The good thing is that we are having this conversation. If we keep talking with one another positively, we can inch closer to our dream for Nigeria. Support the drive for a country of our dream.

GOD BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

Except Nigeria divide we Igbos are ready to sink the Zoo.i don't know about the Yorubas, I am ashamed of you. A fool like you should fight to see that Nigeria is restructured not coming here to talk nonsense. Your mumu never do?
iDashNaira:
rewarding children who participate in a campaign designed to bring family and country together isn't a bribe Sir. It is a reward for the best video. We are a competitive people and there is nothing wrong with rewarding good effort.
Criticism is fine but kindly walk the fine line of points you made above (respect for people's choices).

Barywhyte:
Not bribery.
Well bribery will require me to give the said money to everyone who post a video, however, reward for hard-work is giving same to a winner of a contest.

Much as I know we Nigerians like these words "bribery and corruptions", what we don't realize is that THEY (the words) limit what we can achieve as a people and country.

Our growth is stunted because each time anyone does anything progressive that you cannot relate to, you tag it the words we all have found convenient to use; whether it is rightly applicable in the context we are using it or not... Cheers.

The fact I don't share your secessionist views do not make me a fool. #MycountryisnotaZOO. I am ashamed to be associated with folks like you on a tribal note because you don't insult your father (Nigeria) to get what you want; even if you may not have been fairly treated by your father.

It is unwise to arrogate decency to the Igbo tribe while demeaning other people's values. Effectively by calling Nigeria a ZOO and agitating to leave, you are implying that you want to create another ZOO. This in itself is paradox.

That said, the problem with our country is not with name change, the problem is the way we as a people think. Sadly, you just demonstrated that you are part of the problem. Unfortunately, I had to climb down the same gutter to address you.

Here on nairaland there were a lots of gullible people!
I've been asking the secessionists, that if Nigeria is balkanised which among it's segment can secure herself from terrorism or external aggressors?
no one had answer this question!

Make video? You're obviously one those demonic enemies of men pummelling ordinary people in Nigeria. You and your cronies stole the funds for the power I should have used to charge my video camera, fuel is sold for N145 per litre, I have not eaten since yesterday, and you want me to sing? Because you rate me lower than an animal you want to give me a paltry N100k from the billions you stole for taking all the trouble to shoot a video. Singing, shooting and editing? How much do you give your olosho chick for your one minute shag with your limp peenis ? Abeg bros, keep your blood money. As you can see, you are on lone lane on this. Nigeria is a fraud. Gba be.

Before you tell People to sign the petition for a United Zoo, you should first of all find out who is proud of the Zoo?

We are over 170 million Nigerians and a few Nigerians online calling my country a zoo does not represent the voices of Nigerians.

What is obvious is that we have fundamental issues as a country that must be addressed. However because these issues exist does not make Nigeria a zoo.
Kind regards

We are calling on all Nigerians to SAY YES to a United Nigeria where our leaders are required to be more responsible. I am passionate about my country. I love Nigeria but that is not equal to being complacent.

My name is Hillary Nwaukor CEO at i-naira.com and I am standing up for my country and asking well meaning Nigerians to join the call for Unity, Fairness and Justice in Nigeria.

Click on the link and listen to my children sing the anthem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsZ-klKQdhU
They are six years old; twin boys and are members of the boys scout association. How many of us ever think about teaching our children basic need for discipline beyond copying the western world? How many of us, can still sing the anthem? What does Nigeria mean to you beyond ethnic, regional and religious narratives.

The anthem says a lot about the simple effort required to make Nigeria work. It is our collective civic duty. We must embrace the philosophy of stoicism in order to change our country for the best. Our children must inherit a better country than we met.

The "labour of our heroes past, shall never be in vain". Think about it. When something is not working, or you encounter challenges in your endeavor, you should fix it. Don't be a runner! Be part of the solution not the problem because dumping a system you believe has failed you, does not entirely mean you will not encounter same problem in a new system.

Please sign the petition to show your support for the call for a united Nigeria. https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/a-call-for-united-nigeria-based-on-fairness

GOD BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.

Op, I like your patriotism. It is just normal for every reasonable person to love and pray for his/her country. Infact the Holy Scripture admonishes us to do so.
However, it is an undeniable fact that Nigeria has irredeemably failed as a nation. Keeping it together will mean we all and our children will remain backward when compared to other people from other parts of Africa.
Have you ever asked yourself why is it that our politicians find pleasure in taking their families abroad for education, shopping, holidays, medicals, tourism etc?
These are privileges you can never dream of enjoying if you are an ordinary citizen like me.
All of them have acquired accommodations abroad with our money where they can hide and keep their family members for safety in case any "yawa gas".
And yet they come to tell you that Nigeria unity is non negotiable.
The Fulanis have turned other tribes of the same country to rams that they slaughter at will with every little or no provocation and our men in uniforms will keep deaf ears. Yet the same Nigeria security apparatus will be deployed to the fulani herdmen's aids, should those they are killing wants to retaliate. Still our unity is non negotiable.

Let us restructure this country so every federating unit will have a sense of belonging and hence, development can be facilitated; the North says No. - that Nigeria can only be restructured on their own terms. If not, then you are calling for war. Yet you are wondering who owns this country and lord over the other "supposed equal shareholders".

Only cowards die many times before their death. If we must remain together, then we must learn to respect others' disposition towards national issues that affect us all.
As for the One Nigeria you crave and solicit for, ....
Sorry, Nigeria is dead and we must all bury and let it rest in peace.

Good News.....

The funny thing about the OP is that he claims to be Igbo.

How can a sane Igbo man support the subsistence of a geographical entity that is fundamentally structured against his people? This is one question I keep asking these buffoons even offline who think they are more intelligent than IPOB.

I know bright Igbos who have lost job opportunites at federal and state level ONLY BECAUSE THEY ARE IGBO. Right before me a Provost of a medical college in one of the SW universities have looked a fellow Igbo colleague and told him, YOU CAN GET A JOB HERE BECAUSE YOUR NAME IS EBUKA AND YOU ARE IGBO.

Why do we love to deceive ourselves?

iDashNaira:
1. I put myself up to this and I believe I am morally required to take a stand. What is the difference between the word restructuring and my call for fairness and justice where all Nigerians are required to become more responsible and accountable?

2. If it gives you the satisfaction you seek to tag me as you wish, you are at liberty to do so.

However you do not have the rights to tag my country Nigeria as not worth anyone's while if you don't have any reasonable solution to the issues than unfounded allegations as to why I am doing this. NIGERIA IS WORTH MY WHILE THAT IS WHY I AM DOING THIS.

NIGERIA is not the problem, the people are the problem which includes you and I.
Please note this is a CSR Project of the brand i-naira.com which I am championing this. I am driving this conversation because this is the most important issue in our country today. The reward cash will be given to the video that gets the most likes on youtube with the #ariseOchallenge. Mostly for children to participate. The idea is derived from the need for parents to even remember their days as students while supporting their children to participate. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Whoever is behind that moniker (IDashNaira), or from whichever source these ideas are coming from, YOU ARE A BLESSING TO YOUR GENERATION AND YOUR GENERATIONS YET UNBORN! You exude so much greatness that it's difficult to contain it.
That is the Nigerian spirit... GREEN WHITE GREEN flying!

iDashNaira:
Our call is for unity, fairness and justice but you are at liberty to start the petition you pointed out. The conversation we want to drive is a conversation around what Nigeria can become if our leaders become more responsible.

Emotions are good but clarity of purpose requires one to do away with emotions and focus on the goal; UNITY. When you bring that focus to bear on the Nigerian discourse, then questions that can be asked (may include but not limited to):
1. What does Nigeria mean to we all beyond celebrating #NigerianJollofRice ?
2. What does it mean to be Nigerian beyond coming together to watch our National Soccer Team play?
3. What can inspire our sense of patriotism?
4. How have our leaders contributed to the solutions and problems?
5. What can I do for my country?

Nigeria is worth my while and time. Thank you #AriseOchallenge
I used to waste my time, energy and resources on the possibilities of a great Nigeria

Never again!!!!!!

its a waste trying to wake a dead horse.
