Nelson Semedo's signing from Benfica seems to be the only concrete achievement thus far and with the transfer window closing in three weeks, hopes of landing any major target seem to be fading.

So Nairalanders cast your opinions on this matter.
Note: persons of interest.
-Coutinho (had first and second bids rejected by Liverpool)

-Verratti (personal terms were agreed but an adamant PSG refused to sell. plus there's the Neymar Issue)

-Dembele (seems feasible at the moment although BVB have reiterated he's not for sale)

There's a boatload of others but these are Barcelona's major targets especially given the space left by the Brazilian(Neymar Jr).

Personally I think it all boils down to Greed as every club wants to have a huge slice of the "Neymar transfer money" (€222 million). going at this rate the philosophy of football and the beautiful game would be lost In a grotesque attempt by clubs to over-price it.

But that's just my opinion.
I want to know why my Club has difficulty signing players.

Barca should turn their attention to mesut ozil and forget coutinho. Cuz Ozil and dembele will be great addition to Barca.

undecided

As a barca FAn we shud just forget this transfer market

And build the talent we have available and keep the money for future use

This current board is turning barca to man city . spending money anyhow and not developing home grown talent

Many clubs know we have 200m now

So let's avoid buying any player for now

Bacca has derailed. The bacca I knew had its backbone on La masia(its football academy). But today it relies much on already made players. Iniesta, Messi, Xavi, Pique etc are the products of La mesia.

Bacca should go back to its basics

Your post is null. Bárcęlonâ isn't unlucky to sign players.

The issue here is that; Barcelona is only aiming for top class players, if not the best players on the team they want to sign; so it is quite difficult to sell one/best players these days to any other teams without breaking the bank account.

If Bárcęlonâ wants to sign 20 average players today, it won't be difficult.

They'd be unlucky till they ship off that Midget who keeps hiding under the cover of other players and still steals their shine.

Replacing Neymar and Iniesta at this period is very difficult. Teams that are into selling of prime players no longer wishes to e.g Liverpool considering their coach, Klop has been a selling coach at Dortmund. He wants to compete in Europe with the best crop of players in his team now.
Same apply to Psg and Dortmund by not letting Verrati and Dembele leave respectively.
It is high time Barcelona board give the la masia players opportunity to play,The season might be awful but next season will be better.
ALL IZZ WELL

I wouldn't term them unsuccessful, their current squad could still take their EPL wife ar----- to the cleaners anytime!

fact is this transfer was particularly boring!

many players contract will be expiring this season so we expect an exciting transfer come 2019 until then let everyone manage

You called them unlucky after selling Neymar for world record fee of €222 million, I will rather say they are not ready to spend is there problem and as you have rightly said greed they want good players at a low price which is not possible.

I am happy we are unlucky, they should go to the B team and pick players. I am happy for the recall of Deoluefo, they should recall Tello too.
