Your experience will be substituted for education as your degree is not related to any of your intended occupation. Is your job description more of sales and marketing than customer service or otherwise? I know that AIM assesses for Sales and Marketing Manager occupation with some requirements including organogram. Weigh your options, as our gurus proffers further advise

Well the info provided is not sufficient. I thought u said u read from the 1st page? How old are u? Will ur age fetch u 30 points or 25 points? Ur BSc will most likely give u 10 points since its a 4yr course, though it all depends on d assessing authority to decide, as for work experience dey will reduce it to whatever they feel u deserve, if dey remove one yr which i doubt, u will get 5 points But if dey give u below 3yrs u get no point. Have u written English exam? What's ur score? Answers to the above questions will help us in advising u.

There is racketeering going with PTE voucher through Ukeas.
I practically called 5 office locations and got the response.

"We are out of vouchers for now. Until sometime next week.
If you would like to get from one of our agents at some discount rate please let me via bla bla bla"

This PTE something is not funny again ooo. Why will an organized company be allowing its staff to be perpetrating acts that can damage the brand's reputation?

Abeg our brothers and sisters on the other side of the red sea (AUS) How can you be of help to us in making vouchers available?

Hoping to hear from you soon.

This has been going on for so long. Dunno why the recent hullabaloo ontop PTE.

Its either you wait till vouchers are available when you are able to get it for the 52k or spend extra.

Truth is PTE vouchers get exhausted pretty fast hence the hoarding. Even Laidera that charges a premium of 60k experiences voucher scarcity. They will tell you they are out of vouchers and will register you in advance pending when its in stock.

I had to buy an extra voucher in June due to its fluctuating availability.

So peeps be informed. Buy n stock as soon as its available. Don't wait until you are ready to write.

Hi guys...

I applied second week of January and pressed IP in May. However, I haven't heard from CO up until now.

Do you think I should do a follow up mail to them? Or not?

Below is from VETASSESS
"If the qualification is not in a highly relevant field, two years of employment at an appropriate skill level, completed in the last five years which is highly relevant to the nominated occupation is required. This is reduced to one year if there is an additional qualification at least at AQF Certificate IV level in a highly relevant field."
So I think if you package your CV and JD well based on anzsco requirement and their JD, you should get a positive assessment. However, you also need to take note of the state requirements sponsoring the occupation.

Hello Bankole1790,

If you assess with either ICAA or CPA attaching your school syllabus and ensuring that your job description is in sync with the required skill for Accountants, I believe you should be fine. Note as Bellong said, Accountants need a minimum of 75 points. So hit the ground running by visiting the websites of the assessing bodies.

@Toslad can we please talk personally, you can send me your phone number.

Hello all, I had sent an application to Victoria on 9 Aug for state nomination, in 12 hours I got reply from them that I had lodged an EOI with NSW too( I had told this in my application), they asked me in order to finalise my application I had to tell them that I prefer Victoria over NSW for state nomination, I sent them the reply yesterday and told them that I am willing to prefer Victoria over NSW, people usually get this response from Victoria after quite some days, I got it next day of my application lodge, now does it mean that they have already selected me for nomination and they wanted to confirm my priority? Or it's a usual mail? Confused... and anxious... I have 70 points as civil engineer with 13 years experience and good English score, can someone advise,? Regards

Hi KayVutton,

RPL samples. Sent check your mail.

Alphadoor asked a question. When did the acquire the profesional certs. the oldest is the most important not the most recent. you may not need RPL afterall.

see the screenshot attache.

CCIE, MCSD are mentioned on ACS assessment guidelines as equivalent to Australian Diploma and that is enough for a positive assessment. However to maximize your points for experience you will need to check which one you acquired first out of the the 4 Education options below:

1) your B.Sc - RPL needed
2) CCIE
3) MCSD
4) Any other certificate you may have e.g MCTS ( Note that ACS recognised some certificates as equivalent to AQF diploma but for some reasons best know to them they did not put it in thier assesment guidline, and if you send mail to them to ask they will simply refer you to the assessment guiline

Sorry I'm just replying.

CompTIA A+…..2006
bachelor's........2007
ITIL....................2014
MCSD................2016

Thanks a lot for your time. You and Alphadoor have been too kind.

@everG: I believe you would still get your points for education. What school did you graduate from?

As per NT's nomination, the information you have is correct. Hence, having a relative or friend who currently resides in the state would be a chance booster for getting a 190 offer. However, being a younger relative in your case might be tricky (just a thought) but giving it a try is of much worth

Hi everyone, which accounting body in Australia is lenient in accounting skills assessment ? My qualifications are below;
ACCA (UK)
MBA (Federation uni, Australia).
Bachelor's degree (OBU, UK )
Advanced diploma in accounting (UK).
I was recently given a negative assessment by
Vetassess and the reason was that my employment was not so much related to Internal audit.
Hence, I want to try any of the accounting bodies.
I have written PTE and achieved an average 72 in all. Please advice is needed urgently as I will like to apply soon.

Good morning FCCA2012,

What is your first degree?

Please go with either ICAA or CPA but align your Jd with the requirement of Accountants.

Go through their sites to check out their requirements. I believe you are good to go with what you have already.
