Goodday nairalanders, am here because i believe i woud get the best solution that have been hindering me from launching my website.
I am building a website which requires people to sign up/get registered but the problem am having is that after someone registers, the site does not automatically send an activation link to the persons email and when you manually click on the request confirm email buttons, it says an aunknown error has occurred. This issue have made me not to launch my website for over 3months and i have changed programmers twice. pls what can i do

it may be due to so many reasons?, either the library you are using to send the email or there is a bug someone in your code, anyway you can contact me via isaiahtokunbo11@gmail.com. let me see if i might be of help, i have experience stuffs like these before.

As someone already said, there are many possible reasons. But the general thing is that there's a big in the code.
I think the mail function is fine, it's just the logic used in that particular page that's faulty. As I can see, the error is custom made, so it's easy to know what's causing the error.

If your paid someone to develop the script, it should take the fella more than 5 minutes to see what's going on.
But if it's a ready made script, you can pay a programmer to fix it. It should take more than 3 hrs for someone that knows what he's doing..

And if you're building it yourself, then you obviously don't have in depth knowledge of the language you're using.

Since you said you've paid 2 programmers, it's either those 2 are quacks, or you underpaid them.

Note that you'll have to give the programmer access to your server.

Get a good programmer to look into the template and fix the bug
