Good day Gurus in the house.

I want to initiate plan to relocate to Canada using the Express Entry system (Permanent Residence). I am married with two kids, presently working with over 9 years of experience. But the arrangement on ground is for me to relocate first while my wife and two kids (3yrs & 5yrs) will join me after my settling down.

I am new on this platform and have reached out to Attorney David Cohen (I am sure most of us knows his firm). The professional fee requested by this firm is rather on the high, $1,990.

My enquiries are listed below:

1. Can I initiate the process myself without going through any firm or agent?
2. How do I go about the process from start to finish if i need to do it myself without any agent?
3. If I include my family in the processing, will it increase my chances of getting ITA, noting my wife also works with over 7 years experience.
4. At what point will I go for the IELTS exam?

Please help with all the necessary info I may require to start the processing.

Thank you ALL

My enquiries are listed below:

1. Can I initiate the process myself without going through any firm or agent? Yes you can. Most of the people on this platform got their PR without using an agent.
2. How do I go about the process from start to finish if i need to do it myself without any agent? You need to start by reading from page 0 of this thread to understand the process. Then you can ask questions on areas that are not clear. Most issues have been dealt with already.
3. If I include my family in the processing, will it increase my chances of getting ITA, noting my wife also works with over 7 years experience. You should use the CRS calculator to check what your score will be. The last draw was at 440.
4. At what point will I go for the IELTS exam? I will advise you prepare and register now. You should also evaluate your degrees. Most people here have used WES or IQAS.

Please help with all the necessary info I may require to start the processing.

Thank you ALL

You do not need any agent for the EE process. U can do it all on your own. Read page 0 here and CIC website to understand what the process entails. All the info u need is here.
On a lighter note, if u still need an agent abeg give me half of the money wey Cohen charge I go do a better job for u. grin

Did u use government eventually?

yokus:
Should it be Government for LIRS- Lagos state internal revenue
Cos they are referred to as public servants not civil servants

I didn't see any drop down in the EE profile.
I added my two certificates in the profile I submitted

Oops! Maybe I am mixing your enquiry up with e-APR.

Please review again taking @perks suggestion into consideration.

During the IELTS exam, they will ask you to fill a form to reflect any changes. You will be required to use the exact information on your passport whether wrong or not. If they crosscheck your passport and there any discrepancies, you must fill the form.
There was a lady in my exam who filled her IELTS form with name Simbi Eze Spiff. Her passport says Eze Simbi Spiff.
She was asked to change it to the passport formatl

Thanks. So what do u suggest I do? Should I go swear an affidavit?

Thanks once again.

I would advise that you get someone to do this you. Look for a fingerprint technician and send multiple copies of the fingerprinted form so that the FBI can use the best.

I pray they do oh....I don't know why they now paused when I finally enter pool. Currently at 438 which is the highest score I can attain, don't know if I have a good standing with this score provided the last draw was 440.Hoping it comes down this time.

Congrats to all those that have succeeded already. Congratulations in advance to others who are expecting the good news.

I have a question

Unfortunately i missed trying this EE thing earlier when i was much younger and i don't know if my chances are gone
I'm 34, BSc,5 years experience and wife is B.Sc

Is it possible for me to hit a CRS score of 450 considering age and qualification? If yes, what IELTS score will give me that score?
If one does not get the high score, can one rely on PNPs? What are the chances to get a nomination? It seems only Ontairo that nominates people

I am just confused. I don't know if my chances are very low and whether it will make sense to give it a try.
has anyone succeeded with a profile that looks like mine?

Hello all,

Please i need someone who did first and second degree in unilag to help me with this.

I just called the transcript office and was made to understand that both my B.Sc and MBA transcript would be sent to WES. I applied for only MBA evaluation and WES has received my certificate.

Do i need to send my B.Sc certificate to WES as well?

To have a reasonable score, you need a minimum of 8777 in IELTS LRWS. Your wife might also have to write IELTS and assess her BSc to increase your chances. Use this CRS tool to calculate your points, based on your credentials, so that you can have an idea of what you will score.

Guys, I just checked my EE profile and saw a notification of maintenance on the site scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, 2nd August and while looking around to ensure that everything is intact in my profile, I noticed that my status was on 'updated'. and not submitted

I viewed my submitted application just to ensure that I don't have anything not transmitted and re-signed my online signature. However, the status is still on 'updated' and more worrisome, I also saw a notification that says 'Continue my profile / application, not yet submitted' Is this normal? I'm getting really worried, being that there might be a draw tomorrow.
