the drip is meant to keep you satiated! I was on drip alone for 72hours! I wasnt hungry (maybe I was but looking at my baby didn't allow me feel it I can't say) I only felt tasty on the 3day evening. I asked for water but was refused they said I needed to fart first! I couldn't hold it and I took a sip that night.

By the morning they gave me peppermint and i farted by noon.

Ask them to speed up your drip may be it's going too slow for you ( I finished 5 or more in a day).

Inform them how you feel so they will know what steps to take! You shouldn't be losing strength at all! Ask your mom or DH to go inform the doctor asap.

Yes,u cant take any food yet but they should let u chew gum(orbit chewing gum-the one with d blue pack) and plenty of trebor! These will help u fart no matter how minimal d fart is. I had cs and these 2things helped me alot...

For me o,i dont think u can fart without d help of the chewing gum/trebor(lots of it).

Myself and all the moms in my ward during the period I gave birth via CS told ourselves dt we shd buy trebor 4 us to pass gas and it didn't reach up to five hrs I passed out gas and even used the toilet later in the evening.

It's well just hang in,be patient. If you are in drips nothing will happen. It's just human feeling you haven't eaten. Remember this phase will pass away. See it as mum's love. Tell your mind you are healing, have to be strong for baby. Congratulations.

Yes,you can fart without Trevor, etal different systems react differently. Hospital policies also differ. Take it easy for now and future. It's all in the mind. Just talk to the nurses or docs as they attend to you.
