Poverty of course. Believe you me, crime is more prevalent among the downtrodden than the rich. I've had the privilege to experienced life in both divides, so I understand better.

I think wealth is more potent to falling into sin if the possessor's inner life is not firmly anchored in the laws of God. Nothing is wrong with wealth. It merely provides the opportunity to reveal who we really are. You cannot claim to be strong when the opportunity to commit without anyone's knowlege is not present.

A man thinks more of his creator when he is poor, because he needs help from Him. If he is comfortable he feels no need to be closer to his creator and much liberty to satiate the dictates of his sensous desires.

A cleric once said poverty is not of God meaning it's a sin

poverty: Frustration, pain, suffering

Both can lead you to sin.

Both. As a rich person , your money literally brings sin to your doorstep. As a poor person, you go out looking for sin to improve your life

It depends on individual, we don't respond to poverty or wealth same way

Basically even from human angle check out how the rich break civil laws with impunity cos they believe they can buy thier way out and can still have extra. But the poor is unlikely to do so cos he has no "money that answereth all things" and whoever breaks civil laws is guilty in God's eyes. We have seen occasions where rich men claim with thier money they can bribe God to enter, some even went on to claim that when they get to heaven with thier money they will throw it out when angels are busy scrambling for thier money they will just sneak in to heaven can you imagine that kind of thing. How how will people like this not ad prone to sin more. Thats why its easier for a camel...

Why can`t you address a topic without quoting a bible? Based on your observation, which among poverty and wealth is likely to make one derail from the things of God? In my opinion it is poverty. Poor people are horrible to interact with, especially here in Nigeria.

Wealth brings comfort to the mind. In fact the fear of poverty is what makes wealthy people to be corrupt

Abraham was wealthy, Isaac Jacob, Joseph etc. and they all served God.

For me, wealth means increase. While poverty means a state of want or lack.

Sin is a nature on his own. Just as act of rightousenes and Good are natures on thieir own.Pride, arrogance, greed, unforgiveness..etc.vs love. Truth kindness, compassion etc..

Now as I said earlier, wealth mean "many" or "increase"Whenever this nature of wealth( substitute word being increase) meet with this nature(unforgiveness , pride, arrogance, greed etc)..it tends to act on it and creates increase. But note also,that if it acts on the other natures if rightouse compassion, loves, giving.etc. it also tend to create increase as well. Therefore as a spiritual phenomenal they are not judge as good or bad, rather they are what they are.

On the other side,poverty which means "lack" or decrease",..Whenever it acts on those above listed nature, has the ability to cause decrease in their overall effects. When they act on "giving" , as a positive phenomenon for instance,it can slow its outreach althougether.if it acts on pride it can also reduce it effect significantly.

So basically when spirit of wealth is on a man. Their is likely to be an all round increment. Not only on physical things but spiritual as well. That means if spiritually we have dose of pride. If wealth comes, its likely to increase. If poverty comes as well , its likely to decrease.

For those whom God elect to carry his mandate, the nature of humility, forgiveness, hardworking, giving. Has been so drilled in them so much so when the wealth comes all this natures are increase as well.

Hence the bible said that he wish us above all that we prosper and be in health just as those nature ( soul) are prospering

hadith says... poverty is a close sister to disbelief.

and another says...... blessed is wealth in the hands of a righteous person.

its easier to control the drag from wealth by giving out in philanthropic gestures. the good rich man does not hurt people, he is gentle (as we all know that poverty is the greatest source of unnecessary aggression, based on the empty kpangolo adage)

poverty, my brother can make a righteous woman at the verge of loosing her job, sleep with her demanding boss if thats the only source of income, some drivers are bullied by their madam to sleep with them.

poor people who have no hope of getting married are constant patronisers of hookers. while rich men may do it every once in a while, poor men do it everyday steady. they have no dreams. they just want to cum.

poverty makes people fight over small things. like 50naira can make a bus conductor tear a righteous mans cloth.

poverty makes people have time for nonsense. backbiting, spying and lousy and useless boasting. the statement "do you know who i am?" comes more from poor people.

if a poor man should see your one million naira and return it, the whole world will stand in ovation for him because it is not expected. i was in the police station last year when a pastor was brought in for quickly withdrawing 1.8m someone mistakenly paid into his account. the poor banker that made the mistake lost her job, yet the pastor was claiming it was the answer to his prayers that brought that money.

lastly, if you want to know between wealth and poverty which is more capable of causing great sins, compare living in banana island and in egbeda. where will you likely find your missing wallet? is it egbeda? no!
