Be doing yourself.....Lukaku has proven himself let's wait & sew
samilo88:
Am surprised Hw people would call morata a bench warmer. The little above average Lukaku would never make a real Madrid bench no matter d price tag. I am so confident that morata would b a success. He has great foot work, nice touches and his able to link up play. Lukaku would have been a failure at Chelsea. He has a terrible first touch, always having his back to goal and very static . He can play with Mourinho fancied 4-3-3 where emphasis is on wing play nd crosses into the box. Our current system under conte requires a striker with great movement off d ball so our creative players can move into dangerous positions. Seriously we dodged a live bullet not signing Lukaku.

Sentiments, yes.. star studded, noooooooooo
Funny. You just have to know this, save you don't follow football like every other person.

Isco spent most part of the immediate past season as a sub and wasn't even handed a first team start until football commentators branded him as 'the world's best reserve'.

One of the keys to Zidane's incredible record is that he had two strong teams in his 22-man squad, save for Danilo and Kiko.

James Rodriguez, Asensio, Isco, Lucas Vasquez, Kovacic, Fabio Coentrao, Casemiro, Nacho, Mariano and Lucas Silva all suffered the same fate as Morata because the first team never disappointed on the pitch.

Should I go on to list the first eleven and then have you compare them to that of any other team in the world alongside their reserve?
Re: Chelsea Agrees To Sign Alvaro Morata by Deyvid123(m): 8:48am On Jul 20, 2017
seriously, Morata is overhyped because he plays for Real Madrid. if he had been a R. Betis player no one would be talking about him with his below average goal records.

Pedro tore defences last season including utd's.

Pedro,Azpilicueta, Fabregas, Costa all came from la liga and are performing very well.

Those are just la liga players in chelsea....check other teams.

Oh and the fastest goal utd conceded last season was scored by Pedro. Put some respeck on his name bro.

LOL where are they in the list of best players? most of them are bench warmer including Morata.. haha

So Pedro didn't perform last season undecided, and to your general question, 90% of them do perform , Faberegas, Costa, Aguero, Herrera, De Gea,Torres, Ozil, Sanchez, David silva. In fact, the best players come from La Liga

You can't have more than one or two players from your team who has more goals and assists than Pedro last season. Someone who won goal of the the month twice, or perhaps you made that statement without thinking.

OMG chelsea fans wan kill me for my mention ooo..

Morata in the last 4 Years = 40 goals.

Lukaku in the last 4 years = 105 goals.

Deal with it.
Keep your statistics the best comparison will be when the premiership kick starts where two of them are in the same league and big clubs as well.......until then deal with it.

You were comparing a player who played all the time to someone who played from the bench so why not. Morata scored more goals from the bench than Rooney, Martial and Rashford put together last season. grin grin grin

I will only mention lukaku and Morata in the same sentence when lukaku wins quater ucl. grin grin

Bro, be gracious enough to accept the correction you were given.

The statistics you are throwing around is completely wrong and misleading.

Just accept that maybe you made a mistake.

Please, what exactly do you mean by 4 calendar years ?

Alvaro Morrata joined Juventus in 2014, and scored 27 goals in his time there, scored 20 goals mostly off the bench last season.
(1.) 2014 season - (9goals)
(2.) 2014-2016 (27 goals) in Juvetus.
(3.) 2016/2017 season 20 goals.
(4.) SPANISH national team- 2014 - till date 9 goals.

9+ 27 + 20 +9 = 65 goals scored in the last 4 "CALENDAR" years.

PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!!
now I know why you haven't passed your JAMB since 2007.

I just corrected a colleague of yours in the "I too know" world that season is different from a calendar year and you re here spewing tushes.

For crying out loud, a football season is a combination of months that run in two separate years, hence the 2016/2017, 2009/2010, 2014/2015 etc. While a calendar year is just a year that runs from January-December.
2012, 2013,2014,2015,2016 etc.

You stated 2014/2015 to be 9 goals.
2015/2016 to be 27 goals.
And 2016/2017 to be 20 goals.

Good. Now go back and separate those goals in the above seasons into their respective years. How many of those goals were scored in just 2014? 2015? 2016? Do not add the ones (majority of the 20 goals scored this just concluded season for Madrid) scored in 2017.

Sum them up and be kind to come and share Ur result with us.

Attention to details, understanding the question and drinking more water should be very effective in passing your next JAMB exam.
Re: Chelsea Agrees To Sign Alvaro Morata by samsam2019: 11:36am On Jul 20, 2017
We live in a crazy world. Morata was Manchester United 1st choice

Lukaku was Chelsea's 1st choice too. But how they both went the opposite direction is funny.

Drogba talked Lukaku into joining Chelsea and the Spanish players spoke with Morata. In fact Morata dyed his hair red when he thought his transfer to Manchester United was almost done.

Funny world

Oga, i commented based on the topic. Furthermore, he won two Champs yes, the ones he had guest appearances, right?

For the "lesser teams" line, CR7 only performed against lesser teams when he was with us; Rooney and Tevez were the beasts but look at CR7 today.....i blv you know the rest, bro.. so, you shluld do your assignments well before quoting people.

Guest appearances you said? 35 appearances with ucl titles for a 24 year old who plays from the bench. He even scored against madrid when he was at juve

Are you fvcking kidding me? Ronaldo won the balon d'or and golden boot at united in 2008 bro. Please don't insult him like that again.

You practically know you are being clever by half. That is why you have come to safe face. Next time, you want to disseminate information, you will get your fact and figure. Not everyone on Nairaland as dummy as you are. However Morata scored 27 goals with Juv within his 2yr loan while he again scored 20 goals in 2016/ 2017 season ( which is 1yr) with Madrid . Invariably in the last 3 yrs he had scored 47 goals. Kiss the truth and stop dishing lies again to the public.

Mr Right. I may not be able to reply your next post. How can one person be this ignorant and steewpid at the same time?

I just told you that season is different from a calendar year and you re here talking about 2016/2017. Gosh! No wonder your teachers gave up on you.

Subtract the goals he scored in 2017 for Madrid and see what's left from Ur 47.

Mind you his 2017 calendar year goal will consist of the ones scored for both Madrid and Chelsea. Should he play any International for his country and scores, that will be counted too. That's a calendar year.

Season is a combination of years etc 2015/2016 or 2001/2002.

While .

A calendar year is just January-December.

Remember to pray too, cos wisdom is hard these days. I will be kind to remember you in my prayers too.

abeg help me add David silva for am...morata is far better has more experience than laukaku...no b beans to go juventus as a loan and break into there xi..he played in three different champions league final and he's won two...if you watch juventus vs man city u will know what I'm saying..he scores against top clubs in the champions leagues Barcelona and real Madrid...he will scores goals the only player I see standing in his way to top scorer is deadly harry kane..he's a big natch winner not lukaku scoring against westbrom and hull city..

He even scored against madrid when he was at Juve.

The only issue I have is that Epl is different. Its more physical compared to other leagues but i'm sure Morata will be fine, his Juve experience and Conte should help him adjust faster

" A calendar year can be measured by also starting on any other named day of the calendar, and end on the day before this named day in the following year.[1]"

4 calendar years from today is from : 21 JULY 2013 to 20 JULY 2017.

So Bro, stop displaying your ignorance in a public forum... Please learn and live.
Open up your mind so you can learn. Your tunnel and myopic view will do you no good.

Stop trying to muddy up the waters so you can shy away from the misinformation you have peddling around in this forum.

Bottom line, Alvaro Morrata has scored 65 goals in the past 4 years, 25 more goals than you are willing to give him credit for.

So, deal with that truth and stop sulking.

As a striker, wat matters is your goal ratio; midfielder, assist ratio. For Mikhi, he obviously had to adapt. For Aguero, he had lil issues with Pep cos d coach wanted a false 9 and Kun prefers to be a top 9. For Morata, you know the rest..

Wot u wrote is absolute bull**** . Only u said morata is not gud cos he was a bench player at real madrid( one of d best clubs in d world currently) and I named 2 gud players dat were benched last season and ur busy telling me bull**** . Besides morata had d best goal ratio in la liga last season, 15 goals from 55 shots so ur just contradicting urself...

Willian was a bench player last season but can u compare him to any attacking player at everton last season?
