People should keep quite already, votes will be recorded but turnout will be low. Stop making it look as if no one will vote and a military administrator will be imposed. |

I really admire kanu's courage n doggedness but he needs to know that "when pride comes in as a result of success, men begin to fall from grace to grass". KANU need to be circumspect in his agitations, boycotting the anambra elections is I'll advice, one would expect him to encourage ndi anambra to stick with APGA the brain child of ojukwu n bid his time,by stroke of luck kanu's struggle has awaken tremendous conscience among Nigerians if only he would key into the restructuring desire of most deprived Nigerians, success would have been sure than never, but I'm afraid KANU is pushing his chi too far. |

I think for now Nnamdi Kanu is the power steering of over 40% Igbo descendants, he has their control in his dashboard. I pity those who are suffering from schizophrenia as results of this man, those that are psychological enslaved by this man. How will you realize Biafra when Igbo are not United? How will you deliver Biafra when you mix other tribe with igbo as part of Biafra The youngest country today is South Sudan, since the South Sudan broke they remained unsettle. There's unease going on their. The two tribes Nuer and Dimka have been in chaos and military combat. And the UN neglect them |

Let the Obi's children and family come out that day to vote. It's not about ranting. The time has passed when the elites use the youths to achieve their selfish ambition. We are wiser now Thank God for KANU. Where was Obi when the zoo army killed his armless subjects during Biafra's PEACEFUL protest in Onitsha. Did he condemn the act? .............I pity anybody who will go out that day to vote...... Lest I forget, let me go to market to buy my OFE NSALA condiments.. brb |

legislatively:It just proves saying Never Let the Truth Get in the Way of a Good Story. The constitution pretty clear what happens in this scenario. Election hold with low participation. The government has zero motivation to appoint an administrator. It's too much of a headache when they could just secure voting areas and count votes available. |

legislatively:What half truth are you talking about IPOB. As you can see if they default on first 2 election requirements they go with simple majority of electorate. Read for yourself. 1999 constitution: 179. |
| Re: Obi Of Onitsha Condemns Anambra Election Boycott, Insists Election Must Hold by legislatively: 9:32pm On Jul 27, 2017 |
Blue3k:you are having issues with comprehension, even if the election has a low turn out, according to the constitution, the candidate with majority vote (even amidst the low turnout) will carry the day, stop making this thing a biggy, there's no way some people won't vote and winners will not emerge on that day. Election will hold but with low turnout and winners will emerge |

We IPOB have made it clear that we will nolonger votes if it's not REFERENDUM. If you want to vote for continuation of enriching visionsless corrupt politicians in purposeless, uncivilized society called Nigeria. You are free to so, but, don't complain of bad governance and corruption after Nigeria fraudulent elections processes. No going back on our stands. May you live long Obi of Onitsha. But please stop collecting bribes from politicians to put words in your mouth. |

Papa u will live long for us quote author=Youngadvocate post=58856463]More kicks have been given to the planned election boycott ordered by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. New among the notables to speak against the order is the Obi Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, who dismissed the order, stating that the election must hold and no one could stop it from happening. Igwe Achebe who is also the Chairman of Anambra State Traditional Ruler’s Council made the statement when the State leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene visited him in his palace, today, Wednesday. His words: “The election is for us not for the entire country. You cannot have a referendum in one part of the country without carrying other parts of the country along and the government must support and sponsor it before it will be organized and not curving out some part of the country for the referendum. The election must hold and nobody or group of persons will stop it. Nobody should come to the state to cause unnecessary tension”. “Our people should come home to invest in industry, factory, build schools and hospitals that will be beneficial to our people. We need non partisan strong institution to create good environment for development. I commend the new Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership both at the national and state level for their efforts within six months to unite Ndigbo” Achebe stated. In his remarks, the State Ohanaeze Chairman, Chief Okeke-Ogene said they visited the traditional ruler to show respect and to carry the traditional institution along in whatever they do as custodian of culture in Igbo land. “There is nothing will do without you. If there is any case that is beyond us, we will consult you for advise and possible resolution. Obi of Onitsha is bridge between the people and the government and his throne is falling point for Ndigbo, Onitsha culture is a complete and standard that other Igbo land emulates”. He said that the group had already condemned the call by IPOB leader to boycott governorship election in the state, saying that election must hold “Nobody who fought war will like to fight again. So we should be fighting war of sense and not physical war to being Ndigbo into the main stream in the country.” http://igbobia.com/?q=obi-of-onitsha-condemns-anambra-election-boycott-by-ipob-insists-election-must-hold.html[/quote] |

Ndi Anambra will never allow such happen, Nnamdi kanu is already creating foes among his supporters, don't dare anyi ndi Omambala, we don't take crap. Kanu should shove that Biafra up his ass for now, he's angered us so much. Obi of Onitsha had spoken against him. Nri kingdom spoken against him too |

Who told him that Onitsha kingdom is a standard which other igbo towns emulate? Has he not heard that Igbos don't have Kings or that we have no regards for Kings and Monarchs. Is he not aware that other makority of Igbo towns practice Republic system of governance? Who made him a spokesman of Igbo people? He 'd better keep that his Benin acquired throne back in Onitsha. |

Yyeske:Don't bother! Igbo people have no supreme king or monarch. A central authority is an anathema in Igboland and where it exist, the kings have no influence beyond their territory. Obi of onitsha can go and take several seats,he is not the voice of igbo people. |
| Re: Obi Of Onitsha Condemns Anambra Election Boycott, Insists Election Must Hold by KemjikaEme: 10:30pm On Jul 27, 2017 |
Yyeske:Anambra or Omanbala like you've written is just a state, a geopolitical boundary created in 1991, prior that date, there was nothing like Anambra state. If majority of Igbo people in Anambra are fed up with the status quo in Nigeria and give their support to Nnamdi Kanu, who is a bonafide igbo son, there is nothing you and your obi can do about it. Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi and Imo are mere political boundaries, they are not a homogenous group. Why would a reasonable person say 'my ndi anambra will not listen to anyone from another igbo state'. Why push a mere state above a collective Igbo interest? Smh! Igbo people accepted Azikiwe, Ojukwu and Nzeogwu in the 60s regardless of their states but your foolishhness make you look down on other igbos because they are not your state. It is Ok to say you don't like Kanu and wouldn't obey him but why treat him like he is less than ndi Anambra. This is too poor! Grow up! |
