I didn't read the comment, so I don't know if she was talking about 'bad choice' as it affects her (what's her business?) or society or the child. But, so long as a choice has not put you in contravention of the law, I don't think any person can judge the merit of your personal choices for you. They're not you, and will never know your priorities and how you make trade-offs for your personal peace of mind and happiness. It's presumptive. Only you can tell if a choice you've made hasn't favored you in the prevailing context, because only you know the alternatives that were available to you in that moment.

Personally, I don't think it's the worst thing in the world. Some single parents can provide a healthier environment for children than some couples who disrespect each other and fight everyday. It's better to have a child fantasize over a model dad figure, than to clear his doubts with an abusive drunkard. So, while it's best to have a home where both parents are in harmony, deciding to raise a child alone if you're emotionally up to it is not a bad idea.

And for the record, I doubt any mother would look at her child and say she made a bad decision to have and raise that child. Even if she had that child at fourteen. Seeing your grown child makes everything worth it in the end.

I wasn't expecting you to personalize your response this much...Anyway I just wanted to know if single mums can look back and say there was a better guy, I chose the wrong one. Yea the reward can be bliss and rewarding, in the grown up child. But would the outcome have been different if it was the other guy i left behind ...this is the core I was hoping you'd address...But being a female and a rep of your sis...I'm sure you're going to downplay the response sha..It's all good...How have you been?
