Fortuneteller- actually people respond to things differently during preggy. One man's meat could just be a poison to another. And what worked for you in one preggy could kill you in another. During my 1st baby, I took all took-ables, nothing happened. This one, the day I took a bite of pineapple, well, let me leave the story for another day. For CS and Postpartum belt, my hospital adviced me to start wearing the belt the next day after surgery. It actually did help me manage the pains better. It is not harmful but please get a Postpartum belt and not buying girdle that will lock up the destiny of your belly

Thanks mama. I've been in the hospital since then. It turns out that the amniotic fluid is much and the baby was lying in transverse position hence the pain. No fetal anomaly. Was placed on bed rest though.

I was expecting to deliver at 37wks coz I was just tired of carrying my weight around.when I went for and at 36wks,d doctor asked me to come wt scan result at 38wks but I was just praying to give birth b4 then coz I was having mild cramps almost every nite and my belly had dropped much earlier! at d 38wk appointment, I went for scan,d weight read 3.4 each and d sonographer said they were ready to drop. in my mind I was even telling myself that am sure I was dilating already. I got to d hospital insisted on being checked by d doctor only for him to say I had not even started! the thing pained me mehn!!!

Yes people react differently. Mine was just a slice of pineapple and I started bleeding with cramps at 21 weeks thereabout! I've never bleed before then nor afterwards so the pineapple was definitely the culprit.

Funny thing I tried inducing labor with it at full term but it did nothing! I ate so much pineapple my tongue and mouth scaled.

With that nasty experience with pineapple I dare not go near it when pregnant.

Lime, lemon, uda used in peppersoup, pottash(akaun) for abacha, isiewu and d likes should be avoided by all means too..

Actually there are no specific fruits to be avoided by ALL pregnant women. what to be avoided depends on the woman and what she reacts to.

Dr's will tell you to add lemon to water to help battle nausea and it works for some people.

Pineapple and pawpaw can be consumed in small quantities by some, although many women react to it, so I guess it's better to avoid.

I know someone who reacted to apples, pineapples, bananas and same person used mangoes to help with indigestion, consumed plenty lemons, oranges, drank zobo and ate dates.

So really take a little of available fruits and see if you react, stop. if you don't continue.

By react I mean it causes nausea not miscarriage, causing miscarriage isn't proven.

I heard it causes miscarriage in the EARLY stages of pregnancy,
Its best to just avoid it at least during 1st trimester... Prevention is better than cure..
