Dear Jnyuwa02,

God bless you for firstly being matured in re-asserting your earlier posited opinion.(Some may have reacted the other way)

As you have re-stated your position now again, it's clear you have info about what you are saying and I appreciate you for that.

If that's the case, I will go ahead and submit my EE application this October 2017 whilst I wait to apply for my Study Permit in March 2018

Thanks once again.

Yes I do and one person here on Nairaland the other day mentioned applying for both at the same time, but his EE came through first. Best wishes to you as you apply. As soon as I put in my application for a TRV next week, my next project is jumping on the EE forum on Nairaland and actually applying. That way I have no time to be anxious waiting for TRV approval. The world is a wide and exciting place and people need to extend their tentacles everywhere and explore and watch and pray, instead of worrying. Worrying has never solved a thing.

It's dubious people like you that cause genuine applications to delay and take longer time! Why all these corner corner business? TRV is not life.

Pls let's be mindful of our approach to salient posts like this.

It's really uncalled for.

In as much as I understand your perception towards the subject matter, there are more better ways to respond before the @justwise takes his decision.

Kindly remove your post as well.

What should Pple of 19weeks, 20weeks or a year TRV applicants do?

Sorry.

Comparing your application made in China to those applying in Nigeria is like comparing apples and oranges. There is a big difference between applying in China and in Nigeria. In China it would be easy for you, but in Nigeria, the VOs have seen every trick in the book and therefore are tough on Nigerians and Ghanian applicants. You have to do more to obtain visa in Nigeria than in other countries. If you used only your parents as ties in China and did not submit birthcerticates, in Nigeria you have to do more.

Boss,

You just missed the entire point of my statement.

What would you have those that done have other home ties except their family do? Manufacture them so as to get refused for misrepresentation?

If you read up from previous threads, you will see many applicants that applied in Nigeria that were approved with just parents and siblings as home ties.

If we are to use your analogy of apples and oranges, those that applied outside nigeria are like 7 apples found in a farm of oranges. Are you telling me that oranges refused to get ripe because they have just parents and siblings.

Every application is treated within its own rights. Use what you have and let God handle the rest.

So I just landed safely at Toronto Pearson (YYZ) via BA.

I was asked for my school fees receipt by the immigration office before he agreed to Print my study permit.

Luckily I had access to the airport WiFi and quickly logged into my school portal to show him evidence of all my fees paid. He then proceeded to Print the letter.

After handing me my study permit, I asked If that was all and he said yes! I was not convinced Cus I had read someone's experience here about getting his SIN number and work permit too at the airport, so I reluctantly walked away from him to leave, then one nice lady called me back and asked if I won't like to get a work permit and I'm like 'why the hell not' ...the hell was silent sha!!!

So she took me into the room again and in 5 minutes I was done!

So I got my study permit, SIN, and work permit at the airport in less than 15 minutes!

So please you guys should have a copy of your school fees receipt handy and all other documents (even if it's an e copy on your phone) you never know what these guys might ask for!

I'm signing out of these thread and will be posting all my experience in Canada as a student here:

babaJ need to learn a lots. Let me mention few guys I know that only use family as home tie. @wealth360, Chonewillie, and two other guys I know very well that are not on this thread. Families are primary home ties. It depends on how you package your app.

I see lots of persons mailing the Canadian Visa Office in Ghana in other to follow-up on their application cos they haven't heard from them, I would say mailing them is not necessary cos it will only leave u in panic mode and its not like they will attend to it speedily cos you have mailed them. Just place your hand on your chest n say all iz well!
And trust God. Das oll

I am simply saying as someone who applied from China, bootstrapping your situation to an applicant within Nigeria, may not always rhyme. Fact of the matter is those in Nigeria have to do more and are vetted toughly than those who applied in other country. Yes people in Nigeria without only siblings have been approved. But only in the context of having buoyant family asset and other substantial ties. We have witnessed someone on this forum with full scholarship and siblings and parents in Nigeria like you getting rejected simply because of home ties. Only in Nijia. The truth is simply, applicants applying within Nigeria are required to do much more and are vetted toughly than other places.

Wasn't wealth 360 sponsored by his dad or relative and had to show land and property, including wife and children? Or was it the CanadianNurse? Lol. I agree with you though, it's matters how you present your application. But in Nigeria, parents and siblings are almost always never enough to VOs as home ties. Nigerians are required to show more. Knowing this would help.

I think you should still wait for your gcms note to come out. It is a document that shows the detailed reason the Visa Officer delayed your application. The one ticked is just a general reason without much information.
There is still enough time to meet up with January class. The note should be put before the end of September since you have requested for it and then you can put in your visa application in October.
You can apply for you children to join you as soon as you land in Canada. Just make sure, you have everything sorted i.e finances, accommodation, daycare/school, nanny and all that stuff. (This will show that you are prepared and their presence won't affect your education).
What school did you apply to?

Thank you.

Dear erratic moniker, kindly permit me to use the aforementioned adjective to qualify you.

Inasmuch as I have nothing against your posts and arguments which was sometimes termed as thinking outside the box by a moniker, the only thing I want to be sure of is your tribe.

I have a friend from your end (jos) if am not mistaken who is no difference from you basically in argument.

Nothing attached.

Just mere curiosity!!

Guy we are talking about applicant home tie. Bobo not sponsor. The only home tie I used was my wife and daughter with my families. No land, didn't add my car papers whatever. I even submit a letter that am resigning from my job.

Why does my tribe matter? The problem with Nigeria is we are quick to condemn ourselves and tag ourselves into tribes than engage into any meaningful dialogues that moves national discourse forward. I respectfully refuse to divulge my tribe. It's irrelevant to the matter at hand.

Applicant home ties and sponsor bear a relation. Like if you are been sponsored by your dad who is financially buoyant, it will give cause for the VO to believe with even no further showing, that your wealth factor will induce your return to Nigeria. In any case, your ties you mentioned, wife and children appear good.
