Morning guys, some one asked how does the immobiliser or timer work's.. The timer is a small switch fix in a strategic position for u by an experienced electrician, it works with the fuel, Once ur car is been stolen either at gun point or otherwise the car will just shutdown complete within 5mins once the drivers door is opened. Nothing will work in the car, if they like they should start the car from now till tomorrow it will never start they will have no choice than to abandoned the car and run away, only the owner will restart the car by touching the button(switch).

U should have put fuel cut immobilizer. My Camry 2001 which is hot cake for robbers has it.

My mechanic once tried to do a fast one on me after I dropped d car for service. He decided to go flex d car and it stopped after 3km of drive. He started calling and asking silly questions like if I have security, I knew he must have tried taking d car out, I said no only to get to d workshop and didn't see my car. Called him and he was like d car get fault somewhere, took a taxi to d spot, collected d key and started my car and zoomed off.

I can't imagine some body buying car of 1.5 but can't put either a tracker or a timer that will shutdown the car btwn 5mins which only cost 10k. the disadvantage of the tracker is that at times when they go with ur phone u can't get it tracked immediately or maybe when there's a network problem, but as for the timer it doesn't need that because it works with the fuel. If you like your life dearly, never subscribe to a fuel cut/immobilizer.

Imagine your car is snatched at gunpoint and the thieves who are not in a hurry ask you to run around with them just to confirm if your car has an immobilizer

What happens then when, after you say "NO" and car suddenly stops

You know the rest.

Best is to do a full comprehensive insurance cover and supplement with a car tracker.

If the thief likes, let him take you to maiduguri the car will still move.

When you are safe, just put a call to your tracker and it demobilizes the car.

Insurance take over.

A car as clean as this, my first suspect is the dealership especially if the car disappeared like magic in a twinkle of an eye.

If you park it, in a wrong place,. Say by the roadside and not properly parked , please check that VIO office at Wuye behind Royal Family, they have towed my car like that before.
