Some children r like dt. Reduce the clothing as per no cap, mittens, socks ontop overall (some even wear singlet wth d overall). Only overall is ok. If u wana put on the fan or airconditioner ensure it's d lowest and the fan should nt face baby directly.

eheeen, so here is what we do...

fruits - Banana puree, apple puree, avocado puree

cereals - Gerber oatmeal, Nutribom rice, nutribom multigrain, Cerelac (any of their combos), nutribom maize

Home made foods - Plaintain+titus fish puree, Sweet potato+titus fish puree, any other new meal we have tried and she likes.

August secrets nuttymeal, August secrets mixagrain,

Her daily meal is a combination of one or 2 foods food from each of the above groups and then milk (formula) feeds as well.

Example, for today I packed - 2 milk feeds + August secrets Mixagrain + Plantain fish puree + Cerelac.
She had breastmilk very early in the morning B4 we left the house(5.30/6am ish) and then around 8am she will have her mixagrain. Later in the day her nanny rotates the formula feed and other solids for her.
Most days she finishes all her food, but there are days when we have mostly 1 milk feed left, In such a case we take the milk for dinner and then breastfeed all night till the following morning.

I just try to vary her food so she isn't eating the same thing every day.

On the days when we have exhausted our home-made foods, we just do august secrets + cereals + formula feeds.

For cereals I also mix; Cerelac + nutribom or Gerber+cerelac or Gerber+Nutribom

* We try new meals on weekends, so I can see her reaction and how well she takes it. If she likes it, then I incorporate it into her weekday schedule.
*She likes boiled egg yolk, so I give her at nights when we are home (not everyday o), cos i feel it may get spoilt if i have to pack it in the morning and they wait till later to feed it to her.
*Fruit Purees are for snacking, more like an in-between meals kinda thing, cos e no de belleful her again. We also take fruit purees as dinner and then use bre.astmilk to support
*August secret veggie beans is for weekends too. She isn't a fan of it jare so I didnt include it in her weekday schedule.
* I add formula to her August secrets food except veggie beans

Boil the new teat in water for about five minutes to further soften it.

If that doesn't work, it's possible he's tired of NAN. try another milk brand like aptamil or any other reputable brand.

Why not have him stay in a reputable crèche ? I won't really trust a maid/housegirl with a child that young.

Her thigh got swollen at both occasions and it took weeks, not days before the swollen part goes down and it has make that part of her thigh to be black maybe cos of the ice I'm putting, I don't understand, the two injections for her 10 weeks was even given to her on one thigh cos the other thigh was still swollen and painful at that time. I always use ice on the spot immediately I discover it's swollen but it doesn't go down on time, the next day it becomes red and more swollen and she cries so much if I mistakenly touch it. Pls mamas what can I do to avoid this same occurrence next week cos presently the thigh she took the injections for 10 weeks is still paining her. Do I need to press very well after injection or what? Pls sabi mamas, come to my aid, don't jump and pass pls

See if you can ask another personal to administer it incase the previous person hand is "hard".

That thigh may need to be checked out by a doctor if it's still painful as you've said.

I use it and so far, we've not had issues with it. However, each child is unique and might react differently to any formular.

If ur hubby insists that he wants Aptamil, why not buy it for a start and watch how ur LO takes it.
If it's good for him, all well...

Check the can ma, the (mls)/ volume of water to which you should mix the scoop of milk should be there.

3 babies out of how ever many your friend may know..... cannot be classified as "most". That is quite an exageration!

The rash could have been caused by something else the child was exposed to that may have coincided with when the aptamil was introduced. The reaction the other babies had what exactly was it? Plus is it the original one they got, Nigeria is notorious for a lot of fake items so i wont rule out that.

I used aptamil follow on milk from when DD was 8 months up to 13months and had no issues with it. It is one of the brands tipped to be one of the better quality ones on the market.

Buy a can from a reputable source and test first before you decide to do larger quantities.

So we went for our 6weeks immunization(penta1)& honestly,it not funny o. My baby has being so fussy since morning and running temperature but i've given him pcm. My first child never reacted this way o(i guess children are different sha...)


With my first,he had all his immunization in the private hospital i delivered and i pay N3000 at for each immunization...
I wanted him to take d polio immunization when someone ditected me to a PHC-Centre. I never knew immunization there is FREE o. Nawa for Private hospital o and Government supplies all Hosp etc free o.

When ever I sit him down, he usually bend and try sucking his socks. Is this normal, won't his back get bent? Please teach me the right way to go about this sitting stuff...thank you so much

Really? No ice? It was even the pead that advised I put ice so that the swelling will go down, it is well o. I took her to the hospital cos of the pain and hardness, they had to do ultrasound of her thigh and they said everything is fine that with time the hardness will disappear but until now, it hasn't. The person that administered her 6 weeks was different from the 10 weeks own and still the same thing happened, that's why I'm worried.

See a big dirt where?

It is impossible to see the inside of an ear (ear drum) without specialist instrument. If there's any ear wax that has pushed out to the outer ear, simply use a flannel or soft face towel and wipe the outer ear.

Check your pack of q-tips/cotton buds. The instructions on it are clear - do not insert in the ear.

If you are concerned about ear wax then take the child to the hospital.

I did combination feeding and I introduced aptamil when my child was around 3 weeks and stopped at 13 months when I introduced cow milk. I had absolutely no issues with it.

Like alphahandmaiden has posted it's possible the rash was due to something else or the milk was fake.

Use pillows to support him all around(front, back, side) and keep him sitted upright. He shouldn't be kept sitting for a long time though. You can also gently massage his back after you're done.

I think he is not ready to be put in that position. Don't force it, baby will sit when he is ready.

You have to let him rest his back against something soft.
Or a carton that isn't too big. Like indomie carton, pad it with wrappers.
