I want to do international wire transfer, please can you guys enlighten me on the requirement needed to open a domiciliary account?

U will get 2 refs to fill for u with current account but not salary, passport 2 max, at least 100 USD initial deposit, fill bank form, water bill or print ur prepaid meter nd go to aedc to stamp, d address there should b ur house address.

For gtbank, you'll need 2 referees with current acct (not salary acct), 2 passports, current utility bill (I used PHCN bill. u don't need to take it anywhere for it to be stamped), they'll give u forms to fill and you must have an account with them or be willing to open a new one alongside the domiciliary account.

You don't need any initial deposit to open it but your account won't be activated untill a deposit is made.

I'm not talking based on wat I heard. I just opened one a few weeks ago.

The refs, are you going with them or will they be given papers to fill at home.

It means only current account holders can sign the reference form. Most salary accounts are current accounts but those ones aren't suitable. That's why they said current account holders but not salary account.

They'll fill a reference form at home or in their office. They're like guarantors, the bank need not see them in person except an issue arises otherwise their signature, name and account number is enough for the bank.

I don't understand why they make it hard for us to survive in this country. Nigerian cards were working two years ago, now they'd stress one to go open a $ account, look for current account holders and so on.

Abeg who fit help me transfer money to Microsoft. I think they are the only ones that don't accept Payoneer.
For you guys looking for an easy way out, just get a Payoneer card (although they've got poor customer service) because the banks here would rip you.
