Now that the fear of Police and Army is gone, we are sitting on gun powder, any spark will ignite an explosion.

It can only speed up the end of Nigeria as we know it as global media houses and social media is twitting updates every other second.

Restructure the country, well the Senate has refused, now we have to face the inevitable, may be we were destined for destruction.

Gallant brothers of the rising sun, Salutations to you.

We no longer fear death, nke anyi di abu kwani ndu?

Those threatening Biafrans with war, the next war you want to start with Biafrans won't be a walk in the park even if takes 100 years, as long a Biafran lives the fight for seperation and survival with continue TILL THE VERY LAST MAN.

We want peace and a country that promotes equity which is Biafra but if you say you want to bring war, we will not run from you and sell our freedom on the altar of cowardice.

-I really despise some Nigerians for this, especially the suppose trained Police and military men, whose jobs it is to defend people's rights. Why do our people, black Africans, hate Freedom & Justice so much? This is really shameful! Black people, what is mentally wrong with you?

-We, Biafrans, never agreed to become Nigerians and have never felt like Nigerians and any sensible human being should support this cause for the people to be free. Unity by force is indeed Slavery! Let our people go.

-We have lived and survived apart until those devilish colonialists arrived and saw only black people and didn't care to note they are not same people. May Chukwu Okike help us in this our lifetime struggle for Freedom & Justice. Isee.

You said they were heavily armed, you said they were Over powered even in their heavily armed Status. But you never said anything about them being professional in that situation rather you are saying they know they won't leave their alive if they shoot. SMH
Isn't that what we want? An army that will still be professional in their conduct no matter what?

Leave them. They have forgotten we are in Nigeria. Kanu and his IPOB group seriously need to thread softly and carefully.

I got no love for the Naija security Army/police but this video will do a lot of harm to ipob's cause.

I think the army and police were wrong to block the road as they did and I also think they initiated and responsible for the escalation in the video but the IPOB man taunting the army and police to release round was bad...very bad.

The army/police can claim they were attacked. Kanu need to talk to his 'boys' to avoid confrontations like this.

What stops them just marching and singing like they were doing without engaging in verbal attacks. This video simply makes it worse for smaller groups of people. I feel someone might have have been seriously injured or killed if Kanu was not there.

I saw someone type that if the soldier had shot the guy that was provoking him to, the crowd would have dispersed in fear.

Let me tell you - from what I saw in that video, some of those guys were ready to die and shooting that gun would have been a suicidal act by the soldier

The Nigerian Military and Police have implicated themselves by bypassing and obstructing the movement of Biafrans on a peaceful rally.
Amnesty International has gotten one new evidence against them.
Illiteracy is really bad.

If the military had shot anyone there, the problem that would have erupted will see Nigeria engulfed in flames

Imagine that mumu Muslim police officer called Ali claiming NigerDelta.

Why should the Military and Police bypass and obstruct the flow of traffic

Does that justify the "shoot, shoot, shoot" taunting from the man in the video?

What's wrong is wrong. I condemn the blockage of the road by the military. I support the unrelenting, unwielding and no nonsense attitude of Kanu and IPOB by continuing on their march which in my opinion was not violent however, the attitude and verbal provocations from the man in the video was BAD. It wasn't necessary.

what is so professional about that somebody want to pass ( freedom of movement) and u are blocking the person
dey just making dis guys more popular by their anti Democratic tendencies.
Biafra nd her supporters shouldn't be celebrating this had they simply allowed them to pass in peace

you call it my Military, I am sure some of your brothers are a part of "our military" that aside. My point still remains that the military/police overtime have been known for opening fire on innocent citizens on situations as this particular. But on this particular, they acted Professionally in not doing so, that's my point.

If Kanu wasn't there and those group of Army and police met a smaller group of ipobs, it would've been a different story.

The flattie soldier in bright camo and that fat Auchi Mopol would've released some rounds on the crowd of people.

This group need to be careful. They can claim that they protesters were disturbing public peace/traffic flow and aggressive to the security team.

That IPOB man was taunting the Army and police to shoot. That wasn't proper.

I didn't see much difference between El Zazzaky group and this group.

They had no weapon and if the Nigerian Army/police had shot at them, I believe the crowd would've dispersed and nothing would've happened.

They need to be careful how they confront these mad men. Those arrested and put in jail might be killed and no one would know or even ask questions.
are you saying that IPOB members do not have the right to walk on that road? or were they standing still and blocking the road like El-Zakazi followers. Does that place look like Nigerian army barracks? what are those soldiers doing there if not to extort innocent motorists?

While it's not fair to threaten that soldier, the argument 'if the soldier shoots him now they'd start complaining' is a stupid argument. It is because we have lost sight of the roles of a soldier and how a human being ought to be treated.

When the coup happened in Turkey, the people went on the streets and tortured the soldiers. That was wrong. I saw some soldiers bleeding from so many blows and he raised up his hands to surrender. It was pitiable and unfair. But that is was it means to have a disciplined military.

The minute the soldiers and policemen blocked a free flow of traffic, every other thing that followed was their fault. It's called cause and effect. Action and reaction. You cannot blame KANU and his supporters for whatever verbal tirades they threw at those officers afterwards. It was their doing. End.
Re: Heavily Armed Police And Soldiers Overpowered By Nnamdi Kanu And His Followers by Jakumo(m):
The scenes in the above video clip depicted one EXTREMELY volatile situation, by any measure, and as many other readers have commented, URGING an armed soldier to shoot is about as suicidal and reckless an action as any human being could embark upon. That agitated individual screaming at the soldier to open fire will never fathom just how close he came, to being blown asunder in the blink of an eye.

When tensions are high, and soldiers are drafted, it only takes the smallest of sparks to ignite a MAJOR conflagration during which full-auto fire can erupt and take lives by the score.

Once that first shot is fired, the die is cast, and the troops will fall back on their training by shooting any non-uniformed human beings that stand within range of their rifles and grenades.

Kanu is brave, very brave indeed, but he needs to keep the end game firmly in mind, so as to choose his battles with extreme caution, and ONLY after intense deliberation with his senior advisers.

It is an absolute miracle that cooler heads prevailed among the troops and policemen drafted to the scene, and for that sorely tested restraint, every one of them is to be highly commended. That said, however, there can be NO guarantees that future street confrontations, such as this one, will continue to end as peacefully as did this very tenuous incident.

A soldier is trained to react by unleashing deadly force the instant he becomes convinced that his life, or that of his brothers-in-arms, may be confronted with immediate danger, so, from the perspective of this armchair observer, it is absolutely MIRACULOUS that no bullets flew, and that no lives were lost on the day the above video clip was recorded.

The foolish soldiers and police would have committed that blunder and see Osibanjo invited to the UN headquarters to sign the disintegration of Nigeria.

What were they doing there at that hour

Is that their duty post

Why bypass and obstruct them

Go and show a lawyer that video and listen to his comment.
