The problem Nigerian youth entrepreneurs are facing is lack of funding for their ingenuity business ideas. Many Nigerian youths have awesome business ideas that will change Nigeria and the world, but most of these ideas die in their bedrooms due to lack of seed fund to bring the ideas to reality.

This is where Nigerian billionaires and millionaires need to invest in; angel investment....helping to fund rare and wonderful business ideas of Nigerian youths...we need a platform for that purpose.... A crowdfunding platform to pull resources together to fund viable and ingenuity business ideas of Nigerian youths...Seun you can use Nairaland to start this entrepreneurship revolution in Nigeria.

Jack Ma only brought this idea, a Japanese business man saw future in his idea and pumped in money and today, alibaba group is taking over global trade and may soon overtake Facebook and Google in income generation because they are rendering forever services.

Well thats the job of private equity and venture capital firms: to invest money in start up companies.

Also while you are at it, go and beg Emiefiele to reduce interest rates so that Nigerians can afford to take loans from banks. Current interest rates are prohibitive.

I love entrepreneurship, I am an advocate of it but pls, the least problem of entrepreneurs in Nigeria is funding. Many are just looking for money to spend. It's great, your idea is brilliant but is it needed. What problem is it solving. So many ideas are nice to have but are no need to have. People buy solutions to their problems and not nice ideas. I agree with your argument on lack of investors and accelerator programs but what start up need is not money really but a network of support

Why can't Nigeria/Nigerians emulate China?
Their Government ensured that their citizens patronize/buy Chinese this is why the country with the most millionaires is China. If not for the sense of patriotism "instilled: (albeit forcefully) on its citizens, China wouldn't be as it is today. All my Chinese friends know are Weibo and qq (not yahoo). They would never have known what Facebook was.......

Investors trooping in and out of Africa only for thier optimal gains within the exploitative capitalism and globalization system....We are living in circles where the technologically advantangous nations take-it-all at the expense of the less tech-savvy nations! Surely, only time shall tell as the 'tears' in the chick of Africa nations will soon cease!

Anyways, don't fail to contact RenMoney for as high as 4mn quick cash loan for business start-ups, expansion, school fees, personal projects e.t.c. Kindly call/whatsup Ogaga@08159385912 for 24hrs disbursement after Application. Requirements: Salary earners. Thanks.

Investors don't take Nigeria seriously because in all sincerity who would want to invest in a country with epileptic power supply, bad roads, deplorable basic infrastructures, deplorable transportation system, insecurity and a general culture of corruption? Isn't it abysmally shameful that in this time and age, Nigeria with all its oil wealth can not provide stable and reliable electricity supply for its citizens? Nigeria is a joke of a country. It's an embarrassment to Africa and the world.

Because voting for Buhari is symptomatic of the deeper issues that bedevil Nigeria.

Most Nigeria billionaires makes their money through politics/politicians , fraudulent, oppression and to the detriment of the poor so they are not recognized/valued.

I like all what you wrote but I dey laugh you because I have been in same shoes. A rich told me that my idea has not been tested so he can't invest, or better still take over whatever idea have because he is taking the risk. He also told me that the rich old elites fund the wars and the young ones fight the wars and enjoy the spoils of war. Meaning that I should work for him.
Rich Nigerians don't like you when you have good lucrative and innovative ideas especially when you don't have the means to execute the idea.
The West and Chinese think differently from us.

then let us discuss the "deeper issues" and stop flogging his name constantly... by the way, GEJ was the option... and if I have to make that choice again... it will still be BUHARI

[quote author=DaniDani post=58707540]The leadership of this country irritates. Worst still, The leadership is a reflection of the citizens. I wish we never had independence, we would have been better of.[/quote

the problems did not start at independence or because of it. 'too much' ethnic groups that do not what to agree resulted in selfish embezzlement, nepotism and now social media conflict. nairaland is one of the platforms.
the whites has always shunned this practice and their economies could testify of that.

We don't need Chinese investments but good leadership to develop ourselves...

All Chinese Companies in Nigeria like Huawei are just enslaving our people and corrupting our so called leaders the more.
