I like the bolded words. When you drive most japanese cars, they are difficult to control on top speed during a dangerous/double dangerous bend roads but with European cars(Mercedis) for e.g as a great manoeuvre that won't make it go off balance during the bend.

Very reliable and durable bro

Which Japanese cars?

I want to believe if you try your great manoeuvre with a German car that has poor centre of gravity, you will land inside the bush_ if not in heaven.

Add Lexus.

People with cash are today buying more Lexus RX 330, 350, ES 300, 330, 350 than even toyota.

Innoson will be chosen by Nigerian patriots, Toyota by safe players, Benz by those in need of luxury and BMW by performance enthusiasts.

Those who want to feel young or become a transporter like VW, those who want a usually cheaper and different Japanese brand go for Nissan etc.

Tell us that single car brand you would stick to if you can only use one car brand for the rest of your life.

Note, partner car brands should be treated as separate so you can’t go looking at a Lexus after choosing Toyota. Got that?

And if you go pick Rolls Royce, OYO is your case as you’ll be going to the market in a Phantom and to your neighbour’s house in a Ghost I am sure you’d like that.

No jalopies please! No legedis!!. No one should come saying “vanity” and asking “will the cars take you to heaven?”

I never said Japanese cars have better centre of gravity _ neither do I think centre of gravity is dependent on Japanese or German but what the brand has in mind.

Most sedans have low centre of gravity which I consider good enough. SUVs are actually more prone to rolling over because of their higher centre of gravity. They are better at head-on collision and have more balance while on speed due to greater mass...not for great manoeuvres (at least up to some limit).

What is the function of the (rear) axle? I believe to transfer engine power to the wheels and carry the weight of a vehicle. How does it come into play here? (That's in relation to poor centre of gravity _not comparison between FWD/RWD/4WD/AWD) Enlighten and correct me anywhere I am wrong.

This thread shows how poor our knowledge of vehicles is. For those saying Toyota when luxury is mentioned , kindly try and drive a Honda accord car , say 2006 model and compare it with a Toyota Camry of 2009 and come back here to mention Toyota again. The only problem a Honda has is the unforgiving ball joint. Yes, it will definitely give u some signs, but if u ignore it as a typical African, then it will disgrace or kill u within a short time. I'm not saying Toyota cars don't have ball joint, but Toyota can make use of a bad ball joint for a longer time than Honda.

But when it comes to agility, stability, speed and balance, I will never chose a Toyota. It is going to be Benz and if I can't afford Benz , it is definitely going to be a Honda accord Ex-l , V6 like the one I currently cruise around.

You are not wrong, I just chip in that topic of discussion (rear axle)

Your analysis is correct brother. However you would still agree with me that most European automobile brands are more durable and reliable than their Japanese counterparts considering the engine performance, maneuvering and other factors.

Permit me to digress a bit, have u seen most sport cars are Europeans and Americans dominated cars.. cool

Maybe when I get a better job I will upgrade to Benz, I've heard so much about it.
