Gurus in the house , your kind advise for the below question. Thanks

[Qquote author=Believe13 post=59465342]Hello justwise and everybody in the house,

Please I have some question, I have someone that is very much interested In the federal skilled work, the person is a fashion designer with secondary school cert and also married with children. I notice most applicants here are graduate but in her case as secondary school cert holder .Please how do I go about assisting her in the process. Advice will be well appreciated. Thanks in anticipation of your kind response.

Yes, the person could qualify under the Federal Skilled Trades. But not sure if his/her trade is eligible just yet under this scheme.
Check here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/trades/apply-who.asp

Still, even if he/she qualifies it's not gonna be easy getting ITA, except the person goes through one of the provinces. Some draws ago, they actually had a draw specifically for them with the CRS score at 166. Maybe they'll have one again.

Good day house,

I am a fresh poster, however, I have been going through almost all post on the thread. I will be diving into the pool soonest( Pool of Bethseda cheesy) Done my IELTS...good score CLB 9; WES almost complete. I need advise on few things as I beleive I WILL receive ITA as soon as I create my profile(I would have anyways if I created the profile before last draw). Now the issue is this. I have a baby on the way ( say Nov/Dec).

1. Should I go ahead with the profile, in case i get ITA shortly after will I be able to add the new baby even after ITA and Submission od app.
2. What document can I start preparing while I enter the pool and wait ITA.

On your first question, I'm pretty sure you can go ahead and then add the baby later. People have done that on this thread without issues. Of course, it'll affect your POF and maybe other things. Experienced guys can put mouth here.

On your second question, check below post

I am post-ITA. Which resources should I consult for detailed information?

@cochtrane Asylum here means Refugee seeker:

@OdofinLadi

This is the first paragraph on the Refugees from outside Canada eligibility page:

"Determine your eligibility
To come to Canada as a refugee, you must be referred. The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), a designated referral organization, or a private sponsorship group can refer you. You cannot apply directly to us as a refugee."

I think you can see its not a walk in the park this one.

Please clear your though that the process is cumbersome... It is a process with a process;
Get your ECA, achieve a great IELTS score, create your profile, wait for ITA, gather documents, submit and patiently watch your application progress. Some of this might take a while but that does not make it cumbersome. In fact, it is as straight forward as ABC - Why almost every member of the thread will advice DIY.

It might be expensive but not cumbersome.

Modified.
If you've checked eddycross link, you'd see that the asylum "system" looks more like the "cumbersome" process. You have options, you choose which is less cumbersome to you. Goodluck brother.

Thanks for showing up. However, its better you state your services+average rates here and build a good relationship with folks here since everyone will at one time or the other need ticketing services.

Ok thanks.
Ticket rates are not fixed because different people travel at different times. Tickets are more expensive during the Summer than Winter periods. But we can give you very reasonable prices.
You can contact me or send a text message to 09097336178.

if you must do it though, you need to be out of Nigeria first. And then convince them that you can't return to Nigeria because of persecution.

teephart:

Good day everyone, this is a nice thread and have been following and reading.

Please I wish to submit my EOI this September, but before I proceeded, I need to know where I stand.

1)- I have six years work experience which I gained after my ND in Engineering and I did my HND while working, after my HND, I got a managerial position which is less than a year, what's my Chance with NOC?

You should be able to use your six-year work experience. Just make sure it's your desired NOC and you can get a reference letter to prove it. You may not need that managerial experience, since FSW maxes out at 6 anyways.

2) I have a fiancé, we're not married yet as we don't want to spend money on wedding for now. I wish to process my application with her.
Can i submit my EOI with her has my COMMON LAW PARTNER, and if i get ITA, we'll do a court wedding. What are my chances about that? Wanted her to do IELTS and ECA
Yes, you can. I have not seen on this thread someone who did that though. But IRCC explicitly says you can apply as common-law partners.
You just need to show proof. Check this link for the proofs you need http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=347&top=14

3) am yet to do my ECA, i heard IQAS is cheaper, which would you guys advise? WES or IQAS? I had my ND in another school.different from my HND. I don't mind the delay in time, i am after gaining a good CRS score and spending minimal.
You probably know already that your ND & HND will provide you with "two or more certs" which will count towards increasing your score.
WES or IQAS? I think IQAS is cheaper, but not by very much. Check their websites. I think WES is about 285CAD & IQAS is 275CAD.

4) POF, what are my options on getting POF, my salary account has a constant flow of monthly salary, but i do invest in lanes property so no huge savings, can i USE my RSA statement of Account? What if i sell my landed property and do a lump sum lodgement, won't that trigger an alarm?

If you sell your land properties and do a lump sum, it shouldn't be a problem. What guys have done here is to tender receipts and other docs to support the lump sum deposit. And then a LOE to elaborate.
RSA statement of account? There has been mixed feelings about that on this thread. it has been thrashed exhaustively with some showing discomfort with it and others claiming to use it. In the end, I haven't found anyone who used it to specifically cross the threshold set by IRCC. So, not too sure about using it. I think you are safer just avoiding RSA, as it can be considered funds not readily available to you and therefore not meet IRCC's requirements. Anyways, the jury is still out on this one.

One major thing to do is get your comprehensive medical report from your doctor, submit alongside when you go for medical test. It also helps a favourable decision.

This is however provided the ailment has been treated and the prognosis is positive.

MRSDA:
Hello house, hope everyone is good. Does anyone understand the issue of medical inadmissibility. Someone i know has been denied because of this. Seems Canada is not tolerant to migrant families with children that have learning or special needs.

@Kontagious, my pleasure. Hopefully, your result will come out positive. We are rooting for you.

Kontagious:
Hello Great People,

I have applied for EOR, also decided not to take the test till I have my result back. After reading through people’s experience with IELTS especially @bigfido, Jesuba and a couple of others, I thought these are folks who had to wait 2 years or write over 4 times just to have a desirable score, why can’t I wait for 10 weeks more especially when time between new score and remarked score is just 4 weeks. In essence, I won’t be waiting for 10 weeks but 4 weeks. Maximum draws within that 4 weeks period will likely be just 2 – why dash BC 68k if what I’d be missing is two ITA draws.

Thank you @Yimiton and Wura27 for your words. You both gave me another dimension to my case. Your thoughts, encouragement and support is priceless. I really appreciate you. Thank You.

@Jesuba. You need not apologize please, no offence taken. I had a good laugh reading the post myself. Wish you success in your next attempt.

Thanks @all

For question 3, use WES to evaluate your ND/HND certificate which will be more favourable than IQAS. WES will evaluate it as "2 years Diploma (OND), 3 years Diploma and 1 year Postgraduate certificate" (which gives you points for two or more certificates).

same as mine@ bolded.
My employer, to the best of ma knowledge, wasnt contacted.
However, I think CIC uses Linkedin to do initial checks.....cos i noticed my linkedin profile was viewed "in a private mode" within 4wks of my AOR.

So i advice u may wanna look into that if ur company has no internet presence. CIC may choose to contact ur employer directly if the need arises e.g your linkedin job profile has no traces of the noc u have claimed.

Cheers.

Verification is usually done through the documents you submitted and other open source information like LinkedIn, facebook etc (so tidy those up). Additionally, they MAY contact your organisation where they are not satisfied and wish to further clarify.

hi, i'm new here but maybe I can help

Tip:Once your application is updated to approved on your CIC account, that tells you that your passport has been stamped and then you receive a mail from Accra to collect your passport. My pp was stamped one week after receipt but got CIC alert 2 days later and Accra sent mail thereafter.

From your post, you sent yours on a Saturday meaning delivered on Monday so give it till the end of week .Hopefully, you should have heard something by then.

My 2 cents

Eesha:
Hola,

Please have you been advised on if ur passport is ready?.

Sent mine via DHL since Aug 5th and nothing yet.

I just registered for express entry and the system tells me I did not meet the requirements which i am sure I did.

Age = 12
Education=22
Work experience=9 (I decided to use one year experience due to ease of getting reference letter)
Test of English = 24

total Score = 67/100

What could be the problem?

It's your supervisor's discretion to issue and sign the letter. You can also add the generic letter from HR alongside employment letter and other docs u might have.

But there is absolutely nothing to worry about. It's not illegal nor fraudulent as long as the info contained and true.

Thanks @boldinc. I got the mail from HR declining my request for CIC format. I feel safer going with the plain paper supervisor letter and employment/promotion letters route. I really appreciate ate your input on this. Thanks and God bless. My our canny dreams come true

I think they contested but lost the case or they gave up. It is definitely sad because like you said the whole point really is to have a better opportunity, especially for the children. After hearing the word medical inadmissibility, i then went to do a lot of research on it and I found out that canada is quite strict. I guess the whole point is for the family to take care of the bills if need arises? I wonder....

A close family friend of mine who applied through the Business Investor route had to go through a lot of paper work on the medical of their child with Down Syndrome. I know they were initially refused but later approved. They are in Canada now but their application took longer than those in that route. In all, it is possible to get approved with proper documentation and its sure worth the long process. For them, their main reason for the immigration was for that child in particular. Please encourage your friend to try harder. God help us all.

Hi everyone. Please I'm here again. My wife's transcript has been sent to WES and it has been delivered to them and signed for by one C Maple since Thursday. This is evidenced via DHL tracking. Up till now her status still remains "Transcript not received".

Please I need suggestions on steps I am to take now to ensure that they acknowledge the receipt of the transcript?
