Why old drivers.

So you don't want to fight corruption
He doesn't want to pay the 10k for background check.

He will pay it

Once the old driver leaves his former partner the 10k goes back to The partner.

New partner pays for the "already done verification".

It's a closed system.

Yea, sure.

It's a one time payment.

When you are done with the driver and he finds another partner you get refunded your 10k.

so if the driver don't find another partner nko? You don't get refunded? Actually the 10k deduction was borne by me. Still completed the partner's weekly rental pay, he would be ripping me off my 10k if I eventually leave?

new uber partners don't give ur selves high BP, aim for 25-30k

The boys will impress you the first two weeks, but after that you will start to hear stories.

If you want stable returns, drop the weekly payments.

If you want to succeed in this business, ask for down payment.

25-30k can be made in 1 and half days.

25k-30k a week is nothing. You just opened up business for the driver,

u don't know what is going down on Uber and Taxify. Are u a driver. Have you driven on these platforms before. There is a huge difference btw Earnings and profits. Earnings of 60k-80k weekly can't even guarantee u profit of 30k. Minus d cost of running d biz from your earnings that's determines if u at loss or not.

Stop trying to cheat car owners, 40k should be the least car owners should get.

If you drive 10 - 12hours for 6days, you will make minimum of 60-70k minus fuel money. So drivers are taking home 20-30k minimum weekly, after paying 40k weekly rental.

I have driven Uber and taxify, only weekends money is enough to cover ur car rental.

Last week Saturday my driver made 35k on taxify with 2k fuel.

The more you are trying to cheat car owners, the more you will discourage new investors, the more drivers will be jobless.

typical nigerian.

he made 35k on saturday... does he make 35k everyday of the week?

how much does he make every other day of the week?

does he eat? what does he eat a day? how much does he spend on food? how much does he spend on airtime and data? does he wash the car? how much does he spend on the car weekly? what of the other days he didnt make 35k? how did he cope with stress and frustration of not getting requests? did you care? did you bother? he made 35k and you are getting excited and unnecessarily egoistic because you own a car?

with the way you were moaning and complaining all over this thread of your inability to make money on uber, one would have thought that, atleast, you would understand what drivers go thru on lagos roads. is it easy to drive long hours? it is sweet and very easy to paste results, but have you asked how those results were made?

again, typical nigerian. i have always said it and will continue to say it.... that you cannot do it does not mean it is impossible. people who strategize ways to do something you failed woefully at, should also be allowed to enjoy the fruits of their labor. if it is so easy, buy 2k fuel this saturday and drive on taxify. if you make 35k i will deactivate this account. then make that 35k every other day of the week.

this is why this country is so messed up. some people just sit somewhere, whip out their calculators and calculate how much a driver should be making and how much he should be delivering.

now, according to your mumbo jumbo analysis posted up there, where you questioned why drivers should want to make more than 20k weekly for themselves, how much do you think a driver will be left with after feeding himself, washing the car, and buying airtime and data?

you have driven on uber and taxify bla bla yada yada.... so.... why did you stop if it was so easy? now you talk of investors getting discouraged? is it by force ni? must they invest in taxi business? so investors will shy away from investing because they are scared drivers would make more money than they would? what a warped, insensitive and jejunistic mentality!

"the more investors are discouraged the more drivers are jobless".....

this has got to be the most useless and simplistic quote i have read all month.... did you create drivers that you can now determine that they will be jobless? most drivers you see here are skilled professionals with differnt reasons why they choose to drive. so you own a car and makes you better than them?

what a 1895 mentality!

35k from 2k fuel is the only thing I saw and I'm not buying the story...not even with a 1.0L engine the cherryQQ or picanto. Easy with the zobo

I think the bottom line is that you can make more on uber than working in some companies.
I ran a test on uber one time from 7am till 8pm and made an ok money. I spent 5k on fuel and didn't do much calling (which you won't need if you can follow the map very well).

dckng16:
when u arrive at their destination how do you notify them only by SMS? What if there delays by your riders, won't u call them to know far. U can't use 3K fuel on 19 trips 17 hours online. No car is that fuel efficient to dat level. 17 hours is like u re working from 8am - 11pm

After driving on taxify and uber, (though I drive my own car) I started thinking how those on rentals cope. I see how difficult d job is now. With uber peanut fare and taxify long awaiting riders request. Most car owners/investors seat some where and expect their driver to deliver 35k to 40k weekly. To me, i feel every one should come down a little. Car owners/investors reduce to 25 to 30k please. And uber should also reduce there 25 percent to 5 percent and taxify should do more publicity. Its not easy. Kudos to all d drivers out there!

Oga, I'm on the road...

For those of you who don't know, taxify is very lucrative on weekends, you get request after request non stop until you go offline.

2k fuel to make 35k on weekends is so easy with taxify, with taxify you go only 2km or less for pick up, and drive the rider to his or her destination. With a good rate and less % cut.

I registered taxify last week and I regretted why I haven't done so for long.

The bone of contention here isn't whether or not taxify is lucrative on weekend but the fact that 35k cannot be derived from a fuel of 2k (approx 14liters), provided the station's pump is running legit.

Perhaps the driver already had reasonably amount of fuel in his tank, and only added a top up of 2k.
