Well Xperia is great! But I cannot advice anyone to buy Sony in Nigeria. They have no authorised service centre in the country.

That's an easy choice that NOBODY has to make. Most young Nigerians are on a 30-70K budget for their smartphone.
Samsung isn't making phones for them, Apple isn't making phones for them.

They force things with UK used and end up buying half dead 3-4 year old phones with screens that cost 30-70K. They realize their mistake when the battery dies in 4-5 hours, they get a powerbank to console themselves. They master the art of carrying powerbank so much, it becomes a norm.

They also manage with some buttons not working and paper on the battery to hold it(coz old samsung phones have removable battery).

Same people would repair charging port like twice a in 6 months but they won't tell you that struggle. Their phone also refuses to charge sometimes when it's hot, coz refurbished phones heat up almost to boiling point and loses charge even when plugged in.

Even when their apps that are not supported misbehave, these same guys would install custom upgraded rom and force the apps to work at the expense of the speed of default apps just coz it's a suffer head thing to do.

Those are the same people on here telling you to buy some 2014 samsung coz the specs are good lol.

The Note 4 user was battery life always failing after some hours outside the house and cracked screen which he managed coz it was too expensive to fix, he also didn't buy it as new. As for the Note Edge, i actually never heard complaints coz i'm not close to the owner. Meanwhile ,if that screen cracks(and it would) and the owner cannot stand the sight...he/she MUST manage it like that coz it's not worth it, i think it's 50K or so.

Regarding the screen, you should be ready to shell out money to fix such things. You can't buy a BMW, Benz or Audi and complain about the prices of fixing it's problems

The price of the brand new iPhone 6 32GB is $400 in Nigeria. Even the Samsung S6 cannot stand the test of time like that and is not worth buying in 2017 especially at a price that can get you a nice A7 2017 or A5 2017 with much better features complete with ip68.

If you have to buy a used phone for above the average budget of 30-70K, you better be getting something with a nice fingerprint scanner and battery life for a day at the very least, not something that looks like you've been struggling to change it for years when you just got it. You should be dying to get rid of your s6 edge, the battery wasn't enough from the get go & has probably swindled even further over the years(unless you bought it new in 2016), 3-4 hours of blazing fast gaming or heavy use before needing to charge isn't going to cut it if you're coming from an Infinix Note 3 for example. Also, the glass probably got cracked just by looking at it knowing what we know about samsung phones lol.

Who is checking for V30? If LG fans knew any better they would port to Samsung asap!

About the A5 and A7 being better than the S6 edge and S6, it's not that hard to figure conclude if you use the comparison feature on GSMarena and watch a lot of phone comparison videos between the 2.

Actually, new products aren't always better than old as with the case of cars but old is relative, a year in mobile tech is like 3 years irl so that's something worth considering if the manufacturers themselves stopped manufacturing the device 3 years ago.
