speaker deserves to be shot _with prompt mercy! ...it is not his fault ...he was trying to encourage the poor graded students!

Wow..madam are you sure you know what you are talking about?

Pharmacists hustle for job because there are so many options to choose from.
If I am to advice anyone on a health course to study, pharmacy will be top on the list.
They have options and hospital is the least of their choice for most pharmacists. They have community pharmacy, industrial pharmacy and various NGO jobs to choose from. There are no jobless pharmacists unless the person decides to give himself a break from work.

if ha hear... go to department of mathematics, statistics, physics and electronics. go do courses ull be asked to prove 1+1=2 with 3 pages of higher education note

very soon Pharmacy as a course of study will be extinct because Robots with the latest advance in artificial intelligence will soon make the job of a pharmacist quite useless...on second thought, I believe the worst Pharmacy student is the student of Pharmacy that never graduated and I believe a drop-out is much worse than the best graduating student in a field as less inviting as Philosophy or Yoruba...the labour market will agree very much with me particularly in this recession!

If we go by this reasoning, doctors will soon become useless too since we can now google our symptoms and get a diagnosis. The only thing that doctors will be left with will be surgery. Right?

Technology is here to complement our work, they can not fully take over the job because there is need for accountability and human feeling in doing things like medicine and pharmacy.

The Worst Pharmacy student Is Better Than The Best In Any Other Faculty..this kind of thinking is the reason why you'll go to America or UK for ur masters and look lyk you've never passed through school.
