Ignore that punk. This thread has become a source of perpetual and excrutiating pain to he and his ilk since its inception. He's just venting his frustration. I would probably feel the exact same way too if I were a bitter igbo flatthead viewing this thread, therefore I can understand and feel his pain. It can't be easy being igbo and viewing all this awesomeness from Yoruba sons and daughters. E no fit easy my brother. cheesy

post all your details of your department/admission number and your location, with your past scores. you may see someone to give you scholarship through here. i.e if you are not a fraudster. you cannot request help from people by not showing your genuineness.

Yoruba are great and have humans feeling. we always love to help each other to grow.that's the spirit of a Yoruba person.

hope this is not another Yoruba boy trying to copy those igbo fraudster? if your intention is not pure, believe me you will get arrested in couple of days, is better to stop derail well thoughtful thread.

You may not know numbers of highly place fellow that's following this thread. dont think of defrauding people through here or become a corporate beggar which yoruba are not knowing for. be a good representative of Yoruba race.
God will be with you if you truly need help

i believed the alleged account number name you posted is Mayowa Olusanjo Afolabi. you will need to proof to people that you are actually in OAU and you are facing your study with total commitment to your education, not that you are one of the yahoo boy.
Excuse me,how do I seems to defraud people?
How, let me understand.
Seriously,I don't seems to understand you here.
If a person doesn't post his name or details, what audacity have you got to do so?
Is posting another person's name a form of confirmation or ridicule?
If you can't help, why deter others?
I don't direct my solicitions to you.
Oh....I hope you can edit your post and don't ridicule a fellow by that name.
Well,it's not your fault.
We have different ethic of approaching things.
I hope you can edit your post.
BTW:
Can you tell us how this Mayowa Olusanjo Afolabi had been to you.
In as much you are a fellow medical student.
Is he a yahoo person?
Or better put how come you know he is a medical student?
Please,if you can't help, better you hold it there. It's not your fault, I will repeat. You can call me a beggar if you so wish.
It's not your fault.
But one thing is sure, I believe GOD to make me overcome this trying period, and someday help the world in my capacity too.
How? I don't know.
But am much optimistic my GOD that I serve, won't let me down.

Famfa Limited was incorporated in September 1991. Famfa Limited was awarded the leasehold rights to OPL 216 on August 10, 1993. In February 1996, the name was changed to Famfa Oil Limited with the vision to be the leading indigenous oil and gas exploration and production company in Nigeria.
Famfa Oil Limited is currently one of the largest indigenous Nigerian owned exporters of crude oil in Nigeria. Famfa Oil is committed to developing one of the deepest and largest offshsore discoveries in the gulf. The Agbami field has been operating since 2008 and will be operating through till 2024 when the majority of its vast reserves would have been extracted.

Chief (Mrs.) Oyenike Monica Okundaye
Thanks a lot for this post. It is such an inspiration. This woman Oyenike Monica Okundaye literally put Adire (the Nigerian tie-and-dye batik fabric) on the world map of the fashion industry. She is from Ogidi in Kogi state.

She had no formal education because she dropped out of school, after she lost her parents. She was only given an informal type of training, in the form of weaving, dyeing and fabric design. Today, the batik artiste has lectured students at Harvard University, and has held workshops in several foreign universities, from Columbus to Edmonton, Ohio in the United States. Not bad for a lady without a first degree.

Her works have been patronised by former American presidents such as George Bush and Bill Clinton. Providence has been kind to this hardworking lady. May divine Providence favour us all....

1. In 1974, Nike was one of the ten African artists who toured and taught arts in various crafts institutions in the USA. These tours were sponsored by USIS, Lagos. These trips took Nike to the fifty (50) states of America including the ice region of Alaska and the Virgin Islands of America conducting workshops and delivering lectures in schools and community centers.

2. In 1981, Nike’s work won the first prize during the SOUTH WEST ARTS FESTIVAL in Washington DC. USA. And she was awarded many prizes of honor at the end of the festival.

3. In 1983, The Nigeria Arts Council, Lagos sponsored Nike to represent Nigeria at a workshop held at the Museum of Natural History, New York, USA. During which period, her works attracted many arts collectors.

4. In 1985, Nike was one of the six women artists who exhibited at the African Heritage Kenya during the World Women Conference held in Nairobi. The UN sponsored her trip to that conference.

5. In 1986, Nike was the only Nigeria woman who represented Nigeria in an exhibition featuring African women artists held at the African Centre, London. That exhibition was sponsored by AKINA MAMA WA AFRICA, London.....

40. In January 2007, the government of United States of America selected Nike and sponsored her trip to Cape Town, South Africa to participate as a facilitator/panelist at the world conference of “Vital Voices Pan-African Leadership Summit & Initiative for Women and Girls”. At that conference, Nike presented a paper “Art, Activism and Women Empowerment” in Nigeria which caught the hearts of her audience at the conference. This paper was posted at her web site for six months from January to July 2007.

41. In March 2007, Nike was invited by the University of South Florida, Tampa to conduct workshops and lectures at the department of women studies and art history, on batik and traditional African textile (Adire).

42. In April 2007, Nike was invited by Harvard University, Cambridge to conduct workshops and lectures on batik and technique of Adire textile processing and African dyeing techniques.

43. In 2008, Nike was invited by University of Alberta, Edmonton Canada to conduct workshops and lectures on African batik and the technique of Adire textile processing and African dyeing methods.

44. In August 2009, Nike was once again invited by the promoters of “Afrikadey” annual festival of Calgary, Canada to exhibit her works and conduct workshops on Adire processing during the six days festival. http://www.thecapital.ng/?p=3204

Movie Industry

At this point, I hope I've been able to clarify who the real pioneers of Nollywood are. Fast forward to 2017, we still have potopoto slaves claiming they actually "own" Nollywood. Let's go through the list of highest-grossing Nigerian films

1. The Wedding Party - 453 million naira - Produced by Mosunmola Abudu and Directed by Kemi Adetiba

2. A Trip To Jamaica - 178.5 million naira - Produced by Ayo Makun

3. 30 Days In Atlanta - 137.2 million naira - Produced by Ayo Makun

4. Fifty - 94 million naira - Produced by Mosunmola Abudu (EbonyLife TV) and Directed by Biyi Bandele

5. Half Of A Yellow Sun - 60 million naira - Directed by Biyi Bandele

6. October 1 - 60 million naira - Produced and Directed by Kunle Afolayan

7. The CEO - 60 million naira - Produced and Directed by Kunle Afolayan

8. 93 Days -50.5 million naira - Produced by Bolanle Austin Peters

9. The Return Of Jenifa - 35 million naira - Produced by Funke Akindele and Directed by Muhydeen S. Ayinde

10. The Figurine - 30 million naira - Produced and Directed by Kunle Afolayan

11. Weekend Getaway - 22.8 million naira - Directed by Desmond Oluwashola Elliot

12. Phone Swap - 20.7 million - Produced and Directed by Kunle Afolayan

13. The Visit - 14 million naira - Directed by Olufunke Fafoyin

14. Dazzling Mirage - 13 million naira - Produced and Directed by Tunde Kelani

15. Maami - 11.9 million naira - Produced and Directed by Tunde Kelani

16. In The Cupboard - 10.5 million naira - Produced and Directed by Desmond Oluwashola Elliot

17. Married But Living Single - 9.9 million naira - Directed by Tunde Olaoye

18. Out Of Luck - 9 million naira - Directed by Niki Akinmolayan

19.Gone Too Far - 8.5 million naira - A film by Bola Agbaje

20. Irapada - 5 million naira - Produced and Directed by Kunle Afolayan

Note : The domestic gross of the movies above were produced by wikipedia.org, at no point in the post did I attempt to tamper with the records nor round any number up. Also, it's important to understand that the figures above were not adjusted by inflation. Every domestic gross stated above is the same as the number value which gives a glib and superficial analysis. For example, Kunle Afolayan's Irapada which generated 5 million naira in 2006 would have generated folds if it were to be released in 2017.

We don't need to make noise with these people, they're nerdy white boys trying to get into a dick-measuring contest with a Mandingo grin

Omoluabi ju won lo cheesy

Here I was actually liking their Half of a Yellow Sun movie only because of it's stunning cinematography. Only to now find out that the director was actually Yoruba. Of course, how could I have been so blind.

God has blessed there Yorubas, may he continue to do so.

Olajide Rosiji is a man with his fingers in many pies. And like the proverbial Greek god 'Midas', almost everything he touches, turns to gold. He was born in Ibadan and studied Zoology at University of Ibadan, before going on to study accountancy at Kilburn Polytechnic, in England. His late father was Chief Ayo Rosiji, the former Minister of Health, in the first republic. Even though he came from a prominent family, Ola still worked hard, to achieve success in the corporate sector.

Olajide Rosiji cut his teeth at Nigerian Distilleries Limited (NDL), one of the oldest firms in the country. He worked through the ranks, and rose to become the Managing Director, before moving on to establish other subsidiary firms. NDL started business on the 6th of March 1961 with 100% Nigerian ownership.

It is currently the largest wine and spirits producing company in Nigeria, manufacturing and marketing 14 different brands of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in 35 different pack sizes, with over 1,000 employees. Under Ola Rosiji's leadership, the company started producing 10 million litres of beverages per year, with distribution outlets spread across the country. Some of its' well known products include Calypso Coconut liqueur, Dark Sailor Rum, Seaman's Aromatic Schnapps, Swagga, Regal Gin, Lord’s Dry Gin, Bacchus Tonic Wine etc.

As the years went by, other allied companies were set up in a bid to diversify the corporate base of the firm, and bring in additional business. Supreme Distilleries, Grand Oak Limited, Lexcel Packaging, Allied Atlantic Distilleries Limited (AADL), Lexcel tech and Green Fuels Limited were set up, in conjunction with some Asian businessmen. Today, all the firms operate under the umbrella of the Lexcel Group, which has become a pan-African conglomerate, with Olajide Rosiji as its' Chairman.

One of the companies Allied Atlantic Distilleries Limited (AADL) made history under his watch, when the company produced ethanol from cassava at its' Igbesa factory in Ogun State. It currently produces nine million litres of ethanol, from a local raw material to meet world standards.

Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has commended Allied Atlantic Distilleries Limited (AADL), an ethanol manufacturing plant for making farming attractive in Ogun and Oyo states by hiring 8,000 cassava farmers for its operations.

Mr. Ola Rosiji, Chairman, AADL, said the company currently engages over 8,000 farmers in Ogun and Oyo states, providing indirect employment to more than 40,000 people.” According to him, AADL had earlier expanded its farm support services to farmers through the provision of agronomy package practices, improved variety, seed planting, mechanization and harvesting support.

“It is the first of its kind in Nigeria and indeed the whole of Africa. It will produce cassava-based Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA), otherwise known as ethanol, as it will also supply raw material to distillers, pharmaceutical and other related industries.

In addition to the ethanol plant, AADL will produce carbon dioxide (CO2) for use in various industries including the soft drinks Industry.

“Having pioneered the development of technology and know-how, and having proven that cassava can be used to economically produce ENA of international quality standard, we are already in the process of developing other projects which will be located in the cassava production area such as starch, glue and glucose factories.

Our aim is to reduce dependence on imported ENA with the resultant saving in foreign exchange, production of jobs in the industrial sector and improving the farmer’s income,” he said. Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/02/ethanol-firm-commended-engaging-8000-cassava-farmers/

You this Obiano houseboy, why are you so dumb? When will you quit acting a fool? You couldn't even coherently disprove its ownership. A building goes by the name 'Adunola (a Yoruba name) House', yet you are here trying to contest its ownership without any shred of concrete evidence to the contrary? It's not 'Okeke House', neither is it 'Obiano or 'Okorocha House', but Adunola House. I know that in your typical fashion you must have done some digging in an attempt to disprove its owner's Yoruba affiliation but you were disappointed, only to come here to embarrass yourself , talking about some fictitious collabo with Pieach Ltd which happens to be the architect of the edifice. When will you ever receive sense you this foolish boy? You are a disgrace to yourself and the igbo ethnicity you represent.
