Leaders come from the people.

If a kid goes through the educational system wiping his hands on his uniform anytime he finish eating , when he becomes a leader he will do same cos he wasn't socialised to know otherwise.
exactly, that was why I said there would be good followers if there's a good leader

Ditto for Alex ekwueme,Anyim pius Anyim,stella oduah,ekweremadu,emeka ihedioha,ngozi okonjo iweala,evan enwerem,ken nnamani,sm Afolabi,bode George,tafa balogun,akpabio,alamesiagha and james ibori.

Aluko and the other yoruba guy that stole the money with stella oduah.I have never seen yorubas defending them anyway!

You are part of the problem and a hypocrite. Just a typical Nigerian who is ignorant of what Nigeria's problem is. The people that were dancing and celebrating Bode George, I guess they are not Yoruba. The people that celebrate and defend Tinubu are not Yoruba.
I am sure you conveniently don't know about your President Buhari defending Abacha and saying he was not corrupt. He also defended his Sec. to the Govt of the Fed, Babachir Lawal and cleared him of corruption. I'm you are conveniently not aware or is it selective amnesia.
Nigeria's problem is not necessarily corruption but the dysfunctional political structure. Read up the series of interviews by Chief Ayo Adebanjo and get informed.
Every region of the country is defending their own. And that includes Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa/Fulani, Ijaw etc, including your own region. Igbo and Ijaw are not your problem in Nigeria. Clean up your behind first before going after another person.

OP you are funny oo..so because you got some pictures (from the internet I'm sure) of some good secondary schools in Ghana, you now assume that there are no better secondary schools in Nigeria?
Do you even know how many secondary schools are in Nigeria?
Why don't you tour the length and breadth of the 36 states in this country and carry out your research before jumping into conclusion

That is true. Thanks for the pictures of those beautiful and well kept high schools. I hope it inspires us to start beautifying our environments.

This thread makes me laugh.

So many missionary schools in Nigeria taken over by the govt have better structures than these.

Nigerian secondary school graduates speak better English than their Ghanaian counterparts.

Nigerians excel more in WAEC examination compared to Ghanaian secondary school leavers

Where are the science and lab equipments in those pictures? None whatsoever

As you laugh at the thread, I also laugh at your statement. Some of what you wrote is true but here is my opinion having experience both countries critically. If you are talking of missionary school in Nigeria having better structure, Ghana also have missionary schools with better structure. it seems you have accepted that Nigerian govt school is whacked.

Who speaks better English? Ghanaian students who finished from their govt schools speaks better English.. in fact, I can argue that a Ghanaian northerner who drops out of school as most of them do in JHS 3 speaks better English than our secondary school leavers in the govt school.

excel more in waec? keep in mind Ghana started doing wassce in the year 2006.. They have not been doing waec compared to Gambia,Liberia and Sierra Leone. What Ghana has been doing previously is the GCE and SSCE. from the time Ghana started waec, since the last 3-4years they have been at the 1st position consecutively.

here is an assignment for you.. if you think your English or Nigerian English is well spoken, there is this voice recognition software on phone.. speak to the computer (AI) and you will notice your words are not well pronounced.. but when Ghanaians speaks, the computer knew what they were saying.. I schooled in Ghana, and most Nigerians bleeped up on this until when they took their time, spoke slowly before the machine captured what they were saying..

This same thing was applied to the francophones. A French student spoke and the voice recognition captured his words but when the ivorians spoke their French, it was unable to detect it..

a good book i must say. He made me have a B3 in chemistry, all thanks to him. Chemistry was my best subject as i could make ref to relevant parts like a pastor would with the bible.

But then again, the illustrations and examples he gave are Nigerian examples. He made several references to Nigerian facilities and achievements. I really wonder why he did not use Ghana's examples instead. Did e ever live in Nigeria?
well I suppose that since it's the approved standard book for west Africa the editors have to make it compatible with respective regions . To further promote understanding . Not also downplaying the fact that he could have also taught in Nigeria , the influence of Ghanaian teachers in Nigeria over the years cannot be over looked .

You only mentioned Tinubu and help you add those people you didn't want want to mention I even included the Yorubas.

Yorubas dont officially support criminals like you guys do.

Bode George
Tafa balogun
sm Afolabi
dimeji bankole
Aluko

All those people above are not in the good book of yorubas. And you will never see anyone defending them officially like Asari dokubo did and all over the socia media.

As for tinubu, all the story about him remain a conspiracy theory untill you guys are able to petition the EFCC.Same thing applies to NOI.

And you think this is serene and beautiful? Nigerians and our poor sense of aesthetics.

Since you can't see anything good in Nigeria, why don't you come and live in Ghana and maybe enrol in one of the 'beautiful' secondary schools undecided

Oga what is "pure and British English?"
Is that what you were taught in school?

We're talking about rules in oral English and you're talking of "pure British English" as if there's any such thing taught in any school during English classes.
Pls tell me has there been any time when you were in school your English teacher came to teach and wrote "pure British English" on the board?
Conversely, were you taught oral English in school?

Indeed ignorance is bliss

Our Government doesnt invest in education that is why our educational facilities are decaying and some of our students are fleeing to nearby countries like Ghana for education. It's a shame. Nigeria that was recognized for its ivory tower like University of Ibadan has completely neglected that sector.

This is where i had my secondary education. i was in knight hse. Every student is in boarding house. Infact about 80% of schools in cape coast are all boarding schools without day students. Proud Santacluasian( That's how we are called)
Re: Adisadel College In Ghana That Got Me Shocked by samituga: 4:03pm On Aug 30, 2020
You must be really pained that we have better secondary schools than your country cld ever dream of. We hv state of the art labs too. If you care to know Adisadel College is the only school in ghana buiilt by students and old students continue to upgrade the infrastructure yearly through old school association.Tell me if any secondary school in nigeria has this auditorium
This thread makes me laugh. There are indeed many simpletons calling themselves Nigerians, it's shameful.

So many missionary schools in Nigeria taken over by the govt have better structures than these, besides Nigerian trained graduates of tertiary education have achieved more than their Ghanaian counterparts collectively

Nigerian secondary school graduates speak better English than their Ghanaian counterparts they also excel more in overseas competitions than their Ghanaian counterparts

Nigerians excel more in WAEC examination compared to Ghanaian secondary school leavers

Where are the science and lab equipments in those pictures? None whatsoever

Show us the school curriculum and compare it to ours, then tell us the exploits that students from Ghanaian public schools have made internationally and compare to ours, Iranu
