Afonja, shove this your skewed narrative up ur ass.igbo dont give a phuk about who you think they are, they are just telling you tribal bigots they want stay away from u thru biafra.i dont know why you could take the pains to write such a long essay on igbo issue when igbo themselves dont care about you or your tribe,if not for inferiority complex.
Village criminal, envious, toxic air breathing ipod spotted... Why e dey pain you.

This Dads point of view could be an after effect of constant intertribal wars on forums like NL, this is why i insist, that in the event of disintegration, all Nigerian forums that promoted anti tribal posts (to generate traffic)should be bold enough to accept the blames of the part they played in destroying our fragile unity.
You honestly think her dad would use NL as a criterion to judge igbo people? How many oldies do you think visit these forums in the first place?

Hell will go cold the day nairalanders start responding maturely like those commenters up there
It will never happen Because nairaland is a faceless forum unlike facebook and people tend to be more cautious and smarter on face book

You say this is an MTN project fame winner? Are they this dumb over there? A smart person cannot be entertaining this nonsense thinking let alone seek the opinion of others. Why isnt the opinion of her father obviously dumb to her? Sigh.

Sagay212:
Not some, a lot of Igbo people are good. If you live in Lagos or Abuja, you will find a lot of Igbo girls especially in Lagos who can even speak yoruba and other languages. If you to ladipo, alaba, yaba, ojuelegba market you will see a lot of correct igbo guys who don't give two phucks about anybody's tribe. They just want to make money and be friendly with anybody. Some of them will even joke with you speaking yoruba even though they can't speak it well..they'll make you laugh ..If you hang out a lot you'll see correct igbo guys having fun and you'll see their entertainers playing and dancing to their native ogene song( always very interesting especially the flute).

The igbos who come on NL making dirty noise are the bitter, envious ones who live in the villages. The ones who live outside of the SE regions and still hate are those ones who stayed long in the village before running out of the SE for breath of fresh air. Some of them also hate because their parents and forefathers have told them all kinds of false Biafra stories and taught them to hate every other person who is not igbo.

I also noticed that if you bring an ipod from the village in SE to either lagos, abuja, PH, their mentality will change after spending up to a year and tasting good money and enjoyment. Fresh breeze go blow that toxic ipod hatred comot their head.
All tribes are like this...

It seems her father wants the money and thinks an Igbo guy will help her grow it and out of his control

The average Igbo guy who is not on NL just want to hustle and make money and take care of his woman if she will treat him with lots of respect and not too much about tribe.
Thats why Calabar ladies are snatching many Igbo guys cos most of them know how to treat any man well.

The average Igbo girl will make you to become a warrior because thats how they are raised, for instance since FFK married that Igbo girl his natural Yoruba fear of Fulanis dissipated, even Gov Akeredolu will tell you that his wife has been the pillar behind his success.

Follow your heart and pray to God to help you make the right choice irrespective of tribe.

There is no inter tribal marriage problem between lovers. The problem is with experience of third party attachees like her father.

A Yoruba Catholic? That's as rare as finding a unicorn.

What is wrong with igbo people?

I am a typical Yoruba guy, though I might be joking on this platform about their tribe, but some igbo men are also good.

Apart from leaving with some of them in our family house then.

I also had an opportunity to live with one during my service in akwa ibom, the guy is wonderfully made, may be because we are both catholic, but truth be told, is not all igbo men that are bad.

[quote author=GeneralOjukwu post=59041256][b] My deductions -

1. Your Dad is loyal to NCAN (Class of 1977).

2. He doesn't want a son-in-law who wears your clothes & runs to Abidjan any time he sees trouble.

3. He doesn't want you to be a widow when your hubby visits Asia.

CONCLUSION - your Dad is a wise man.

Bible said "Children obey thy parents"

which tribe has the highest number of single mother?

It is hard to find honest flatron.

He knows, it's really hard to trust those descendants of judas iscariot

Plus they are mostly arrogant, envious with serious inferiority complex.

Igbos are great that is why there are lots of hatred and envy towards us. Just like the way pple hates Barcelona because of their qualities and results. IGBO-AMAKAZI.

what we hear and read repetedly will unknowingly get engraved as a pseudo truth in our subconcious mind.

On if oldies visits NL, bro do not under estimate the power of social media, besides when i say after effect of e_ wars, figuratively it incorporates all case scenarios where tribalasim and Bigotry are beign promoted.

that Dad is the type that spreads hate to his kids from craddle, his type are the major causes of lack of tolerance in this project Nigeria.

Believe it or not, a very greater percentage or
of people who Come out here to attack each other does so basing their facts on hear say from this kind of Dad, most have not got any first hand experience of how bad their Igbo or Hausa or Yoruba neighbours are.

Well, this is a non-issue. How does her father's opinion about Igbos help our ailing economy? She can marry whomever her dad chooses for her (assuming she can't make up her own mind).

As to her question - there's nothing wrong with Igbo men. We're actually great, just like our women. cheesy
