On 24/07/2017 at about 2205hrs along Milverton Area Aba,police patrol team attached to Central Police Station Aba while on routine patrol, intercepted one Obasi Chibuike putting on police bullet proof jacket and extorting motorists.

   On sighting the patrol team, suspect fled the scene but was over-powered by the team. The following items were recovered from him during search: three live cartridges, one bullet proof, one jack knife and an International Passport. The suspect has however, confessed to being a member of four man robbery gang terrorizing Aba and its environs. Effort is put in place toward arresting the other members of his gang as well as recovering their weapons.

No, he had gun on him. When he spotted the police and took off running he threw the gun in the underbrush. Stewpid police should have combed the area and would have found the gun.

Those are cartridges used for shotguns. They contain between 60 to 80 pellets each. Most criminals use them because they're usually easily sourced. The licensed rifles in Nigeria use similar cartridges and so are in regular supply.
