It appear that, you don't know how jurisprudence works...the case has not been presented to the Judge.

The IPO has not presented his case, testimony, evidence, etc to the Judge as to why they think the defendant is guilty as charged and as such, there is nothing for the Judge to judge aka adjudicate on at this preliminary stage.

Once the IPO decides to proceed and present their case, it is only then the Judge can judge; but now they are just talking about bail, etc.

In the US you can be jailed for failure to pay child support. However this case seems a little different. I believe this particular woman is asking for a beating and death. You cannot trap a person like a wild animal and expect them remain in bondage. One day they will kill you to gain their freedom.

So, let's say an IPO wants to completely fvck someone up and doesn't present the case to the court for like a year or 10 years, is this acceptable? In essence, what's the max number of days (or centuries ) that police can lawfully hold a person without charges?

It seems Nigerian laws are solely designed to maintain the power and tyranny of a few over the rest.

The most foolish decision the man will make is to marry that lady.

You have been given 50k bail fine, stay in prison till your friends, relatives or even the girl you originally intends to marry pays for your bail.

Now that the mumu have opened negotiations with the lady, when the priest or Imam, or pastor or court ask you do you take this lady to be your lawful wedded wife, just say capital No, tell them that you're being forced into the marriage and the marriage ends immediately.

I'm not supporting him impregnating the lady, but once they didn't sign any agreement of marriage before jumping into bed, he should not be forced or coerced into marriage to avoid increase in broken homes
