The Evangelist ORAL ROBERTS said that when he prayed to know how he could know JESUS, he was answered:

As a Warrior, your GOAL is NOT to clear out the Casino on the first bet.

Your Goal is to LEARN HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED.

To win on the FIRST can even be construed as BAD FOR THE WARRIOR, because it engenders the idea that THAT is how to Play a Game. Therefore, you do not learn to BOX by jumping in the Ring with the World Champion- in a Championship Fight! It is his JOB to turn fools like that into Cat Food.

FIRST, you start off hitting a BAG. Preferably one of the ones that don't hit you back! Then, when you have learned to throw punches, you then step in the ring with a live opponent, preferably your good friend- or, at least, someone who understands that he (or she!) won't get paid, if you are in a coma. (For this reason, you do not use your ex-girlfriend at least, not until you reach advanced level!)

After you have reached the point where your sparring partners cannot put bruises on you any more, then you can turn Pro.

DISCIPLINE is the ability to continue learning, even when it is so painful and exhausting you want to quit. This must never be confused with the will to continue after two different Doctors have told you to STOP. That is not “DISCIPLINE;” that is STUPIDITY!

There is a point of Diminishing Returns, beyond which PAIN is NOT Gain- whatever the Sergeant says. It may be necessary to go as near to that point as is Humanly possible.

FORBEARANCE is knowing when to stop Wasting Moves; when you don't have to show The Enemy what you can do. Sometimes you have to let the Yam Thief have every day-

TIMING -EXCEPT the ONE day that belongs to YOU, the Farmer. If YOU are the THIEF, however, you are supposed to know how to take a break on Farmer's Day.

Of course, this applies to other Time periods than “days.”

In BOXING, all the hours the Champion used to make you into "POUNDO-MAN" are MEANINGLESS, if you can use ONE SECOND to make him use that his Belt for an emergency neck-brace! You have to be ready to exploit the CUBIC CENTIMETRE OF CHANCE, knowing that it may not always be available.

WILL the Mental Force that upholds all the previous Attributes. When an action is repeated over and over again, it becomes a POWER of UNYIELDING INTENT.

This Power releases from the base of the abdomen, three finger-widths beneath the navel, like an arrow. WILL, therefore, can be considered the cocking of the bow that fires “THE ARROW OF INTENT.

THE PETTY TYRANT (PINCHES TIRANITOS) is an ENEMY over whom the WARRIOR has NO CONTROL. The more Powerful, the better! The more “FULL-OF-HIMSELF,” the better!” If he has LITERAL Power of Life-and-Death over the WARRIOR, so much the better!

The idea is to MILK EVERY LAST DROP OF FREEDOM out from under the EVIL YOKE of the PETTY TYRANT, to achieve Goals, WITHOUT TRIGGERING THE MURDEROUS RAMPAGE of the PETTY TYRANT. A PETTY TYRANT who LIKES you, the WARRIOR is USELESS.

When your [i]PETTY TYRANT doesn't HATE you, the WARRIOR, any more, they are USELESS, and need to be EJECTED... or REBOOTED!

The PETTY TYRANT, should ideally want to KILL you, and be WELL-ABLE to, but DISABLED by your use of STALKING, DREAMING, and INTENT.

While the WARRIOR is learned SELF-CONTROL under the PETTY TYRANT, they will be building up Spiritual Energy, which they can use to battle SERIOUS foes- Enemies beyond the ones that can KILL THE BODY- but after THAT, have NOTHING MORE that they can do.
