@spyder880. Just asking a question. What is the purpose of having a Damp Proof Membrane on a decking? I thought the idea of a DPM or DPC is to prevent moisture. If a DPM is applied on a foundation, do you still need it on a decking? Thanks.

Structurally, the membrane can trap more moisture inside the decking slab after casting, aiding the curing of the concrete.

Economically, the membrane can ensure the concrete don't come in contact with the wood, saving the wood for future use.

The concrete treatment process for the beams.......

We completed the cast of the decking by Saturday evening, we are going to take a break for a few days then restart the upper floor.........

We have restarted work on this project. First floor partitioning ongoing this morning. More pictures later.

So, after about 10 days of this decking curing, I buy more blocks and we start forming the first floor rooms............
