We have been married 4 - 5 years with so many ups n down but by the God's grace we are gaining balance now. But my husband just got a habit of always pressing his phone, while eating, talking evening wake up at midnight just to operate phone.

This habit has limited communication, sex, in fact anything at all couples can do. He goes to office in the morning, comes back by 6 or 7 :oo but all he will do for the rest of the day is phone.

l have talked to him several times about it but no change, I don't want to suspect anything but am getting tired of this union pls advice a sister tnx.

Make him your bestfriend and you'll always come first before anything or anybody...and when you achieve that, keep the line of conmunication open.

Bring up interesting issues he like. Play with him.

It's a common scenario in many homes. I suggest you find other things to occupy your own time too at least for a while.

The attention you're paying to the matter will likely make your man more fixated on using the phone.

As harsh as it sounds keep communication basic for now! Just ignore him he will come round eventually!

Your husband is not alone. I'm more addicted than him. I don't think there's a solution other than get a non browsing phone. Deep down I know I'm addicted to phone but planning to shut down and deactivate all by September first. Discipline

My dear just leave him (in order to maintain peace and tranquility in ur home) and press your phone.
They won't tell him before he readjusts.

Madam the first thing is to complain and tell him about it, if he refuses to change, then just give him some time. From my experience, the more you seek attention from people the less attention you set from them. My wife does most of the things your husband does. And the phone has affected everything especially our sez life. The more I talk the more she stays on the phone. Very frustrating

Talk to him about it.Make him understand it's affecting your relationship.
Try to get him to do exciting things together.Watch a TV program or just sit at the dinning to eat together.
I don't want you to ignore him and do your own thing.It will further widen the gap between you

@OP, it seems like I am your husband. This is just my problem and my babe is seriously complaining about it. Sometimes she will take the phone from me and toss it aside. Being a matured man I am, I will laugh over it and romance starts because she thinks I am giving the phone more attention than her. Just use play and romance to stop it, that's all.

Your husband hasn't set his priorities straight. You, his spouse should come first before anything when he's home. If you talk about it too much it'll turn to nagging and he won't like it. Whenever you need his attention, try taking his phone from him and he'll do it on his own accord.

Sit him down and talk to him about it. Let the talk be a deep heart to heart one, let him know his addiction to his phone is making you very unhappy. It's going to be a gradual process, he's not going to drop the phone totally at once but with time it'll reduce. If he still doesn't change after all these then ignore him totally when he's on his phone by the time he notice you always bone him when he's on his phone I'm sure he'll come Around.

There's something hes doing on the phone, hes not crazy. What if he's reading news? Why not consider discussing the news with him? What if hes on an online forum like Nairaland or reddit? What section/subreddit could it be? I know onthe religion section here married men can stay up to 1 am arguing for and against the existence of God. Try to be involved with whatever he's doing that he finds so interesting if it bothers you. A busy schedule could leave him with little or no time to have fun so if he's found somethibg online that interests him thats his only refuge.

What is the hegoat doing on the phone that's more important than his wife? I am a night owl by nature but I would make sure wify and our little angel spleeps have my undivided attention till the sleep off before attending to my night scedules.

Build your sex life with him and ignore his phone addiction. It could be worse, he could be addicted to illegal drugs, women etc.
