Put yourself in the policemen's place. You see a man wearing camouflage, carrying what looks like an AK47 in the Northern part of Nigeria. Will u as a lawman ask if the gun is real or will you open fire?

The man may not derserve to die he brought it upon himself by his act. Anybody that carries a gun(fake or not) to rob others should accept that he might die in the act.

If this were to be a civilized nation, that security officer is in soup. How can a trained officer not recognize that crap? He didn't have to kill the guy. Should have given him a chance to surrender. Poor boy got wasted by some mofo. RIP.

In civilized like the US, police will GUN YOU DOWN. you don't dress like a boko haram member, carry a gun and expect nothing to happen. What if that gun was real? And BTW even though d gun was fake it looked enough like a real gun to cause the security officer to shoot.

make una nor vex oh,... since d gun is fake, it shows dat he did not fire, so therefore, there was no threatening shot fired up by him, even if he was running, he is still a suspect,... I don't think the police did d right thing by killing him.... at least shoot his legs will be preferable...

If the gun was real, the first shot would have killed somebody. As a LEO you err on the side of caution
