The battery capacity of a smartphone is now considered to be one of the major criteria for getting a device these days, majority due to erratic power supply.

So many top brands have realised this, hence, they have been producing mobile phones with large battery capacities that after being charged, the battery is going to last throughout 2 days or even longer. However this largely depends on usage, we do have several types of users from the rare users to the heavy users.

With a battery size like this, how long can such battery capacity last you?

at the hands of a powerful user like me, probably 8 hours or less.

Depends....if its a phone using MTK processors...say the whole day without much of gaming..and lots of browsing...MTK are known to be poor with battery performance..like tecno and the rest.....but if its snapdragon processor ...A phone of 3500 mah can go head to head with MTKphone using 5000mah

Ask anyone that has used both devices. ..my s7edge uses 3500mah and lasted more than the tecno l8 of 5000mah

Conditions:

My brightness is at its lowest i.e, I am indoors

I am not playing music.

It could be true, IP7 Plus battery is rated 2900mah and it lasted more than 15hrs. Spotify, Nairaland, coc few times , snap and IG couple of times and calls and text etc whatsapp.

It might have lasted longer probably because I'm always connected through Wifi.

My 2500 mah battery lasts for like 6 hours straight usage and it's okay for me, when I was using tecno phantom pad with 4000mah battery, it didn't last 3 hours on heavy usage, I just dumped the phone.

All this battery rating na just for fancy

It all depends how you use ur phone

I use a bbz10 with 1800mah battery the phone still runs android apps but the battery still last very well

I don't take all this battery rating serious they are just scam to deceive you

If my Infinix hot 4 can last 26 hrs on being online with just 4,000ma battery then from my estimate ur 5,000ma should last about 32 hrs

Very true. I ran this test last week..... And was also connected to a Bluetooth speaker during the test period....
